I really like a lot of the components of this. It is very thorough and seems to have a place for everything. Makes it mush easier to keep track of my net galley books and reviews. The only thing that I don't love is the color scheme, but that is a personal thing. I haven't tried editing to see if I can change the colors, but if that was possible in Adobe or even canva that would make a world of difference.

What an amazing idea!

I've always wanted to start doing a book journal - but the starting up would cost and the time and effort to set everything up...and keep up with it, I'd just feel guilty about that time.

However, with this - it's just perfect! - all set up and ready to go.
Being online it's much easier to transfer pictures etc over and type up everything!

I'd never seen a digital journal before and cannot wait to see how it looke at the end of the year!

It’s a good concept but I don’t find it intuitive to use or even useful to the way I specifically track books or reviews. I don’t understand stickers either and there isn’t a resource to help. It seems like an unnecessarily steep learning curve.

This was extremely practically and helpful! While I still prefer journaling about my reading on paper since I don't have a tablet or device that would make some of the features of this journal more applicable, it was helpful to look at examples of possible spreads for reviews and reading challenges that I could apply not just to the books I receive via NetGalley, but in general.

For about a year now, I kept seeing people posting pictures of their reading journals online in various groups. They would have all these stickers and pictures in them. They were always so cute.

NetGalley has made a reading journal for all the people who do reviews of their books. Inside there are pages for all the books in your to be read (or listened to) pile, pages to keep track of your reviews, pages to keep track of challenges that you are taking part in. They even provided stickers that you can use.

The only thing that I don't like is that I don't find it very easy to use. They could have made it so easy since it is a PDF. When creating PDFs, you can make them where they have fields that are easy to fill-in. Instead, when you want to fill in the field, you have to edit the file and create a text field yourself to fill in the area. You have to do that for each and every area. To me, that is very tedious.

One good thing is that NetGalley did say that they were going to take all the feedback from the reviewers and use it to tweak the journal for next year.
