Starry Night: Not All Who Wander are Lost by D.P. Conway and narrated by Randy Hames was a lovely short story and is the third book in the Christmas Collection. When a young man wakes up injured in a mysterious land, not knowing who he is. An encounter with a group of shepherds leads him on an unexpected journey that will change his life forever. Perfect to start the Christmas season off.

This book was a bit hard to follow as the story, I’m guessing, is similar to a biblical story. The deep meaning got lost among the mix message of Shepards following the star. Although the main parts of the book were murky the ending was the perfect present delivered with a bow on top. Heart felt and a bit sad, the ending was exactly what the book needed.

This book is one of a series by this American writer. He put pen to paper during the Covid pandemic but the books read as if they are tales of old, passed down the generations.
This tale based on the shepherd’s story at Christmas is a sad one but filled with hope. It is not my favourite in the series but it will resonate with many; especially those who have lost someone recently or around the Christmas season.

Short, but it makes your heart warm. An injured young man goes on a journey without knowing who or where he is, but he knows he can trust a shepherd. It has religious tones, and gives a really nice message, perfect for Christmas.

Starry Night: Not All Who Wander are Lost by D.P. Conway takes a bit of getting into, when I first started listening to it, I was a bit confused, it was like I started the story in the middle but I stuck with it and it turned out to be a really heartwarming tale, perfect for a Christmas tale.

Book 3 in this Christmas collection. These books lean a bit religious. Just an FYI.

A man wakes up in a field with no memory. A shepherd finds him and heals him. The man is taken on a journey from which his life will change forever.

Super short, heartwarming Christmas story.

***This review, expressing my honest opinion, is voluntary, and I extend my gratitude to BooksGoSocial Audio and NetGalley for providing the Audio ARC***

I often select books without delving into the synopsis, and this one was no exception. Filled with enthusiasm for Christmas stories, I embarked on this particular read during the holiday season, only to find that it didn't quite resonate with me. The narrative unfolds as a wounded man awakens in an unfamiliar place, greeted by a stranger named Jessie. Struggling with complete amnesia, he places his trust in Jessie, a shepherd who reveals their mission: a journey to recover lost sheep.

"Starry Night" marks the inception of the Mysterious Short Stories series by D.P. Conway. Despite not aligning with my preferences, the tale exudes the heartwarming essence of Christmas, serving as a poignant reminder that endings often pave the way for new beginnings. Opting for the audiobook, narrated by Randy Hames, proved to be a wise choice, as he masterfully conveyed the story's depth and emotions.

Twelve Days, Nava, The Ghost of Christmas to Come, Starry Night and Home for Christmas are five novellas part of the Christmas Collection by D. P. Conway. I listened to them as audiobooks and overall enjoyed the stories (some a little more than the others). We can sense the strong faith the author has in the way he has written each story filled with hope, miracles, second chances and happy endings.

I received an ALC of each book by the publisher BooksGoSocial Audio and the author via NetGalley.

This is a lovely religious Christmas novella, which I really enjoyed listening to. The audiobook narrator did a great job, and as the book was only 1 hour long, I listened to it very quickly.

The story opens with a man who is unconscious on the ground, and a shepherd rescues him and helps him to heal. From there he is taken on an unexpected journey which changes his life. Highly recommended!

Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book.

A sweet, Christmassy tale but a little too preachy for my tastes. I dont always like a story with a moral.

This was a pleasant, religious, Christmas time short story with a wonderful message for readers. The narrator Randy Hames brings it home with D.P Conways writing. It was the perfect read for a drive during the holidays if you want a short but themed read or listen. Conways whole Christmas series is a delight.
