Really good read about a 2nd chance romance. She's working on making her name for herself in a small town helping people with her baking and her ex has come back to town!
It was short of sweet whilst still being able to cover issues about our MFC chronic illness and how misdiagnoses' can effect a person and the affects it can have on daily tasks. I felt like this book really handled this topic very well as it can us a good feeling on what it must be like to live with a chronic illness whilst still giving her hopes, dreams and having a good feel for the character

I really enjoyed this book! If you need a quick cute read, this is definitely it!
For the length of the book the story didn’t feel rushed to me at all. I wish there was another 50 pages or so, to get a little more of Ty and Quinn together in the end.
Overall great read!

This was a super cute, country vibe romance read and I was here for it.
From the moment we met Quinn, I was drawn to her personality and characterisation. She had clearly been hurt and although she had a barrier up, she was extremely likeable. For me, it took longer to warm to Ty. I think the knowledge that he had hurt Quinn in the past and it put me off getting to know him. However, he had a lot of love to give and it made me feel all warm inside when they realised there was something still there.
A lovely little read for anyone who is a fan of second-chance love and slow burns.

I received this book as an ARC from Netgalley for my honest review! Thank you Netgalley!
Sometimes I try to branch out and read tropes I don't normally like to see if it can be done well or if I just don't like that concept. I think in this case it's me, not the book. I'm just not a second chance girl. I don't believe in giving second chances if someone broke your heart or your trust. So don't take my review to heart if there's a magic to a second chance for you that I just can't see.

I love Ty and Quinn! They are so freaking cute & Krysti made it feel like you are a part of their love! You wish for them to be together the ENTIRE TIME! I loved it!

I think the Gilmore girls vibes were much oversold.
Cute but I feel like there wasn’t enough angst or chemistry

Give me a Taylor Swift Lyric and you know I'm going to immediately want to read!
Definitely feeling the Gilmore Girls & Sweet Home Alabama vibe. Cute & short story - definitely reminds me of the angst and drama of being a teenager. So be prepared for MULTIPLE miscommunications - the joys of being young, they NEVER talk to each other. I get to say that now that I'm old 🤣
The hidden disability rep (MCAS) was really great to see.

This was a cute small town romance
I will always like second chance, small town romances and this book was no exception. I loved the inclusion of chronic illnesses and how Quinn was trying to help others. I also saw some reviews which mentioned that they did not really see Ty and Quinn's connection but I noticed it in the little things they did. Things that were barely even noticeable at first glance but were necessary to show the re- building of their relationship with each other. I also really enjoyed the Taylor Swift references throughout!
There were a couple of things that I personally was not a fan of. There was times where I felt like both the FMC and MMC wanted the other to read their minds and I am not overly keen on the miscommunication trope.
Thank you to NetGalley for letting me have an advanced copy of this book!

If you’re looking for a light-hearted, exciting romance, this is definitely the book for you! This was so different from any romance book I’ve read, mainly because it all takes place while the MCs are filming a reality dating show. I loved the background for both MCs as you get real insight into previous issues that’s led them to be who they are, and why they struggle to connect. It’s dual POV, which I will ALWAYS love, with the FMC looking for love, and the MMC avoiding love - always a great combo🤩
A fantastic friends-to-lovers romance, with plenty of drama! I really really enjoyed this

This book was a solid read and I liked the chronic illness representation! Also, the Taylor Swift references were great of course🤭 Other than that, I did find a lot of the book a bit cringey and there was too much miscommunication for me. But it was a quick read, only around 200 pages, so it wasn’t like I lost too much time over it. Overall, I probably wouldn’t recommend but I still somewhat enjoyed it🤍
Thank you NetGalley for the arc!!

Looking for a wholesome small town second-chance love story? “Never Getting Back Together” follows Quinn and Ty, two high school sweethearts that are reluctantly reunited and forced to cooperate to put on their town’s week-long summer festival. Thanks to plenty of meddling family, they rediscover the love they never really lost.
Once I started this book, I couldn’t put it down. Quinn is smart and snarky and stubborn (sometimes to her detriment) whose POV was both entertaining and educational. I learned so much about Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS), but it never took away from the narrative, rather coloring it and allowing Quinn to have a deep driving force. Paired with Ty, who is equal parts charming and infuriating, they made for a really lovely read. I’d definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a clean, heart-warming romance. This book is out now, so go grab your copy!

****THIS IS A NETGALLEY ARC REVIEW****
I didn’t hate this book. It was cute, had cute tropes (I love second chance romance and the small town vibes), and the romance between Ty and Quinn is enjoyable, though I definitely wasn’t a fan of Ty in the beginning.
That being said, I was pretty bored in the beginning until it got toward the middle, and definitely cringed at some of the dialogue. I graduated about a year after these people were supposed to have, and it definitely felt like when you’re watching a movie and someone much older than the characters wrote the lines in a way that shows that it’s what they think people that age say, not what they actually do.
All in all, this wasn’t a bad read, but I wouldn’t reread if given the opportunity.

Personal reception-wise, this book was quite a tricky one. I don't necessarily despise it, don't get me wrong, but I can't say that I enjoyed it, especially the whole relationship aspect between Ty and Quinn, which was, in fact, the focal point of the book.
In my opinion, they aren't a good fit.
Their banter was amusing at times, they had promising verbal chemistry and I adored seeing the main character actually dislike her ex-partner, instead of simply pretending to be mean for the sake of pride, but... Their romantic reunion felt too forced. Maybe if they were given more pages to develop and properly communicate with each other, I would've taken it better, but as for now, a big part of me strongly believes they will not last. They simply don't give the vibe of a mature, well-formed couple.
There was a lot of potential for a nice, second-chance romance here and I'm sure a lot of people will disagree with my opinion, which is fine, but I feel kind of disappointed. I had a good laugh or two and appreciated learning about mast cell activation syndrome, which Quinn was suffering from... But that's about it. I will probably forget about this novel in a month or two.

This book was so cute. The ending makes me happy. I wasn't a huge fan of the way Quinn and Ty acted halfway through the book, but I'm glad they were able to work through it in the end.

I liked this. It was cute and funny and kept me interested until the last page. It was angsty and just everything I needed. It was light and fluffy and adorably funny all in one. I'm reviewing this after receiving a free arc edition from netgalley.

UNBIASED ARC REVIEW :)
Never Getting Back Together is a second chance romance, enemies(?) to lovers, forced proximity novel with a heavy focus on living with a Chronic Illness.
It definitely had the potential to be amazing, but just missed the mark a few times. There was no real tension between the characters before they decided to rekindle their love and I felt as though we didn’t really get to know the MMC at all.
But it was an easy read, so I would recommend it to someone who was trying to get into reading or in a reading slump.

“How can he act like he knows me better than anyone and still be completely oblivious to the fact that he's stomping all over what's left of my heart?”

Even though this was a big slow burn I didn’t mind cause the ending was so cute.
I got frustrated a little bit with the miscommunication but finally everything got worked out and it was all a happily ever after.
Super cute and cheesy would definitely recommend reading this one!

Thank you netgalley for this arc!
Never Getting Back Together was the epitome of an easy read. It was cute, and definitely fun but I don't think the writing style was for me. The sentences strung together could have had a little bit of a better flow but overall and fun and easy read. Definitely something perfect for the young adult readers, especially those new to romance or looking for some romance with low stakes drama. The vibes, again, were fun! Nothing out of this world but definitely not the worst!!

This is told to be a Gilmore girls meets sweet home Alabama novel. All about a small town second chance romance situation. Normally these get me excited to read, this however was just boring. I felt like the story has been told many times over and in better and more intriguing ways.
I am bummed because I wanted to love this, but I would not recommend it.
Thank you to Netgalley & the publisher for this arc.

I think this book was good--it was funny, easy to read and a fun plot. But I think a younger reader (maybe 20's-30's) would enjoy it more. The relationship between Quinn and her ex-boyfriend Ty goes from bad to worse to maybe not so bad as they unexpectantly end up working together at the Founder's Festival in their small hometown. Much like a beloved Hallmark movie, you kind of see where it's going to end up...but you enjoy the story of them finally getting there!
