The premise of this book and the fact that I enjoyed Amish romance books back when I was younger was what got me reading this book.
The idea of an old friend coming back and both parties potentially falling for one another was too good for me to pass.
However, I couldn’t get into it. The writing style kept pulling me out of the book.
“With a quick, automatic reflex…”
There’s just too many unnecessary descriptors used. A reflex is already an involuntary instantaneous response.

The Quilt Room Secret is a well written Amish romance. I throughly enjoyed reading this book. My thanks to the publisher and Netgalley. This is my unbiased review.

Loved reading the wonderfully written romance story. Even though Trini is starting to fall for Jacob, she still plans on leaving her Amish roots, move to Rhode Island, and continue to make her quilts. Read the highly recommended, fabulously written, and a must read riveting love story.

Jacob never forgot the young girl who once pushed him on the swing at this aunt's farm when he was a child. At the time, he was going through a heartbreaking time in his life, and she offered him kindness. In fact, he had been so taken with her, five-year-old Jacob make her a heart-shaped card on which he asked her to marry him. Now, as a grown man, Jacob inherits his aunt's farm, along with his brothers. From his front door, he can see the home of his long-lost beloved friend. A part of him has never stopped loving her, but Trinity has a secret that will make any romantic future for the pair impossible.
I truly enjoyed this character-driven novel which reads with all the charm and endearment of a Hallmark movie. I enjoyed all the characters, which include three brothers and three girl friends. At the center is the soft-spoken Jacob and methodical thinking Trinity. What really touched me was the numerous pearls of Godly wisdom expressed by the characters in navigating life's challenges. As I read, I could picture the Amish countryside and feel its tranquility. A truly heartwarming and satisfying read!

This is the story of a young Amish woman's journey to find herself and find out what is important and what is not. At first look I felt that Trini Sutter was living the ideal Amish life, she loved her job designing her own quilts, and had two close friends. What more could she want?
Enter an Amish man, Jacob Lantz, who has, along with his two brothers, inherited his beloved Aunt's farm. He has a secret he has carried since he was 5, he love's Trini.
Now Jacob wasn't the only one with a secret, Trini has a big one, and we are about to find out what it is, along with the entire Arthur Illinois Community. Is she about to do something that will change the entire course of her life?
