This book is jam packed full of thought provoking research and tips on how to foster a learning-rich environment for your children. I love the research recaps at the end of each section, and the action item list which will make executing this into action more digestible.

“On average, we forget about 42% of what we hear within 20 minutes, and more than half of memory loss occurs within just one hour!”

🧠 This book covers topics like: Emotional support, feedback, multi-tasking, understanding the relevancy of what they are learning, how to retain information, automaticity, tapping into intrinsic interests, setting SMART goals (includes a sheet to build that out), time management, different types of recall, how to connect new information with previous knowledge, managing test anxiety, building problem solving skills, fostering creativity, encouraging self reflection and much more!

👩🏻‍🏫 While I already practice many of these approaches, this book helps me understand the importance on a much deeper level, and reinforces some of the things I’ve been implementing as well as gives me a much bigger and better vision of how to approach it going forward, especially as I plan to home school.

Thanks to NetGalley, Digital Ventures, Dr. Wallace Panlilio II & Dr. Artyom Zinchenko for providing me with a complimentary ARC to review!

This was an excellent book. I only wish I had it to guide me when I was still parenting my children. There is lots of good advice in this one.
