The sections are:
Recipes from an Appetite for Murder
Recipes from Death in Four Courses
Recipes from Topped Chef
Recipes from Murder with Ganache
Recipes from Death with All the Trimmings
Recipes from Fatal Reservations
Recipes from Killer Takeout
Recipes from Death on the Menu
Recipes from a Deadly Feast

Each recipe has a little blurb about the recipe of where it was featured.
There is an ingredients list and directions which are very clear and easy to follow. One of my fpppaparts about cookbooks is the pictures, but sadly there were not pictures of each of the foods :(

Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book contains recipes as well as short synopses from the Lucy Burdette series of culinary mysteries set in Key West. Since the main character is a food critic, there are recipes for each book that tie in with the stories. Readers who enjoy cooking unique dishes will find this book to be a fun addition to their cooking repertoire. It is not necessary to have read the mystery novels in order to enjoy reading and using the recipes, although readers of this series will find the recipes add interest to their reading. For those unfamiliar with the series, this book may provide incentive to read the books!

I received this book from the publisher and from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. The opinions included here are my own.

So excited for this cookbook! Some of my favorite recipes all in one place, and I love the little reminders about the books they came from and side stories of the recipes origination. So happy to have this!

LUCY BURDETTE’S KITCHEN: RECIPES AND STORIES FROM THE KEY WEST FOOD CRITIC MYSTERIES is a wonderful collection of recipes to try at home. From drinks and appetizers and from breakfast to dessert and all the nibbles in between, this book has it covered. I loved the intros to each recipe, which includes a peak at the book the recipe was first featured in and/or a personal story on how the recipe came to be. The bonus short story staring protagonist Hayley Snow and her octogenarian friend, Miss Gloria, is the icing on the cake. The only reason this receives 4 stars instead of 5 is the utter lack of photos. I love to pore over cookbooks and drool over the pictures of dishes, but sadly, this cookbook doesn’t allow that.

I was provided with an advance copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I really enjoyed the recipes as well as call backs to the books they're featured in. Everything I tried was pretty easy to make with clear instructions and easy to follow steps.

I adore the Key West Food Critic mysteries and each and every book comes with mouth watering recipes that the characters enjoy in the book. Having these compiled into a book makes it far easier to keep hold of them and have them at the ready for cooking them. Deserts ad more…though I’m kinda fond of the desert as well as the protagonist in the series is!

Get a copy and then get a copy of the first book in the series…both are absolutely delectable!

Lucy Burdette's Kitchen: Recipes and Stories from the Key West Food Critic Mysteries is a fun look at recipes from the series! The cookbook has recipes listed and references the books with story snippets and they are also listed as meal type - breakfast, appetizer, dessert, main dish etc. There is a good variety and I am looking forward to trying some of them. Plus there is a bonus short story! What's not to love! The Key West Food Critic Mysteries are very enjoyable! #LucyBurdettesKitchen #KeyWestFoodCriticMysteries #NetGalley #CrookedLaneBooks

I think Lucy Burdette’s Kitchen cookbook by Lucy Burdette is absolutely brilliant. It is based off of Lucy Burdette’s Key West mystery novels and features not only recipes that are included in her books, but also the title and excerpts from her books. However, not all of the recipes are influenced by only the Key West area, like the Key Lime pie recipe. There are recipes such as Snickerdoodles, Meatloaf, Granola and even drink recipes to name a few. There are many more recipes than I thought there would be. This is a great recipe book, but also a fun read if you are a lover of books, especially mystery books.

I enjoy reading and using cookbooks based on favorite movies, TV shows, and books. It's a fun and practical way to expand my enjoyment of fictional worlds. Lucy Burdette's Kitchen does almost everything right - from the comforting, retro cover, to categorizing the recipes in sections for each novel, to the final treat, a bonus short story (Las Mango in Paradise, how clever!) with its own recipe.

There's recipes for plenty of sweet, decadent desserts, which of course are a requirement in cozy mysteries, but there's also lots of savory dinners and side dishes, cheesy treats, and salads. It's light on drink recipes but there is a handful of them, including a 'Knockoff Painkiller Cocktail'.

But there is one thing missing: food photography. There is none. Now, I have plenty of cookbooks that are text only, but most of those are vintage. Most modern day cookbooks can almost pass for art books, with plenty of splashy photography. Personally, I can enjoy a cookbook without photos but I certainly would enjoy it more with them.

My thanks to author Lucy Burdette, Crooked Lane Books, and NetGalley for allowing me to read a digital advance review copy of this book. This review is my honest and unbiased opinion.

A collection of recipes from the Key West Food Critic Mysteries is everything I had hoped it would be!

One of my favorite things about this series is the recipes. All of the mouth-watering food they serve would just be a teaser without the how-tos!

The first thing I baked was the One Bowl Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Peppermint Icing. It was gone in one day! Even the folks who didn't care for peppermint loved this version. The cake is moist, and delicate and the icing is a perfect compliment. Best cake ever!

The cheesy polenta is so yummy and the dressing is now my go-to!

I can’t wait to try the rest of the recipes!

Many thanks to Ms. Burdette.

My ARC was provided by the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. I’ve read and own all of the books in this series so while the recipes within are from the previous books I already own, this is still a great addition. I would struggle to remember which recipe was in which book. I like that the recipes are easily adapted to different ingredients or skill levels. The short story at the end was also an exciting extra! I look forward to having the paper version of this book for my collection.

The Key West Food Critic series is known for its dastardly deaths, creative clues, and mouth-watering mysteries. Now, for the first time, all the recipes featured in the series are gathered in a collection for the first time.

Recipes include:
Lucy Burdette's One Bowl Chocolate Cake
Sam's Cornbread Sausage Stuffing

and many more!

Usually, when I read a book with wonderful recipes, I get hungry and start making them - but as I have COVID and everything tastes like soap/cilantro this book will not affect my waistline. Great recipes and stories will transport you to the Florida Keys - be sure to read her mysteries as well
