This was a super fun and easy romance that’s great for summer reading. Daphne and Chris are both super likable, and their love story is cute and enjoyable. That said, their relationship felt a little rushed. I wish there had been more time spent building their connection and showing their chemistry. Thank you for an E-ARC!

Kelley Armstrong is such a great writer. I love all her books and this romantic comedy did not disappoint. I read this in one sitting and absolutely loved the portrayal of Daphne and Chris. It was full of great banter and chemistry. The dual pov was everything I wanted! I felt it gave such good insight into the gendered nature of the publishing world and the struggles female authors still deal with even in these more modern times.
If you liked the movie The Lost City with Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum, this book is for you!

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.
This was a sweet rom com. Daphne uses a male pseudonym in order to sell her manuscript then hires Chris to play her when doing in person author events. Their chemistry and relationship is fun to read.
Recommended for fans of rom coms and fans of the outdoors!

This was, okay, it was cute. I didn’t love it, it just felt a little “young” to me overall, I will definitely check out more from this author in the future

This book is jam packed with trauma, lessons, funny moments, steamy scenes, and hard subjects but Kelley Armstrong tackles them all head on with kindness, respect and incredible writing. It was such an enjoyable book because both characters were flawed but not overly annoying to the point where you couldn't enjoy them or root for their growth.

I have been a fan of Kelley Armstrong's work for some time, and I was glad to receive an advanced copy of Finding Mr. Write. It is a great read for romance lovers.
Many thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for sharing this book with me.

I'm not sure there is anything Kelley Armstrong can't do. Years ago as a tween, I started my journey with her reading her Awakening series. I have read several of her thriller standalones, and was so excited to see her take on romance with Finding Mr. Write. This was a swoony, fun, heartfelt read that made my heart squeeze the whole way through.
Thank you to NetGalley and to the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This story was so surprising and fun! An author writes under a male pseudonym and falls in love with the guy she hires to play her for events?? Plot gold! But where this story shines is the personalities of the MCs. Daphne was so sweet and strong and I really enjoyed seeing her journey and how she grew into her power. Chris was a CINNAMON ROLL and I loved seeing him try to act the "macho man" part and ultimately failing. The story was extremely fun and I hope this author writes more contemporary romance!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with a copy of the book in exchange for my honest review.

I found very enjoyable and cute. I enjoyed the way these two characters worked together and how the overall worked towards a common goal, with a few hiccups along the way. Just like life! I thought it was inventive and a story outside of a lot of the common scenarios you may see with other romance books which is a nice change up. If you enjoy good banter and force proximity, give this one a try.
Thank you did Netgalley for the opportunity to read this book.

I was not a fan of the main character at all. She was so negative from the beginning with no real reason. The animosity between the fmc and mmc just seemed forced.

This was lots of fun. Kelley Armstrong is one of my fav authors and this was such a good first step into romance writing.

I will always excitedly read anything Kelley Armstrong writes, but with this being her first romance could't wait to get my hands on this! It was such a fun and cute love story.
I love the setting (much of the book takes place in the Yukon), the characters (the banter between Chris and Daphne was amazing) and the story.
Thank you to NetGalley and to Forever Publishing for the eARC.

I really liked Chris and Daphne and I thought the plot was an interesting idea. I found those parts engaging and I thought Chris was funny. I just didn’t feel the chemistry between the two and it took me awhile to finish the book. Kelley Armstrong is one of my favorite authors so I wanted to love this book.

The book started great- beautiful setting, well-developed and likable characters, witty and smart banter between them, but it got a little long and repetitive, and the ending seemed contradictory to one of the main points of the novel. Disappointed that a book set on showcasing a strong and independent woman fell into the man-saving trope. Still a recommended read as it's fun and entertaining.

Zane is the epitome of a man written by a woman. I adore Kelley Armstrong's time travel romances and was excited to read her first rom-com, but my reading happened to coincide with the news of an author claiming minority identities that they do not belong to which really begs the question of when is it okay to claim an identity different from your own. (In this case a white woman masquerading as a white man.)
Thanks to Forever and Netgalley for my copy to review.

funny & interesting premise with a million different potential plotlines and outcomes, ended up disappointed with how the author took it, tbh. it felt like right when anything interesting would start to happen, it was resolved, or something else happened to sideline it.
the conflict in this was like jell-o if that makes sense???
it was definitely a romcom, decently paced, & i would recommend it for someone looking for a lighthearted read!

Written by a new-to-me author, this book was such a delight to read and had me laughing out loud from start to finish. It's a wonderfully quirky love story filled with hilarious mishaps, witty banter, and swoon-worthy moments.
Daphne is a writer, and she has been rejected one too many times, just for being a woman. She decides to do something drastic and submits her next manuscript under a man's name, and what do you know, it becomes a big hit! Only now, she needs a man to pose as her alter ego. Chris steps in to fill that role and he also has a knack for pushing all of Daphne's buttons, but in an endearing sort of way. But Daphne soon learns Chris has secrets of his own which could put her appearance where the manuscript is concerned at risk.
The plot is lighthearted yet clever, with just the right mix of romance and humor, yet it also touches on some serious issues such as racism and sexism in the publishing arena.
If you're looking for a fun, laugh-out-loud story with a heartwarming romance, you'll definitely want to try this out. It's the perfect escape, and I found myself smiling long after turning the final page.
I received a complimentary copy from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.

Was this book predictable? Yes. Would I recommend it to my friends? Also, yes. I loved every minute of this book. It had excellent banter, well developed characters, it was everything I was looking for to escape once I got home from a terrible day at work. Thank you NetGalley for the advanced preview. (BTW, I definitely see Chris as Man of Steel era Henry Cavill. ;)).

Kelley Armstrong's *Finding Mr. Write* is an exhilarating and cleverly crafted romantic comedy that takes readers on a whirlwind journey into the world of publishing, identity, and the sometimes absurd lengths one will go to for success. The story centers on Daphne McFadden, a female author who finds herself at the center of an unexpected bidding war after she decides to masquerade as a rugged male author named Zane Remington. This daring whim leads to a whirlwind of fame and pressure, compelling Daphne to hire an actor to maintain the façade she has created. At the heart of the novel is the delightful clash between Daphne's aspirations and the chaos that unfolds when she hires Chris Stanton. While Chris is not a thespian by trade, his willingness to step into the role of the overly masculine Zane adds a layer of comedic tension and charm to the narrative. As the media frenzy surrounds Daphne’s picturesque Yukon home, Chris must not only embody Zane but also navigate the wild challenges of the wilderness, his newfound fandom, and his growing feelings for Daphne. Armstrong masterfully intertwines humor with heartfelt moments, allowing readers to connect with both Daphne and Chris on a deeper level. The dynamic between the two protagonists is palpable, filled with witty banter and genuine chemistry. As Chris transforms from an ordinary accountant into a larger-than-life character, readers are treated to a plethora of laugh-out-loud situations that highlight the absurdity of their predicament. One of the standout themes in *Finding Mr. Write* is the exploration of gender dynamics within the publishing world. Daphne's initial decision to adopt a male pseudonym speaks to the broader societal challenges faced by women in achieving recognition and success in a predominantly male-driven industry. Through her journey, readers are invited to reflect on the importance of authenticity and the often ridiculous lengths people go to in the pursuit of popularity and acclaim. As the plot unfolds, the stakes rise, and the tension builds toward a climax that keeps readers on the edge of their seats. Armstrong's skillful storytelling ensures that the narrative never loses momentum, seamlessly blending the elements of romance, comedy, and suspense. The eventual revelation of the truth not only serves as a pivotal moment in the story but also prompts a deeper reflection on identity and the masks we wear in our personal and professional lives. In conclusion, *Finding Mr. Write* is a delightful read that captivates with its humor, charm, and insightful commentary on the nature of fame and identity. Kelley Armstrong has crafted a story that is both entertaining and thought-provoking, making it a must-read for anyone who enjoys a witty romantic adventure. Whether you’re an aspiring author or simply looking for a light-hearted escape, this novel is sure to leave you smiling and perhaps contemplating your own “write lie.”

This was both a fun romance and a good commentary on the sexist that occurs in publishing (and everywhere let's be real). It's so dramatic to hire a man to play you as an author though, so the book isn't the most realistic BUT that just aids in the interest level for me, I like my romance with a little bit of silliness so if that's you then this will be a good one. And imagine falling in love with the man you hire to play you! Loved it.
