"Secrets are revealed and alliances are tested as the final battle between the rebels and King Jarrod’s forces looms ahead in the conclusion to the Isle of Dragons trilogy.

As the Isle of Dragons crumbles around them, Jade Sol and her friends must pick up the pieces of the remaining rebel forces and band together one last time. Meanwhile, Jade’s childhood friend turned rival, Kaylen Jacobs, must reckon with the consequences of her actions as she is once again pitted against Jade and her friends.

With the gateway between the spirit realm and human realm now open, King Jarrod is now making plans to fulfill the prophecy to kill the earth spirit. Jade must uncover the truth about the prophecy and destroy the final stone to reverse the damage done to the Isle before it spreads to the rest of the world. But Jade must do this at a great personal cost to herself. Will Jade save her world, or will she lose herself in the process?"

This is the third and final book in the Isle of Dragons series. I enjoyed the first 2 books and this also meets my expectations.

The use of dragons & magic in this world is amazing, it was well thought out and since I didn't realize it was a the third book in the Isle of Dragons series I need to go back and read the other two. . The characters were perfect for this setting and made me enjoy them. I am now going back to download the previous two books. The world this book takes place in is everything. Definitely a must read!

The way this book describes the surrounding environment and its buildings is amazing! I could feel like I was inside that world! The sacrifices all the characters had to make kept me on the edge of my seat! Complete with dragons and action packed this is definitely a book to pick up!

I eventually got into the book but it was hard because I didn’t realize it was the 3rd book in the trilogy

Isle of the Dragons has made its way towards the top of my list! The world building reminded me of Game of Thrones. I love a good dragon book and with the rose in dragon fantasy, I was glad this one seemed to focus on the lore and importance. If you want a fantasy with great world building and even better characters, pick this up.

I loved the use of dragons and magic in this universe, it worked as a third book in the Isle of Dragons series. It had what I enjoyed from the other two books and was written in a way that was meant to. The characters were everything that I was looking for and worked in this world. It left me wanting to read more from L. A. Thompson.

Isle of Dragons, the Ruler of Vansh was an action-packed finale to the Isle of Dragons series. With the gateway between the spirit realm and human realm opened, we follow Jade Sol and her friends as they band together to defeat King Jarrod and save their world. L. A. Thompson does a wonderful job balancing the fantastical elements of her world with the steampunk mechanics that make it unique. The final third of the book seemed to fly by with action, but was a captivating way to see how our characters fulfilled the goals they had been working so hard towards...and the sacrifices they had to make along the way.

4.0 / 5.0

Isle of Dragons: The Ruler of Vansh is the final book on the Isle of Dragons trilogy. This steampunk fantasy is fun, well paced, and full of interesting characters that are well written. Towards the end, I think the pacing could have slowed a bit and given more body to the events, but overall it was enjoyable.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for access to this eARC.

Thanks to Netgalley and BooksGoSocial for the opportunity to read and review this book ahead of its release.

The Ruler of Vansh made an exciting finale for the Isle of Dragons series. It follows Jade Sol and her friends as they come together to face the final battle against their rival and save the world. The characters really came to life and felt realistic and personal, and the plot kept me interested from the first few pages. The pacing was good, and I enjoyed the unique steampunk aspects that were added - not something I've seen before in fantasy, but very well done here. I would highly recommend this series to fans of How to Train Your Dragon and His Dark Materials.

"Isle of Dragons: The Ruler of Vansh" is the exciting conclusion to the trilogy. This book follows young heroes, dragons, and machines on a spectacular island journey that I thoroughly enjoyed.
I have to admit; I'm not usually a fan of steampunk, but the way it's blended with fantasy in this book is spot on. The mix of these two genres created a unique atmosphere that appealed to my love for fantasy without overwhelming me with steampunk elements.
