This book was so good, I couldn't put it down! I've been a Basketball Wives fan since it premiered so I couldn't wait to read this! Shaunie did not disappoint. She gave us an excellent look at her life and what it was like living as Shaquille O'neal's wife and her journey to becoming her own woman and a business owner and role model for her kids. The book was moving, intriguing, and poignant. I finished it in a matter of hours, I was so engrossed in it. I will definitely be adding this to my collection of celeb biographies when it comes out.

I give this book 5 stars. It is not a messy tell all but Shaunie’s truth from past to present. I enjoyed the way the book was laid out sharing stories of family, love and her close bubble of friends. Just as I e always seen her on T.V and online Shaunie is unapologetically herself expressing her feelings on her new found marriage and stepping into the roll of First Lady which she makes her own. Sharing details about her children’s lives and ups and downs, I’m so glad to see that they all still have their teeth because one thing she’s going to don is let them know fast! Is she will knock them out! Overall really good read.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher Gallery Books, and the author, Ms. Shaunie Henderson, for an advanced copy of Undefeated in exchange for a honest review. All opinions are my own and there are no spoilers.

Undefeated is a look at the real woman behind the public image that many have come to know and so many have thought they knew. Ms. Henderson has invited the reader into her life to hear from her who she really is. The experiences that she recounts are honest, insight and told from a woman who has learned from her past experiences (no bashing or name calling here). She owns her journey unapologetically telling her story with a level of grace and wisdom that is rare and unmatched in today’s society. I would recommend this book to women, particularly Black women, who want to be inspired, uplifted, cry a bit and laugh. After reading, Undefeated, as a woman, you feel seen, heard, and understood while rooting and applauding Ms. Henderson for sharing her story. I look forward to seeing what heights Ms. Henderson goes to next and encourage everyone to get a copy of her book to learn about her for yourself.
