Thank you NetGalley for the chance to read and review this.

Unfortunately, this collection wasn't for me. I just found it dull

I've been in a real poetry mood lately, and this successfully scratched my poetry itch. I think the title is so interesting and really drew me in, and the poems lived up to the unusual title.

I had a hard time because the formatting of the ARC was a mess. I think it affected my enjoyment and appreciation; I know poetry doesn’t have to have a solid structure but I feel like I missed out on a true experience.

This is the first of Asiya Wadud's poetry I've read, as an ARC. Thank you for that, NetGalley. I was first drawn to this book based on its title. Mandible Wishbone Solvent. It spoke to me about spewing words forth in a way that would wash emotions clean. The poetry is fragmented in style and while it was wonderful in most places, there were parts that got tangled in a way that I couldn't immerse myself into. Overall, it is a book I would recommend to others looking for intense and relatable poetry.

The name is what hooked me on this book but the style was what kept me focused in. Thank you netgalley for the arc. Really enjoyed the author

I thoroughly enjoyed this collection! I was drawn in by the title of the work and found myself really blown away by the first two sections of poems. In particular I adored “poised in hover hours”, “seven desire lines one map”, and “In the checkpoint I was all arms / all face”. There was one page where it looks like an editing note was left on accident (page 17). Can’t wait to purchase a physical copy of this book and recommend it to friends and customers!
