Thank you NetGalley for this review copy. This was a really great read and I really loved the character building. This was a cute Beauty and the Beast retelling.

This book is an absolute must to read it’s a story of modern day beauty and the beast telling the story of bookshop owner Marnie and her neighbour the rose grower darcy it is a book once you pick up you don’t want to put down at all

Jaimie Admans has once again woven a charming and uplifting tale with An Enchanted Moment on Ever After Street. This book is like stepping into a modern-day fairytale - full of warmth, whimsy, and a touch of magic.

The story follows Marnie Platt, a grieving bookshop owner struggling to keep her beloved store afloat, and Darcy O’Connell, her brooding yet kind-hearted neighbour. Their reluctant friendship, built over quiet evenings in an enchanted garden, slowly blossoms into something deeper, creating a romance that feels both heartfelt and beautifully paced.

Admans has a gift for crafting settings that feel like characters in themselves. Ever After Street is the kind of place you wish existed in real life, filled with quirky, lovable residents and a sense of community that radiates from the pages. The bookshop and its overgrown garden add an extra layer of charm, making this a cosy and immersive read.

Marnie is a relatable protagonist, navigating grief and self-doubt while rediscovering her passion. Darcy, with his hidden pain and guarded nature, is the perfect contrast—his character arc is satisfying as he learns to open up. The slow-burn romance is tender and genuine, though at times, the misunderstandings between them feel a bit drawn out.

While the story is predictable in places, the enchanting atmosphere and emotional depth make up for it. Admans' signature humour and heartfelt moments shine through, making this book a delightful escape.

If you love bookshops, small-town charm, and sweet, feel-good romances, An Enchanted Moment on Ever After Street is a must-read. I’m already looking forward to the next instalment in this enchanting new series!

Much like the other books in the series, nothing too exciting but is still a lovely cozyish read. I thoroughly enjoyed this.

Marnie is definitely a piece of me. And when you recognise your own traits in a main character, you can’t help but warm to the story. Coupled with the fact that this centres around a bookshop then, without doubt, I knew this book would be a winner from Admans.

This is the second book in the Ever After Street series and you can certainly read this as a stand-alone. I like how characters from the previous story make an appearance, although I was yearning to see more from the established relationship from book one… hopefully they will feature in later instalments. Nonetheless, you can’t avoid the charm and magic of Ever After Street and this time readers are spoiled with a re-telling of Beauty and the Beast.

Marnie’s struggling bookshop is on the verge of being evicted. Her strange neighbour, whom no one has seen, becomes an unlikely ally with helping save her shop. Over time, friendship forms between the lonely bookworm and a man who people refer to as “Beast”. This is because this strange person never reveals his face and seems to enjoy keeping his distance from others – to the point that all conversations with Marnie either take place through a very thick hedge, or with this neighbour tightly wrapped up and revealing nothing.

This doesn’t deter Marnie and a beautiful friendship forms, as lovely as the roses in the next door garden. I loved the parallels established between the well-known fairy tale, even down to Marnie’s old boyfriend. Furthermore, the fact that Marnie is such a booklover made her even more endearing and I was really rooting for her to succeed in contacting the mysterious author of a book that she loves with a passion.

The story comes full circle with final events taking place in the main castle – just like the fairy tale and very similar to the first book. Similarly, I liked how the key male protagonist is not a glossy, shiny perfection of manhood: in both stories, Adman presents less-than-perfect men who have their own vulnerabilities. This makes them even more appealing in terms of characters and also empowers the female protagonists, especially as they are also initially presented as quite lost in life as well.

A lovely tale, I was so sad when I reached the end. I certainly cannot wait for the next book and know that I will be diving in to it very soon. This is a story that will delight romance readers, book lovers and those who just want to indulge in some childhood magic that gets a bit lost in adulthood.

With thanks to Boldwood books and NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Rating: 4 stars ⭐️

Series: The Ever After Street

Tropes:
grumpy x sunshine ☀️
found family 💛
closed door 🌹
small town 🏘️
slow burn 🔥

This was an amazing feel-good women’s fiction that I would highly recommend if you want a cozy read.

I’m personally adding the rest of this series to my TBR to read more about the venders on this beautiful street. 💛

I never read a Disney inspired adaptation before and loved the Belle and the Beast elements throughout the story, it made it magical. ✨

This novel follows Marnie Platt as she embarks on her dream of opening a bookstore, a lifelong aspiration she shares with her mother.

The found family trope is particularly well-executed, giving readers a sense of warmth with which they can relate.

Thank you to Netgalley, Jamie Admans and the publisher for providing me with this copy. All opinions are my own.

A magical story that will make you believe in fairytales all over again. I love the way in which Jaimie Admans brings the story to life in your mind, and the way her storytelling leaves you unable to put the book down.

I think that this is going to be my favourite read of this year. I adored every 'enchanted moment'! I was totally lost in the magical fairy tale experience and Ever After Street is one of my favourite series every. Jaimie has a talent for drawing such interesting characters, in a wonderful setting and situations where you are wishing for a happy ever after for everyone. i love the way that previous characters and story lines combine, but you could read this book on its own and be totally enthralled with its magic.

Love the author and have been enjoying her books and stories as they are uplifting, charming and easy to read. This is a brand new series (of which this is book two) and if the series continues to be as good as these first two books I won't complain. Loved it. I love Ever After Street, love the characters and Marnie especially. She is much like someone you might know, going through the ups and downs of life, looking for a bit of happiness.

This story is charming and heart-warming, has depth and is by no means boring or predictable. It made me smile but it wasn't a mushy romance, there is a story to tell and the author told it well. Loved it and look forward to seeing what comes next.

Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood Books for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

I loved the first book in this series and couldn't wait to move on to the second which didn't disappoint. Absolutely loved this twist on the Beauty and the Beast fairytale and was really intrigued as to what 'the beast'' was hiding. Gorgeously romantic and poignant. Can't wait to read the next one

The first book in this series was interesting, but I spent a chunk of the time reading it thinking of Disney and copyright issues of things like that happened in real life. This second one felt deeper than the previous work.

I liked the author's use of Cinderella in the previous work. The Beauty and the Beast connection is well done in this one. Both the characters carry their own traumas, and that in return also means they hide away a part ( or in this case, whole) of themselves from the world.

Our bookseller has had trouble finding the spark that existed when her mother was alive. Finding out that the bookshop might need to vacate the premises if things didn't change means a lot of thinking ( and tears). There aren't many unexpected surprises for the readers, although the people in the book are surprised.

For a happily-ever-after plot set in a very filmy fairytale based location, the book touches on some deep-rooted emotional issues and how time and good company can help, if not cure.

I highly recommend this series for fans of the genre.
I received an ARC thanks to NetGalley and the publishers but the review is entirely based on my own reading experience.

Whenever I realise that this author has a new book out, I automatically grab it because I have enjoyed every single book she has written, and this one was no exception :)

Marnie is still grieving her mum's death and as a result, everything in her life, including her shop, is suffering from neglect. As someone who has recently lost a parent as well, I understand how this can happen.

I love that Marnie starts to build a friendship with Darcy, very slowly, because Darcy has his own issues that he is dealing with. Both of their lives are transformed by their friendship and it is so romantic, I could just cry!

One of the things that I really enjoy about Jaimie Admans' stories is that they are all about a meeting of hearts and minds and getting to know each other in a deep and meaningful way. This is rare, these days, and I, for one, hope that never changes.

Anyway, beautiful story, as always.

5 stars from me.

Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books.

This book is like book worm heaven, it’s mainly set at A Tale as old as Time bookshop but you do also get other snippets of ever after street as well as this is the second in the series. Despite this you don’t have to have read book 1 first as they have different main characters, but there would be a spoiler of how book 1 ends if you were to read this first…

I buddy read this with a friend and we both guessed the big reveal quite early on but this didn’t take anything away from the story and we both absolutely loved it!

There were a few little innuendos throughout the story which had me chuckling along but there were also some emotional moments where you just wanted to reach in and give the guys a hug! Especially a scene near the end of the book but I won’t give anything away..

I enjoyed book 1 in the series but this one was even better for me and I loved all of the book references throughout, agreeing with Marnie’s recommendations. U.N.Known’s book sounded incredible to - if only this was a real book!

I’m now really excited to read book 3 which is Cleo’s story as she makes a few appearances in this book and I’m intrigued to know more about her!

A really good book, where heartbreak and loneliness can get fixed with the help of your friends. Even if they are new friends you have been pushing away with the best of intentions. I enjoyed finishing this and all the authors books have been really enjoyable
