Another wonderful thriller/mystery from Kimberly Belle. She is one of my favorite authors. I always want to read her new books. I know I won't be disappointed. This just might be the best one yet.

Set in mainly Paris, with a few look backs at places Stella and Adam have gone, you get a good look at this couple's lives. The love they share and the things going on that each does not know about. Yes they adore each other. They are deeply in love. But they also have secrets.

Stella and Adam just finished eating at a restaurant that Stella assured Adam he would love. And he did. They are headed back to their hotel to grab their luggage as it's almost time for them to catch their flight home. Adam realizes that he forgot his sunglasses at the restaurant and wants to go retrieve them. Stella says she will buy him another pair. An even better pair, but Adam wants those. They are special to him. As Stella makes her way to their hotel an explosion occurs. It happened at or close to where Adam was going....

After the explosion Stella can't find Adam. He's not answering his phone. She starts to panic.
What happened? Where is Adam? Did he get blown up? Is he a victim? Or is her the culprit? Stella doesn't trust anyone. She is determined to find Adam. Even if it's his body.

What happens next is lots of thrills for Stella. Not being able to trust anyone and not knowing what is actually going on, she starts looking into things. Into Adam's work. His business associates. Anything that will give her a clue. She's heard too much from the detective and someone from the American Embassy. She is not sure what exactly is going on but she refuses to leave Paris without Adam.

This book takes you to a few other places and shows you things that Adam did in the past and also things that Stella has done. You meet several people who may or may not be telling the truth. Stella does not know what to believe. Until she gets a phone call. Her life is going to change in ways she never saw coming.

This is a must read. Well written and based on actual events as to the theft of historical artifacts. The ways in which they were stolen and what was stolen. This author makes you feel like you are actually in Paris. Running down the streets. Entering into areas that are less than safe. The descriptions are stunning. A true Kimberly Belle thriller.

Need an entertaining, fast paced read?! Well, look no further because The Paris Widow is just that! It’s loaded with action and secrets, and it would make an excellent movie! The timing when things were revealed was perfect to keep you frantically turning pages!

I highly recommend going in blind because the beginning will hook you even more if you don’t know what’s coming! Once I started, my mind never stopped trying to figure it all out. Some of it was predictable, but it didn’t take away from the enjoyment at all. There were some bigger things at the end that surprised me, and I REALLY loved how it all wrapped up.

Stella stops at nothing to find out the truth about her husband (while on the run from danger). Who did she really marry?! I could not have done what she did. Along the way, we get a few snippets of Adam’s POV which only adds to the mystery of him.

I highly recommend this cat and mouse thriller!

The Paris Widow is about a jet-setting couple who is vacationing across Europe until sudden tragedy disrupts their lives entirely. The story is told from two POVs (although it mostly centers on the FMC's POV) and different timelines.

The book definitely starts off with a captivating prologue that makes you wonder what's about to unfold. But for the most part, this is more of a slow burn than I expected. For a good portion of the book, there is a lot of "What's happening?" without getting any substantial answers until the second half of the book, and then all the reveals just start barreling out like a stampede.

Had the pacing been a little quicker/more consistent, it would've been closer to 4 stars. But with that being said, I really did enjoy the story. I think it would make for a great movie, especially since it takes place in so many beautiful European cities.

Wow! I know when I start a Kimberly Belle book that it's going to be intense. This one blew me away. What a fast-paced read with twists and turns all over the place. Don't believe anything you see, hear, or experience. What the heck!

Stella and Adam are having a wonderful vacation in beautiful Paris when everything goes wrong. An explosion just as Adam goes back to the restaurant to retrieve his sunglasses ends in tragedy. And then Stella is told to 'trust no one'. She doesn't know which way to turn but she isn't leaving until she has word about her husband.

This is going to be another hit by Ms. Belle and I'm warning you, don't start it until you can devote some time to it because you are not going to be able to stop reading. I highly recommend The Paris Widow!

The Paris Widow, by Kimberly Belle, is a quick, compelling, interesting mystery about the underbelly of the art world, stolen artifacts and second chances.

Stella has left her old life behind and has finally, gratefully found a normal guy in her sweet, clever, methodical antiquities dealer husband, Adam. When he goes missing after an explosion at the Parisian cafe they just vacated, Stella is in shock and too many details aren’t adding up.
As Stella searches for Adam and the answers surrounding the increasingly mysterious circumstances she finds herself in, Stella vows to not leave Paris without Adam, no matter what. In the days that follow, her life is imminent danger, but she is fearless in finding out answers. And the more she finds out, the more questions arise.

This story is relatively short, but immensely engaging and entertaining. There are not only layers of intrigue, betrayal, scheming, lies and tension, but also a more in-depth look at human motivations, the complexities of love, and ultimately second chances at life’s trajectory and the choices we make. This is a perfect read for poolside, or as a gripping, fast-paced palette cleanser.

I’m not sure this one is accurately pitched as a thriller. Mystery? Yes. That being said, it was certainly a different spin on the standard secret keeping, possible unreliable narrator, putting pieces together.
I appreciate that the story started right away. No long build up to get to the pivotal moment. However, this also made connecting with the main character more difficult. We hear everything through her voice and thoughts but there’s not much character building until the story evolves and we learn more about her own past. There are a few characters that seem just tossed in with little purpose-like the mother.
It was a quick, decent read but I won’t be raving about and recommending this one.

The Paris Widow was a fun combination of a domestic suspense novel (a wife who realizes she might not know her husband as well as she thinks) with an international thriller involving high stakes and a high body count.

While there were aspects of the story that weren't the most believable (as is often the case when there are civilian characters in an international thriller) if you can suspend your disbelief a little bit, this is a fun page turner that is perfect for summer reading!

I have loved this authors other works. I think this one was rather good. I loved the writing style as well.

I didn’t get the thrill reading this book that I was hoping for. I kept feeling like I had read this all before. It was beautifully set and well written. It didn’t offer anything new.

Adam and Stella are on their dream vacation overseas, when Adam goes back to the restaurant they were just at to retrieve his forgotten sunglasses. Then an explosion rocks her world, and Adam is nowhere to be found. Stella is desperate to find him and soon becomes famous as the Paris Widow for her pleas to the public. Then she finds some clues in their hotel room that make her question how well she knows Adam. But also, what secrets is Stella keeping from him?

Kimberly Belle is a must-read author for me, and this book proves just why. From the opening explosion, this one just doesn't stop the action and suspense. Plus, the international setting added another layer to the book. It's a real cat and mouse game, as Stella chases down clues to Adam's disappearance and the secrets he's been keeping. Loved the author's note at the end to highlight the real life black market sale of precious art and antiques, making this book feel all the more real.

This was an entertaining read. The plot did become a bit over-the-top action packed for my preference, but I appreciated that the read was fast-paced. My biggest issue stems from how action-type "thrillers" never seem plausible to me; it just brings me out of the story. I acknowledge this is a me problem and I'll continue to pick up each new Belle book. I'm still chasing that DEAR WIFE high.

What a twisty ride! My jaw dropped several times when different twists were revealed, and I thoroughly enjoyed this read! 4 solid stars!!

Not a typical mystery for me but it was intriguing enough to keep my attention. Some parts felt slow, others felt rushed. But overall enjoyable.

Such a page turner! This book kept me engaged and on the edge of my seat. I’m also a sucker for anything set in Paris!

This book was soooo good!! This is one of the most unique storylines for a thriller/suspense I think I have read. The author also sprinkled just a little of a love story in that really kept you turning the pages to know what was going to happen. I LOVED Stella, she took absolutely no BS! I read this book in one day because I absolutely had to find out what was going to happen. I was so happy with the way this book ended and all questions answered. I love me a fast paced cat and mouse thriller, and this one did not disappoint! Stella was a super smart & strong female MC and surprisingly I did not roll my eyes at any of her actions like I sometimes find myself doing in books like this🙌🏼
The plot itself was super intriguing. Stella finds out her loving, “normal” husband of 4 years is involved in the illegal underworld trade of blood antiquities 🩸 🖼️ when he goes missing after an explosion in the city square 💣, so she starts digging deep to discover all the buried secrets that has him— and now her— in danger.. before it’s too late. But Stella also has some buried secrets of her own! 😱
& Can we please talk about the SETTING? I literally felt like I was on a sight-seeing tour of Paris. I could clearly visualize every landmark that was described. The international/European elements through out this novel were top tier 😍

I really enjoyed this! My one complaint would be that the ending felt a bit rushed and I was confused as to why a certain character did a certain thing. (No spoilers, guys!).

At least until an explosion completely blows up Stella’s life and erases everything she once thought to be true. Stella is heartbroken. Adam is missing and presumed dead; setting off a strange turn of events. Stella must come to terms with her own past as she questions everything she ever thought she knew about Adam, who she can trust or if people are who they say they are. As a former flight attendant, Stella is familiar with these streets, and has a few contacts of her own. Despite a few initial missteps, she eventually finds her footing, determined to right all that is wrong. Filled with plenty of suspense, mystery and intrigue, the twisty plot kept me turning the pages; until things made sense as I reached the end. Readers are fully immersed in the Paris experience with lots of visual descriptions and mentions of landmark and location.
