Vibes: YA, second chance.
It was an ok book, short and sweet. I think I usually prefer a book to bit a little bit longer so there is more character development. It also felt more targeted towards a YA audience because it felt a little immature.

Thank you Netgalley for the Arc!
This book was cute, but just was okay. I wish there was more banter between the two main characters and more substance to this book overall.
It was a pretty short read and lacked description. I do think I had a problem connecting to the characters because of their age and it being a little immature for me.
Overall it was a okay book.

I would like to thank NetGalley and Krysti Meyer for an ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
2⭐ - I was drawn to the cover and the title of this book. Small town romances are one of my favorite tropes. But due to the childish behaviors of Ty and Quinn, I didn't really connect with the characters.

This was such a cute read! I love small towns romances and the summary of the book did not disappoint. Imagine a Gilmore Girls town and the loveliest, witty characters that would reside there and now you have 'Never Getting Back Together'. Quinn and Ty seriously needed to work on their communication skills, but they eventually figured it out. I loved reading that the author suffers from the same disease as Quinn, makes the story feel more genuine and filled with interesting facts about MCAS.
Overall, short & fun read to get my year started.

In this charming blend of Gilmore Girls and Sweet Home Alabama, the small-town, second-chance romance of Quinn and Ty unfolds amidst the chaos of their town's Founder's Festival. Quinn's aspirations for business ownership collide with the return of her ex-boyfriend, Ty. The week-long co-hosting duty tests their limits, sparking tempers that ignite like wildfire. The book promises a small-town romance but falls short on delivering the expected chemistry between Quinn and Ty. The lack of a convincing explanation for their reunion leaves a mystery lingering. Despite these drawbacks, the reader found the story enjoyable, breezing through it in one sitting. The plot's slight rush in bringing Quinn and Ty together is noted, yet the overall experience is described as giggly and delightful. Recommended for those seeking an easy, cute romance, this book may not fulfill every expectation but manages to captivate with its lighthearted charm.

I Loved this book! I reaIly enjoyed it and finished it in one sitting. l was giggling and kicking my feet the whole time. I did feel like the plot was Slightly rushed when it came to Quinn and Ty getting together there was nothing really Leading up to It to insinuate that they still have feelings for eachover. Regardless l would Still recomened to those who want a easy but cute romance!

thankyou netgalley for the arc. all opinions are my own and are totally honest and unbiased!
this was fairly okay. nothing special, yet enjoyable.

This is giving Gilmore Girls.
The quirky small town, Gary reminds me of GG's Kirk, the good girl/bad boy Quinn/Ty or Rory/Jess, and Aunt Betty could easily be Babette or Miss Patty with her brashness and positivity.
But, I still really enjoyed reading this. I love a quirky town with even more quirky residents. I love a HEA. I stan a book that gives me all the feels and Quinn interacting with Ty's mom gave me feels.
This is a great read for anyone who loves closed-door, small-town romances, second-chance romances, quirky characters, and real characters.
Quinn was so relatable with her autoimmune disease and how some people treated her like glass. Her desperate need to control her outer world was a realistic representation of the chaos her body could put her through.
I'm not sure if the chemistry between Quinn and Ty translated well. We mostly see it through Liv (Quinn's cousin) and the other townspeople who comment. I realise this is closed door, but there was more heat between them when Quinn was telling him to go away.
I received a copy via NetGalley and all opinions are my own.

Okay so I was originally drawn to this book because I was really into the idea of like a countryside romance and the cover really was what got me to read this. Overall it’s a cute read. I didn’t finish it sooner because life happens. 3/5

Sadly, the only thing more disappointing than being promised a small town romance and not getting any of that, was the absolute lack of chemistry between Quinn and Ty… how they dated once is a mystery to me, why they got back together is just unexplainable.

A second change, small town, forced proximity, sweet romance!
The book follows Quinn in her journey to both find herself and follow her dreams, with a chronic illness diagnosed her life is not like the ones of her peers. During the book, we meet Ty, her ex, and their new found relationship and struggles.
The romance between Quinn and Ty is sweet and realistic, with both characters having their own flaws and challenges to overcome. Their journey towards a second chance at love is heartwarming and but also funny, will say taht the small town setting also adds an extra layer of charm to their story.
At some points in the book, I found their relationship to be a bit immature and childish. As I continued reading, I realized that this was a reflection of the main character's age and development. It was refreshing to see the characters grow and mature throughout the story.
One of the things I really liked about Never Getting Back Together was the way the author portrayed the characters' development. In particular, I enjoyed seeing Ty become more mature and understanding, while Quinn became less over the top in certain situations. It was a realistic and relatable portrayal of how relationships can change and evolve over time.
Overall, I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a sweet and heartwarming romance with relatable characters and a small town setting.

I found the writing difficult to get into, couldn’t finish it!
But I do think that it perhaps just wasn’t for me.

Thank you to NetGalley for giving me an early copy in exchange for an honest review.
I was disappointed to see that this novel was basically a ripoff of Gilmore Girls (my favourite show). Every single character, small town quirk, and event was stolen from Gilmore Girls, and it wasn't even done well.
The main character was so unbelievably annoying—every time her ex, Ty, was present in the novel, she had to throw a fit. She acted like a child and I genuinely do not even know why they liked each other.
I think I've given second-chance romances enough second-chances. This trope makes it so easy to hide why the characters fell in love in the first place. And it is so easy for readers not to care at all why the characters fell in love, because we never actually see their initial romance. It's a flop trope and I think I'm done reading them.
I think this novel would be more successful if it had some originality and the characters were not extremely annoying.

2.5 ⭐
I tried to enjoy this book as much as possible but the characters were to childish and not likable at all. I did enjoy seeing more representation of people with food restrictions and I guess the romance wasnt the worst. If the book was a little bit longer I think it would benefit with it, the pace was to quick.

This was a cute read, but a little immature for my personal taste. This would be perfect for someone who enjoys YA romance.
A couple in their early 20s, no spice, second chance romance.
Very sweet read! And I loved the chronic illness representation— the way the author packed so much knowledge and education into the story without making it sound like she was rambling was so good.

I normally love a second chance romance, especially in a small town! Unfortunately, this just wasn’t the book for me. I enjoyed parts of it, but I found that chemistry between the characters was lacking and I couldn’t see myself in either of the characters. I found some of the behaviours immature, and I was just hoping for more!

This book was amazing! I love the setting and the characters! I would definitely recommend this book to another romance lover.

Who doesn't like a second chance at love especially in a small town. When Ty returns for the summer Quinn and him are bumping into each other and the tension is there with angst. I also like the representation of chronic illness that was woven in the story. It was a lovely book.

Gilmore Girls meets Sweet Home Alabama in this small-town, second-chance romance. Quinn is hustling to make her dream of owning her own business come true. But first, she'll have to survive a week of hosting her small town's Founder's Festival with her ex.Could Quinn Kelley's summer be more stressful? She's hustling to complete the certification program she needs to launch her own business. She has enough ongoing family drama to keep up with a Kardashian. And, oh yeah, her ex-boyfriend is back in town for the first time in years.Quinn would have been perfectly happy to continue pretending Ty Rossi doesn't exist. But when their mutual friend has a family emergency and has to leave town suddenly, Quinn and Ty are left in charge of their town's Founder's Festival. If they can survive an entire week of co-hosting events without murdering each other, it'll be a miracle. Their tempers ignite like flames set to paper anytime they're together. But the more time she spends with Ty, the more Quinn questions if all those sparks are fueled entirely by hate. This is a swoony, closed-door romantic comedy with Gilmore Girls vibes and a dreamy second-chance romance.

This book is for us swifties

This is what I think of when I think of a fast summer romance read. If you're in the mood for a country summer romance with a bit of banter that also represents a character working to overcome limitations of a (mild, non terminal) medical condition this might be just what you're looking for.
Thank you to the publisher for providing a copy for me to read and review!
