My main issues with this book were the information dump at the beginning and the author's writing style. While trying to figure out which character was which, I was distracted by the descriptions (such as "bearing a striking resemblance to the actor who played Ned in Spider-Man-Homecoming") and the detailed sections explaining how a picture is sent from a cell phone. As a movie this would probably have been better, but in my opinion a lot of that could have been edited or taken out completely.

Out For Blood is the third book in the Matthew Redd series, and once again the action is furious and the body count is high as Redd defends himself and his family against a rogue government hit team. The book is a continuation of the story arc involving a shadow government group called The Twelve, but it can be read as a standalone as the author provides enough information from prior books to get the reader up to speed. The character of Matthew Redd is clearly an homage to Vince Flynn’s Mitch Rapp ( the names are too close to be a coincidence), and author Ryan Steck does justice to the character, as Redd is a force to be reckoned with throughout the series, but especially in this book. The book starts with a bang (literally) and doesn’t let up, as the reader is expertly transport to the Montana mountains in blizzard conditions as Redd faces off against multiple enemies. The battle scenes can be a little drawn out, and the interaction with Redd and his wife can be a little sappy, but overall this is another entertaining book in the series, and I look friars to the next installment. I received an ARC of this book from the publisher through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This book is part of a series, but the author does a great job of bring you up to date, you won't be lost!

If you enjoy a read with lots of action, this one will have you holding your breath, there is a lot of danger built in here!

While this is a fictional read, I almost felt we were reading facts, sadly, yes! There are powerful people here, ones that you wouldn't suspect, and they are soon being eliminated.

The author gives us some rogue government agents, and their goal is to take out one man, we are there as these highly trained agents go out into a blizzard in Montana to chase him. Will this finally end? Keep reading!

Now I'm looking forward to the next book in this series!

I received this book through Net Galley and the Publisher Tyndale House, and was not required to give a positive review.

Until Out for Blood, I was not sure our beloved reviewer was going to make it as an outstanding author. The first two books are good reads but a bit formulaic and often too reminiscent of other works in the genre. Out for Blood, however, marks Steck's graduation into the top tier of thriller writers. It is utterly unique with engaging, empathetic, developed characters and an engrossing plot. You will want to read the first two books to establish context but do not give up until you get to Out for Blood and then hold on to your hat.

Another great story from Ryan Steck. Ryan is known as The Original Book Spy and is a great resource in the thriller book world. I have read all of the Matthew Redd books that he has written and each one is better than the last. I'm excited to see that there are more books planned to tell more of Matt and Emily's stories. This is best read as number 3 in the series, and would probably be confusing if read as a stand alone. Hats off to Ryan Steck for his author success with these books!

My first book by Ryan Steck, but it won’t be my last! Out for Blood was an excellent thriller, action-packed, edge of your seat page-turner! Can one guy stave off all those coming after him? Sure had me rooting for the good guys and his family! The book was clean of bad language which I certainly appreciate. Lots of shoot-outs and danger, but I really enjoyed the book! Very interesting plot. I appreciate the opportunity to read this book on NetGalley, but my review is my true opinion.

Book #3 in the Matthew Redd series. Ryan Steck continues this character driven, action packed thriller series as Matt works hard to conduct his family life in a manner to make his foster father proud. A Marine Raptor at heart, this story finds him planning to kickstart his life after the major conflicts in Lethal Range, book #2 in the series. Matt & Em have finally cleared the debts left when he inherited the ranch and are planning the rebuild of their home.

During one of the worst winter storms in the history of Montana, Matt receives an SOS from his father. He will respond in the only way he knows how, bringing the good fight to those who would attack the world's population, destroying mollions of people in the name of rescuing the planet. The Twelve will stop at nothing in their quest. Matt has twice interferred with their plans and they have sent killers to stop him. This time they will meet on the plains with few resources available to either side. The story builds tension as readers hold their breath to see what will happen.

Just an FYI for those to whom it matters. This series is rated as Christian. It's get a PG rating for violence but there's no cursing.

It's like a mini war going on in this book! Lots of action. Also has some good character and relationship development. Unfortunately, still some cussing going on in this book, though not a whole lot of it. Thankfully, there's a good ending to the story!
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the advance e-copy of this book. All opinions expressed are entirely my own.

Matthew Redd is back and trying to rebuild his home. Out for Blood by Ryan Steck is the third book and in this one some things will be resolved and some things will not. This book is a page turner with some nailbiting involved, winter can be a lovely time of year, unless there are some bad guys gunning for you. If so it would be great to be able to rely on family. Can Matthew do this? Or is he too stubborn to ask for help? Well you have to wait until June to find out. But I bet you won't be disappointed. Thanks to Tyndale House and Netgalley for letting me read this advance copy.

OUT FOR BLOOD by RYAN STECK is the third thriller in which we follow Matthew Redd, the former marine raider, in his fight to keep his family safe from the bad guys. Although the novel can be read as a stand alone I am glad I have read all three as we come across characters we have met before, together with some new ones. I am looking forward to the fourth book in the series.
The story takes place in Montana during a deadly snow storm. Matt sets off on his trusty horse, Remington closely followed by his Rottie, Rubble, to escape the members of “The Praetorian’s” Dagger and Arrow teams who are out for his blood, and to draw them away from his family and friends…..
I really enjoy this author’s well written and fast paced thrillers, with their underlying Christian message and I like the way he makes us feel the characters’ emotions…
I highly recommend Out For Blood to anyone who enjoys a good thriller, which also gives one much food for thought.
I was given an ARC of the book by NetGalley from Tyndale House Publishers. The opinions in this review are completely my own.
