I became so ENGROSSED with this THRILLING and suspenseful thriller! Such a fast read that I could NOT put down!
Stella and Adam Knox are on a European vacation when a bomb explodes and Adam goes missing. The investigator tells her that he may have been the intended target, and Stella discovers her husband has been hiding many secrets.
Who can Stella trust? Who is this man that she married?
My thoughts:
Nail-biting and full of suspense, I really enjoyed this fast-paced read. I loved the ending, it was absolutely perfect!

3.5 Stars The Paris Widow is an exciting mystery about the dark underbelly of the art world, stolen antiquities and second chances.
Stella has left her old life behind and has finally found the love of her life. Her husband, Adam, is a handsome, charismatic, sweet, methodical thinker who deals in antiquities. When he goes missing after an explosion at the Parisian cafe they had just eaten in, Stella is in a state of shock. After digesting what happened, she realizes that too many details aren’t adding up.
As Stella searches for Adam and the answers surrounding the increasingly mysterious circumstances she finds herself in, Stella vows not to leave Paris without Adam, no matter what— In the days that follow, her life is in imminent danger. Still, she is fearless in finding the answers. And the more she finds out, the more questions arise— what has her husband been hiding from her? Our past always finds us—
This story is relatively short but immensely engaging and entertaining. There are layers of intrigue, betrayal, scheming, lies and tension, but also a more in-depth look at human motivation, the complexities of fully trusting and of love, and ultimately, second chances at life and the choices we make to set us on that journey.
I want to thank NetGalley Harlequin Trade Publishing, Park Row, for the e-ARC
in exchange for an honest review. All opinions expressed are mine.
The Paris Widow is now available in stores

This is not a bad book but it’s not amazing either.
Good story but missing a bit of action and thriller to the story.
We found out the punch too early in the book and it lost some of the thrills.

Really enjoyed the setting of this book, a dream vacation in Paris the city of love. And the suspense in the beginning was top notch but then quickly went downhill. The relationship between Stella and Adam seemed farfetched and overdone (I'm not a romance fan). Stella grated on my nerves and then infuriated me when her ex comes back into the picture! I lost interest in the rest of the story as it felt thrown together and disjointed. I've enjoyed other books by Kimberly Belle but I don't recommend this one. My thanks to the publisher for providing a review copy via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

This book was SO good! It was a total page-turner that I couldn't put down.
Stella Knox has finally found the love of her life. Adam is a nice, normal guy and so different from her ex. They're on a dream vacation around Europe, and things couldn't be more perfect until Paris. An explosion rattles the city square, and Adam goes missing. He may be injured or dead. As the police start to investigate, Stella finds out Adam has actually been on their radar for a while. He's been dealing rare and stolen antiquities. He has some criminal clients who are currently not happy with him. Was he the intended target of the explosion? Stella is determined to stay in Paris until she finds out the truth. But it seems like someone is trying to stop her. Is there anyone she can trust to help?
I totally devoured this well-written, fast-paced, twisty thriller. The plot was extremely engrossing, and I loved the blood antiquities angle. It made for a very interesting read. There's tons of action filled suspense. If you're looking for a totally bingeable thriller that will transport you to Europe, look no further. I highly recommend this one!

Adam and Stella have been traveling all over Europe, blissfully still in love after four years, but then a bomb goes off and Adam goes missing. Stella is panicked and desperate in her search for him and it becomes apparent, Adam wasn’t just the nice, normal guy she thought she married. However, Stella has secrets of her own, too.
As Stella digs deeper into Adam’s past, it’s not clear who she can trust. There are those who think she was involved with Adam’s business, and that she knows more than she’s letting on putting her in danger, as well.
The Paris Widow was an engrossing, action-packed mystery unfolding all over Paris, and parts of Europe, a glamorous backdrop to exciting story! I felt like a lot of the revelations were easy to spot, but the story was still a fun page-turner! A perfect thriller to sink into this summer!

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC of this book!
I expected more from this book to be honest. It took me a while to get through, and while I was interested in the plot I found myself not really caring to finish it.
I did really enjoy the ending though and I like how it all came together in the end.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC! My heart is still racing from this book. Stella and Adam are on a three-week European vacation. While in Paris, Adam is a victim of a horrific accident. As Stella tries to put the pieces together of what happened to Adam, she finds herself caught up in a dangerous world built on deceit, lies, and murder.

I usually enjoy Belle’s books and this one was no different! this is definitely more of an ‘action’ thriller than her usual more domestic thriller type of story, which isn’t always my thing personally but Belle kept me invested. I loved the French setting of the book too.

I always enjoy Kimberly Belle's writing. While the plot didn't grab me this time, I loved the character of Stella, and I'd actually be very interested in a spin off...

What will Stella do when her husband is presumed dead in an explosion on their last day of vacation in France? Should she stay until he is pulled from the rubble or return to the States, wait and pray for the best? Or will she forevermore be known as THE PARIS WIDOW? Find out in Kimberly Belle’s latest thriller.
Stella decides to stay and is contacted by the police who tell her that her nice, normal husband who trades in architectural antiques is actually a smuggler of blood antiquities. Stella can’t believe this about Adam so she begins her own investigation. With the help of Lucas Fournier, who contacts her from the US embassy, Stella follows a serpentine path learning bits and pieces about Adam along the way. As she draws closer to the truth she seeks the help of an ex boyfriend who was the reason she spent 26 days in a jail in France years prior. Will he help her?
This thriller had me hooked early on and left me dangling on the end of the line throughout. Just when I thought I had it figured out there would be another twist that made me question what I thought. As always, Kimberly Belle’s writing is clear and concise leading to an enjoyable read. I could feel myself walking down the cobblestone streets. I was looking over my shoulder to see if anyone was following me as I ran through the streets of Paris.

Stella and her husband, Adam are on a trip of a lifetime. They are on their final stop in Paris and enjoying every minute…until there is a random explosion at a cafe and Adam is now missing!
Stella turns Paris upside down looking for Adam. But, during this process she learns quite a few things about her husband she never expected. Everything she thought she knew about her husband is a lie. And now her life is endanger too!
This story just keeps building and building as Stella tries to uncover the truth. Stella is a tough woman and she just gets tougher and smarter as this story moves along…and moves along it does. This is fast paced and exciting and left me breathless in places.
This book takes you all over Paris! And what a chase it is! Talk about keeping me entertained all the way through!!! I loved the intensity…and the lies!
Need a great tale to keep you glued to the pages…THIS IS IT! Grab your copy today.
I received this novel from the publisher for a honest review.

Another wonderful thriller/mystery from Kimberly Belle. She is one of my favorite authors. I always want to read her new books. I know I won't be disappointed. This just might be the best one yet.
Set in mainly Paris, with a few look backs at places Stella and Adam have gone, you get a good look at this couple's lives. The love they share and the things going on that each does not know about. Yes they adore each other. They are deeply in love. But they also have secrets.
Stella and Adam just finished eating at a restaurant that Stella assured Adam he would love. And he did. They are headed back to their hotel to grab their luggage as it's almost time for them to catch their flight home. Adam realizes that he forgot his sunglasses at the restaurant and wants to go retrieve them. Stella says she will buy him another pair. An even better pair, but Adam wants those. They are special to him. As Stella makes her way to their hotel an explosion occurs. It happened at or close to where Adam was going....
After the explosion Stella can't find Adam. He's not answering his phone. She starts to panic.
What happened? Where is Adam? Did he get blown up? Is he a victim? Or is her the culprit? Stella doesn't trust anyone. She is determined to find Adam. Even if it's his body.
What happens next is lots of thrills for Stella. Not being able to trust anyone and not knowing what is actually going on, she starts looking into things. Into Adam's work. His business associates. Anything that will give her a clue. She's heard too much from the detective and someone from the American Embassy. She is not sure what exactly is going on but she refuses to leave Paris without Adam.
This book takes you to a few other places and shows you things that Adam did in the past and also things that Stella has done. You meet several people who may or may not be telling the truth. Stella does not know what to believe. Until she gets a phone call. Her life is going to change in ways she never saw coming.
This is a must read. Well written and based on actual events as to the theft of historical artifacts. The ways in which they were stolen and what was stolen. This author makes you feel like you are actually in Paris. Running down the streets. Entering into areas that are less than safe. The descriptions are stunning. A true Kimberly Belle thriller.
Thank you #NetGalley, #KimberlyBelle, #HarlequinPublishing, #ParkRow, for this ARC. This is my own true thoughts about this book.
FIVE big stars. It's excellent. Grab it. Devour it.

Belle's latest book, "The Paris Widow," will be a thrilling bestseller! This heart-pounding novel is packed with suspense, danger, and jaw-dropping secrets. Belle skillfully captures the Parisian setting and its renowned landmarks, making me feel like I was strolling alongside the richly developed characters. Despite never being there, the author's descriptions conjured vivid images in my mind. Belle’s talented storytelling and captivating narrative style kept me completely engrossed. I couldn’t put it down!
The story presents the perspectives of Stella and Adam and unfolds through different timelines, offering readers deeper insights. Adam has a business trip to Europe, and Stella is tagging along. They plan to make this trip the adventure of a lifetime. They are visiting six countries in three incredible weeks - Amsterdam, Malta, Bilbao, the Amalfi Coast, Luxembourg, and Paris. Stella has been to these places before as a former flight attendant, but she is thrilled to be exploring them again with the love of her life.
The vacation takes a tragic turn when an explosion separates them. Adam is missing and may be dead. Tension escalates as Stella uncovers Adam's involvement in the illegal trade of rare and stolen antiquities. Stella is left to unravel the truth about her husband and their seemingly perfect life together. The unexpected twists and turns kept me guessing until the very end.
I want to thank the author and Park Row Books for the opportunity to read this captivating ARC provided via NetGalley. All opinions expressed are my own.

Need an entertaining, fast paced read?! Well, look no further because The Paris Widow is just that! It’s loaded with action and secrets, and it would make an excellent movie! The timing when things were revealed was perfect to keep you frantically turning pages!
I highly recommend going in blind because the beginning will hook you even more if you don’t know what’s coming! Once I started, my mind never stopped trying to figure it all out. Some of it was predictable, but it didn’t take away from the enjoyment at all. There were some bigger things at the end that surprised me, and I REALLY loved how it all wrapped up.
Stella stops at nothing to find out the truth about her husband (while on the run from danger). Who did she really marry?! I could not have done what she did. Along the way, we get a few snippets of Adam’s POV which only adds to the mystery of him.
I highly recommend this cat and mouse thriller!

Looking for a book to take to the beach? Or headed to Paris for a summer vacay? Then pick up The Paris Widow for an entertaining read!
The Paris Widow is about a jet-setting couple who is vacationing across Europe until sudden tragedy disrupts their lives entirely. The story is told from two POVs (although it mostly centers on the FMC's POV) and different timelines.
The book definitely starts off with a captivating prologue that makes you wonder what's about to unfold. But for the most part, this is more of a slow burn than I expected. For a good portion of the book, there is a lot of "What's happening?" without getting any substantial answers until the second half of the book, and then all the reveals just start barreling out like a stampede.
Had the pacing been a little quicker/more consistent, it would've been closer to 4 stars. But with that being said, I really did enjoy the story. I think it would make for a great movie, especially since it takes place in so many beautiful European cities.
Special thanks to NetGalley and Park Row for sharing this digital ARC with me in exchange for my honest thoughts.
The Paris Widow by Kimberly Belle is available now wherever books are sold.

Wow! I know when I start a Kimberly Belle book that it's going to be intense. This one blew me away. What a fast-paced read with twists and turns all over the place. Don't believe anything you see, hear, or experience. What the heck!
Stella and Adam are having a wonderful vacation in beautiful Paris when everything goes wrong. An explosion just as Adam goes back to the restaurant to retrieve his sunglasses ends in tragedy. And then Stella is told to 'trust no one'. She doesn't know which way to turn but she isn't leaving until she has word about her husband.
This is going to be another hit by Ms. Belle and I'm warning you, don't start it until you can devote some time to it because you are not going to be able to stop reading. I highly recommend The Paris Widow!

The Paris Widow, by Kimberly Belle, is a quick, compelling, interesting mystery about the underbelly of the art world, stolen artifacts and second chances.
Stella has left her old life behind and has finally, gratefully found a normal guy in her sweet, clever, methodical antiquities dealer husband, Adam. When he goes missing after an explosion at the Parisian cafe they just vacated, Stella is in shock and too many details aren’t adding up.
As Stella searches for Adam and the answers surrounding the increasingly mysterious circumstances she finds herself in, Stella vows to not leave Paris without Adam, no matter what. In the days that follow, her life is imminent danger, but she is fearless in finding out answers. And the more she finds out, the more questions arise.
This story is relatively short, but immensely engaging and entertaining. There are not only layers of intrigue, betrayal, scheming, lies and tension, but also a more in-depth look at human motivations, the complexities of love, and ultimately second chances at life’s trajectory and the choices we make. This is a perfect read for poolside, or as a gripping, fast-paced palette cleanser.

I’m not sure this one is accurately pitched as a thriller. Mystery? Yes. That being said, it was certainly a different spin on the standard secret keeping, possible unreliable narrator, putting pieces together.
I appreciate that the story started right away. No long build up to get to the pivotal moment. However, this also made connecting with the main character more difficult. We hear everything through her voice and thoughts but there’s not much character building until the story evolves and we learn more about her own past. There are a few characters that seem just tossed in with little purpose-like the mother.
It was a quick, decent read but I won’t be raving about and recommending this one.

The Paris Widow was a fun combination of a domestic suspense novel (a wife who realizes she might not know her husband as well as she thinks) with an international thriller involving high stakes and a high body count.
While there were aspects of the story that weren't the most believable (as is often the case when there are civilian characters in an international thriller) if you can suspend your disbelief a little bit, this is a fun page turner that is perfect for summer reading!
