Kimberly Belle’s, THE PARIS WIDOW is an all-nighter book! I got the print copy because I was that thrilled with this thriller. With each new Kimberly Belle book I am noticing I am enjoying them more and more! I didn’t think anything would top DEAR WIFE, but this one does. I am always impressed! Huge fan!

The cliffnotes version: I just loved it!

I really enjoyed the writing and suspense in this one. Every few chapters you got Adam's POV from the days leading up to the explosion which I thought helped to give some depth to his character that we wouldn't have gotten if it was just Stella's POV; I also thought it helped the reader start to put things together more clearly.
And I loved the way this came together. I thought it was so believable for the story that was being told.
Overall I thought this was a great, captivating read.

Would I recommend it? A resounding YES for any thriller/suspense reader.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for a readers copy of this title. My reviews are freely given and never contain spoilers.
Stella’s husband has been killed in an explosion at a restaurant in Paris. His body hasn’t been recovered and his death remains unconfirmed. While waiting for verification of his demise, Stella begins to realize that maybe he is not dead at all. He is being accused of selling stolen artifacts on the black market, and was a wanted man. Someone wanted him dead and the police want him for interrogation.
The story has great characters and flows very nicely. A classic case of who can you trust, if anyone? Enjoy.

The Paris Widow is a delightful blend of mystery and Parisian allure. Set against the backdrop of the City of Light, the novel captivates with its rich atmosphere and intriguing plot twists. Belle masterfully weaves in references to Oscar Wilde, adding a layer of literary charm that enriches the narrative.I found myself immersed in the vivid descriptions of Paris, from its bustling streets to its hidden corners, which added depth to the storyline. The characters are compelling, each with their own secrets and motivations that kept me guessing until the very end.

The twists and turns throughout the book kept me eagerly turning the pages, never quite sure what would happen next.

Stella and Adam have been happily married for four years. Adam is an antique dealer who often travels the world to find architectural antiques for his restoration construction company. Stella used to be a air hostess and also loves travel, so decides to join Adam at the end of one of his buying trips to Europe so they can spend some time visiting their favourite places. On the last day of their three week magical and romantic vacation they are Paris, when it all goes wrong with an abrupt and terrifying halt.

They are on their way back to their hotel after lunch in a small charming restaurant, when Adam dashes back to get his sunglasses that he left on the table. Suddenly Stella hears an almighty explosion and races back to find Adam but he is nowhere to be seen. After searching and asking everyone at the scene if they saw him, she eventually returns to the hotel but, after he has failed to appear within a few days, she starts to fear that he is dead. When the police arrive to question her, they tell her things she didn’t know about Adam and she begins to wonder who this man is that she married and loves so much.

This is a terrific psychological thriller. Almost cinematic, it’s action packed, playing out like a high tension spy thriller filled with danger, betrayal, revenge and intrigue. Flashbacks to the past fill out the details of Stella’s and Adam’s former lives. While Adam has been hiding what he really does and is living a dangerous life, Stella is not squeaky clean either with a chequered past that she’s never told Adam about. She is however, a force to be reckoned with when it comes to finding out what happened to Adam, and not to be underestimated.

Told from the point of view of both Adam and Stella, it’s easy to like both of them and hope that all will end well for them, even as more of Adam’s shocking past becomes clear. The plot is fast paced with short, suspenseful chapters and razor-sharp twists and turns that keep the reader on the edge of their seat. It all makes for an enthralling cat and mouse game resulting in a terrific climax and an excellent page turner.

Many thanks to Netgalley for an arc of this book. I received this book in exchange for my honest review. My thoughts are entirely my own.

Stella and her husband are on a trip to Paris, a trip where Stella joined her husband Adam who is an antiques dealer who mostly works with furniture and things like that. Stella takes Adam to this cute restaurant with amazing galette’s. Adam forgets his sunglasses at the restaurant and Stella decides to go back to the hotel to get their luggage so that they don’t miss their flight and suddenly a bomb goes off at the restaurant they were just at. Stella starts calling Adam freaking out and can’t get ahold of him. A reporter talks to her and she starts talking to as many as she can to try and find Adam. She becomes the Paris Widow. The hotel they are staying at changes her room for her and puts her somewhere else no charge. She meets a man from the US embassy and Stella finds out that Adam is involved in blood antiques and is involved with dangerous people. Stella begins to find out more about Adam and realizes that he has been lying to her. Adam knew who Stella was before they met. Adam is pronounced dead after they find a body that matches his description. Adam then calls her on a burner phone that a random man gives her. Adam wants Stella to leave because he can’t protect her in Paris. Adam hide a SIM card in a necklace that he gave her with all the information of who he was dealing with and what each person wanted. Stella contacts her ex that got her arrested years earlier because of a priceless book and he helps her. Stella makes a copy of Adam’s SIM card for insurance and shows up at the house of the woman that hired Adam to get her a few things and Adam ends up shot. Adam recovers and an MI6 agent starts taking down the people on Adam’s list since he had been helping them all along after he met Stella and wanted to turn his life around. Adam and Stella decide to start a new life and change their appearances with the money Adam has in three separate accounts in Luxembourg.

I would have been on the first plane home! But Stella stays in Paris looking for answers. She believes her husband was killed randomly but if was just chance, then why does she feel like she is being followed? should she go home because she wants to needs to?
A classic who done it, including the trite usage of prized artifacts.
Why 3 stars and not 4? this style of fiction is entertaining and who doesn't love a thriller with a Parisan backdrop? But on some level, it has been done/written before.

Upon first glance, this book appeared to be a historical fiction novel, not my usual thriller! I'm not sure if it's the title or the graphics. Beyond that, that was about as historical as the novel gets.

Paris is a city of adventure and mystery. It's heavily populated and frequently traveled. It's the perfect place to honeymoon, or to hide. It's the perfect place to escape, or disappear. It also happens to house much of the world's history. I think that's what makes this setting ideallic for this novel.

However, secrets don't usually stay secrets forever. Not only are the main characters interesting, they each have their own past that has crafted the present. I loved reading as Stella learns and searches her way through this iconic city in search of Adam's truth. This is definitely a great book for any thriller enthusiast!

Kimberly Belle does it again! The Paris Widow is a fast paced thrill through the streets of Paris. Stella is a strong but sweet character who in the face of tragedy refuses to back down or give up. The story is told from both Stella and her husband Adam’s point of view which I really enjoyed.
Thank you to Kimberly Bell and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this wonderful ARC.

The Paris Widow read so quickly & kept me on my toes from start to finish. Having little to no background knowledge on the world of art history or the movement of cultural artifacts, I was hooked by Belle’s writing and the story unfolding. Highly recommend!

I love this author and was so excited to receive this book! It did not disappoint! I learned so much about the dark underworld of art and antiques. The author did a fantastic job of keeping me on my toes, giving me in-depth characters, and taking me on a wild ride all through Paris. I really enjoyed this book and I look forward to reading more from this author. Thank you for the ARC.

An intriguing premise that doesn't quite pay off. There were so many basic errors about how the Embassy deals with American citizens, I found the book frustrating to read. (I was an expat in Paris). The characters felt cardboard. There is very little to the novel's central relationship beyond Adam constantly telling Stella how gorgeous she is. Stella is supposedly well-traveled, yet she seems like a naive, inexperienced traveler who has only a tourist's understanding of Paris and Europe. The Paris setting hews mostly to the well-worn tourist paths. I loved the premise of the book, and was excited to find a novel set in Paris that isn't the same old historical fiction about female resistance during WW2. But the story ultimately fell flat.

Buckle up for a hair-raising rollercoaster ride with the latest thriller by Kimberly Belle – The Paris Widow.

After the acrimonious end of her last relationship, Stella couldn’t believe her luck when she met Adam. Unlike her ex, Adam was a decent and ordinary guy and she couldn’t help falling head over heels in love with him. Stella couldn’t wait to spend the rest of her life with Adam – until there is an explosion in the city and he disappears off the face of the earth. What happened to him? Is he dead or alive? And how well does Stella know Adam?

Panic-stricken and out of her mind with worry, Stella goes to the police, but what they tell her shocks her to her very core: Adam has been on their radar for years as he is a known dealer of rare and stolen antiquities with a very shady client list. Although Stella cannot believe what she is hearing, she vows not to leave Paris until she untangles this mystery. With someone following her through the Parisian streets, is Stella ready to discover who Adam really is? Will she ever see him again? Or is she way out of her depth with this quest for the truth?

A propulsive chiller with one jaw-dropping twist after another, Kimberly Belle’s The Paris Widow is not for the faint-hearted. A fast-paced, ingeniously plotted and nail-biting domestic noir thriller that will leave readers breathless, The Paris Widow is a heart-stopping thriller from Kimberly Belle that is impossible to put down.

A dream trip to Europe for Stella and her husband Adam has turned into a nightmare when a Paris cafe is blown apart and Adam is missing. Stella, a caterer in Atlanta, and Adam, a restorer of architectural treasures and antiques, had planned a summer trip to Europe that was both business and pleasure. Adam, visiting clients and colleagues, has Stella join him later in the trip and the two enjoy sight-seeing throughout Luxembourg, Italy and Paris. It's clear that Stella has seen these sights multiple times before as has Adam. Only married a few years, both seem to be happy to keep some things in the past and not ask each other too many questions. After they return to Paris to wrap up the trip their idyllic world is destroyed. The bombing not only took out a cafe but a block in Paris and soon the investigation turns towards Adam. Stella refuses to accept that Adam is involved until she uncovers more evidence and she has to face the truth that the man she loves may be involved with the dangerous underworld of stolen antiques and artifacts. Refusing to leave Paris until she has answers, Stella begins a very dangerous game and while warned not to trust anyone she doggedly investigates not only the bombing but Adam's past as the media refers to her as The Paris Widow. Kimberly Belle's latest novel is a fast-paced psychological mystery that readers will have a hard time putting down. Great summer thriller!

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest feedback.

Secrets, scandals, lies....who can Stella trust? She is even questioning her husband, who just days before was the love of her life, the most important person in her world. Where can she turn? Will she find safety or end up dead like everyone she's been talking to over the last few days?

This was a good book following Stella and her husband Adam on their vacation in Paris. Things seem glorious until her husband became missing after a bomb went off where he was expected to be. After that, Stella is on a wild ride trying to get answers. Has her whole life been a lie?

Thank you NetGalley and Park Row for an advanced copy of this fun to read book. I look forward to more from this author.

Stella and Adam are married, very much in love, when a bombing while they are overseas throws a monkey wrench in their seemingly perfect life.

The author always has a way in her novels, of setting a wonderful scene where you are invested in its entirety, then blam, she rips the perverbial rug out from under you. I was intrigued by Stella and her past, I thought she was well developed and a good contrast to Adam.

Instantly thrilling and intense the whole way through! Ended with the bow we all needed. I would highly recommend.

Secrets, lies, deception, action and more! This is one I couldn't put down. It was addictive and exciting all the way through. The setting of Europe (mostly Paris) brought intrigued and was so well done. The antiquities field was also fascinating. This one was suspenseful and tense and I had to keep turning the pages to see how it was going to end. An excellent read!

The Last Thing He Told Me meets Jason Bourne!

The Paris Widow had me turning pages from the get-go! It’s an action packed story of an Adam and Stella, traveling through Europe, when a bomb goes off, and Stella’s entire world is turned upside down.

When French police tell her that her husband was the target of the attack, Stella can’t believe it, and doesn’t know who to turn to and where to go.

The story is DEEP, and very well developed. I honestly had no idea where it was going and loved every minute of it!

After receiving a copy on Netgalley and Harlequin Books, I decided I needed to read it quickly, since it would expire on June 25.

This is my first Kimberly Belle novel, and a very fast-paced thriller. A family vacation turns into an international intrigue story of smuggling of blood antiquities.

Great read!

3.5 the international settings of the wealthy enhance this novel about the antiquities trade and the different players. Stella is married to Adam and during a trip to Paris, the unthinkable happens causing a chain of events that make her question her husband and marriage. With her own questionable past, she relies on some old friends and vows to find the truth. Intriguing with interesting information about artifacts and black market where items that should be in a museum and studied are coveted by the ridiculously rich.
