This romance novel swept me away with its heartfelt emotions and captivating chemistry between the characters. The author skillfully weaves a compelling story filled with tender moments, heartfelt conflicts, and satisfying resolutions. The pacing kept me engaged from start to finish, and the characters felt authentic and relatable. Whether you’re a fan of slow-burn love or a passionate whirlwind, this book delivers the perfect blend of romance, drama, and warmth. Highly recommended for anyone looking to escape into a beautifully told love story.

I am in my cowboy romance era and I'm not mad about it. I have read all of the Rebel Blue Ranch books and unfortunately, this one was my least favorite of the series. That's not to say that I didn't like it, it just didn't pack the same emotional punch as the other three did. I wasn't able to get invested in the characters or the story line as much. Maybe if I wasn't comparing it to the perfection of Done and Dusted or Lost and Lassoed I would have given it a higher rating, but it didn't measure up in my opinion. It is still a must read for the cowboy romance lovers though!!

I didn't think I would like this book more than Done & Dusted...but I did. Absolutely obsessed with Ada and Wes. Loved the plot, tropes, and execution of this book. I don't think there was a single point where I found myself disliking something or feeling bored. This was every bit the small-town cowboy romance I was looking for. This is a perfect book for readers that enjoyed the Chestnut Springs series.
Thank you to NetGalley and Random House for the ARC!

I love Lyla Sage. Book one was so good and book two was so good too. So far my favorite of the books I’ve read is still number one but I enjoyed this one too. Ada was such a fun character to read about. I loved her and Ryder together. I think I’m finding a new favorite romance genre.

‘Swift and Saddled’ took me a bit longer to get into than ‘Done and Dusted’. The beginning definitely had a lot of moments that I visibly cringed at or audibly groaned (the cow scene when Ada first arrives at the ranch). But once I got past the worst of those scenes, I found myself back immersed in the story.
I adore Weston. An absolute giant puppy dog of a man. Genuinely, Wes is such a well rounded character and the talk of his depression is handled so well.
And I love all that Ada is, for herself and for him. Seeing her growth in particular was my favorite part of the story. While I wish we had gotten a bit more story depth for her ex-husband and that mess, it gave enough to her character for us to truly understand who she was at her core: just a girl trying to survive.

Ada and Wes are everything. I adored them both individually and even more as a couple, the way they complement each other is just perfect. Total black cat and golden retriever energy. Their love story is woven beautifully into Ada’s journey of starting over, adding real depth and vulnerability. Wes’s unwavering patience and unconditional love create a safe space for Ada to grow, trust, and begin to believe in herself. I thought their connection was truly beautiful. I also really appreciated that Wes’s depression isn’t treated as a plot device or something he has to "fix" for it to be valid, it’s simply a part of who he is. I loved how open he is with Ada about it, and I truly admire the thoughtful way Lyla chose to portray it.

Swift and Saddled was such a fun and flirty read! Lyla Sage does a great job of blending small-town charm, family drama, and sizzling chemistry into a feel-good cowboy romance. The characters were easy to root for—especially the main couple, whose banter and emotional push-pull kept me hooked from start to finish.
The setting was vivid, and I loved how the town itself almost felt like a character. The romance was slow-burn with just the right amount of spice, and there were some surprisingly heartfelt moments that gave the story depth.
I took off one star only because a few parts felt a little predictable, but honestly, sometimes that’s exactly what I want in a comfort read. If you’re into cowboys, stubborn leads with chemistry for days, and a HEA that leaves you smiling, this one’s worth saddling up for!

I loved the big city girl and small town cowboy vibe in this book! I enjoyed watching the FMC find herself in this book and learn to open the walls around her heart!

The story is fast-paced and left me completely satisfied yet wishing there was more for me to binge read. The connection between Wes and Ada was palpable, I loved how they were obviously enamored with each other from the very beginning but there was still so much tension and pining. The two were so soft and healthy for each other, Wes was so patient and understanding of Ada's troubles; the man was an absolute gentleman. I cannot wait for the next installment of this heartwarming series!

I really loved this story. It's sweet and definitely spicy. The characters are well developed and I love how she touched on depression and in a MMC, it's refreshing. I loved this series. 5/5!

I absolutely loved this book!!! I was so hesitant to start down the road of cowboy books, because well cowboys right? But omg I absolutely looooooved this book and everything about it!!! The characters were so well developed and relatable!

I loved this one so much! I love the small town vibes. The family dynamic is fun to read. The couple had so much chemistry and the spice was very good.

Can not quite but I’m to words how much I loved this. You have two people who are desperate for people to show up for them and they do that for each other so perfectly. So many swoon worthy moments that had me kicking me feet!

*swoon* This was such a feel-good romance that I am in absolute love with! I know I'm reading the series out of order, but now I can't wait to get my hands on the first one.
This book stayed on my mind constantly, it was a can't eat, can't sleep feeling! I just had to keep reading!
With lots of character development, this felt like a perfect pairing of two individuals who absolutely lifted each other up. There was tense romance and testing new waters, forced proximity, and client-business woman tropes. Such a great feeling all around!
Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Publishing for my ebook!

Swift and Saddled by Lyla Sage is a charming and witty romance that combines small-town charm with a delightful enemies-to-lovers twist. The story’s vibrant characters and fast-paced banter make it an engaging read from start to finish. Sage’s ability to capture the nuances of rural life adds authenticity and warmth to the narrative, grounding the romance in a vividly realized setting. The chemistry between the protagonists crackles with tension and humor, making their journey so exciting.

“You're the moon and I’m the tides. You pull me in without even trying, and I come to you willingly. I always will.”
TDR: Let me suggest my favorite book by Lyla Sage and my favorite cowboy romance to date.
I am officially in my cowboy romance era. Wow, just wow. I liked Done and Dusted a lot, but Swift and Saddled has my heart. I love it so much. I want to move to Meadowlark, join Ada’s girls night, and find a cowboy of my own. Don’t tell my tech bro husband. (IYKYK) 🤭
I love how Lyla wrote Ada and Weston’s love story. It felt so raw and real. It was more relatable than I expected. Ada’s struggle and journey to belong really pressed on a tender spot in my heart, one that I didn’t know was still there. Her ‘not like other girls attitude really was as if she was in my head. That she was saying and thinking things of my past and maybe even my present. It wasn’t hard for me to fall in love with Ada and want nothing but love, happiness, and true belonging for her.
As for Weston, I don’t even know where to begin with this gem of a MMC. Top tier book boyfriend material. He exudes all the sexiness and swagger you expect from a rugged cowboy but all the tenderness that has you in the puddle. Phew.
If you’ve read Book 1 you’ll be happy to know there is even more of the Ryder family in this book. There is something really special about them and I love that we keep getting to visit the ranch and peek into their lives and fall more in love with them. Go ahead and sign me up, I’ll bring a casserole for the next Ryder Day.
Tropes + things
city girl x country boy
black cat x golden retriever
mental health rep
found family
dual POV/1st person
This book can be read as a standalone but would recommend reading Done & Dusted first.

Cowboys are all about adventure, and this story continues with a charming city girl who unexpectedly falls for a farmer cowboy. Sometimes, love surprises us when we least expect it!

Swift and Saddled by Lyla Sage is a fun, fiery romance between a city girl determined to stand on her own and a cowboy who’s not afraid to chase what he wants. If you like a romance with a bit of heat, strong characters, and a great setting, Swift and Saddled is a solid pick. It’s the perfect blend of passion, personal growth, and a love that feels like it could weather anything.

this series continues to be good and strong and steamy and I love all the characters and the core family. Looking forward to the next one

This is the third installment in this cowboy-ish series by Lyla Sage. While I have enjoyed the first two books in this series, she kind of lost me with this one. It was bad, just super repetitive. Three stars, on a generous scale.
