I enjoyed the last book that I read by this author, but I wasn't too sure about this one. The chapters were very short, and for the most part, I just didn't really feel a connection with any of the characters, or with what was going on. In the moments when I did find myself connecting with it, I just found it a little bit sad and grey. I would probably still try another book by this author though.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for a free copy to review.

This is a must read. Jane Cory never fails to deliver and this is and edge of the seat read. The characters are totally brought to life through this engrossing story of an accident that happened years previously that impacted all of their lives and more so the life of the victim who is left severely disabled.
When the past catches up it brings devastating results for all those concerned.
This is literacy at its best, compelling, emotional and tragic. I would definitely recommend this book

I was gripped from the very start and had to keep reading.
I Died on a Tuesday is a cracking read. Jane is cycling home after an early morning swim. Her whole life is ahead of her and she is looking forward to starting a new job in London. A hit-and-run driver leaves her for dead, with life-changing injuries. The driver is never found.
Twenty years later, famous rock star Robbie Manning gets a knock at the door. A witness has linked him with the accident. What happened? Will he have the strength to tell the truth amongst death threats against his family. Will his family stand by him?
Vanessa, provides witness support for those testifying in court. She took up the role after her husband died. Her husband, who was the investigating officer on the hit and run, has secrets of his own. Now these secrets are coming out and she finds out her husband has been lying to her. Her friend, the Judge on the case, has secrets of his own. The case is bringing out all sorts of danger and lies.
The book weaves all these characters together from the past into the present, coming to a fascinating conclusion. The book is well written and you will not be able to put it down, wondering what the outcome will be.

Thank you to NetGalley for providing the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.
This book marked a strong and positive start to 2024. I loved it; the writing style signaled early on that this was going to be a great read. The characters were well-developed, and the plot was compelling. Although the premise of the book centered around a tragedy, it was skillfully handled, demonstrating how past events can profoundly influence and shape one's future. A very enjoyable read that I would highly recommend.

I have read other books by Jane Corry, and they are always intriguing to say the least. Her last book I read was a domestic thriller which kept me hooked right from the first page.
I died on a Tuesday felt a little different from her previous book. I like the POVs of the three protagonists, like the conversations of Vanessa with her dead husband. It showcased her relationship with Jack and subtly gave insights about her relationship with Jack. Janie's POV around the time of the accident is also remarkably written by Corry. There were subplots which were nicely tied by the end of the book, and I like how it ended as well.
However, I felt the book lacked something, and that something can be gripping element. It did not enough intrigue or did not keep me engaged. Some parts of the story felt a little dull. Robbie or Vanessa's character should invoke empathy or sympathy, but they did not invoke such emotions in me.
I like Jane Corry's books, so I am sure I will be soon ready to read her next one.
Overall, this one is 3 stars for me.
Thank you, NetGalley and Penguin UK, for the copy of the book.

Jane Corry does it again. OMG, this really hits the spot. Three strong central characters, inextricably linked by secrets, tragedy and a past that resonates into the present. The characters have real depth and differences. Unusually, I liked all of them and felt empathy. Corry has woven a complex and haunting tale about guilt, survival and I was gripped from the start. It’s excellent escapist fiction and Corry is truly at the top of her game. Loved, loved, loved this one.

This is EVERYTHING that Jane Corry does best! Great, grounded characters, plenty of twists, nail biting suspense, brilliantly intertwining threads and a satisfying end.
Janie is a girl who was severely injured and left for dead in a hit and run incident, Robbie Manning is the mega famous rock star accused of hitting her and a story that seems simple and straightforward is anything but.
Sometimes the pace towards the end lags a little, but perhaps that's because there are so many threads to tie up and I was too eager and impatient to get to them all.
A gripping, fantastic read from a writer who gets better and better with every amazing book!

When 18-year-old Janie White is left for dead after a road collision the whole community is in shock but no one is ever brought to justice for the shocking crime.
20 years later the events of that night are about to come back and haunt those involved, lives will be turned upside down and futures destroyed. It seems it is finally time for Janie to get justice but there seems to be someone who is determined to stop that happening.
The story is told mainly from the point of view of three people. Janie White, rock star Robbie Manning and witness support officer Vanessa. It twists and turns as it takes you through their lives to the shocking truth of what happened not only with the accident but in the time before and after.

A gripping story of three disparate strands - Janie, young, beautiful and with an exciting life ahead of her is terribly damaged by a hit and run accident. Vanessa, widowed and unsure of her place in the world finds that her late husband had a terrible secret, and a famous rock star who is living with a terrible secret of his own. It takes tremendous skill as a writer to bring three such contrasting strands together at the end of a story, without spoiling the denouement for the reader. Jane Corry does so brilliantly in this addictive page turner.

I love Jane Corry's books and this one was no exception. An absolutely cracking read, Loved the characters especially Vanessa, The plot practically sizzled along. So pleased I got to read this

I have really enjoyed novels by this author in the past, and was very excited to have her latest book to read. Years ago, there was a terrible accident, and a young girl was left with life changing injuries. Robbie Manning is a famous rock star and family man - what was his involvement in the accident? We also meet Vanessa who is a witness service support officer - why was her husband so affected by one of his final cases as a policeman? As the stories weave together, we see how each character was involved in past tragedies. A slightly convoluted plot with some spurious plots thrown into the mix, but this remains an involving and gripping thriller.

Outstanding, as usual, from Jane Corry.
I raced through this book quickly, as I just couldn't put it down (I may have cancelled plans for this book!).
The book starts with an eighteen-year-old girl who is just about to really start her life when she is knocked over and left for dead.
We then meet a variety of characters and follow their lives in that special, gripping way that Jane writes so well.
I really enjoyed this book and can't wait for the next Jane Corry sensation.

Seriously gripping stuff!
Every character is beautifully written, particularly Vanessa, who seems to have had the roughest hand dealt to her (except Janie of course). The differences in the lives led by Janie, Vanessa and Robbie are stark and full of "what if" situations for all of the characters.
The story is cleverly woven between perspectives and as the truth unfolds there are plenty of unexpected turns.

Another good read from Jane Corry which had so many twists and plots it left me reeling. Several peoples stories that reveal during the book that they are all linked to one tragic accident, with none of them having spotless characters. A mistake in the past comes back to haunt a famous music star as he is arrested and charged with leaving a girl critically and horrifically injured in a collision. He initially pleads guilty in an effort to protect his family but when his wife urges him to tell the truth he reluctantly agrees. The Judge himself has a past and is being blackmailed, as is the witness support officer, who herself has a tragic past and a shocking revelation that makes her see her deceased husband in a different light. So many plots and side stories that eventually come together but with a past final twist. Stunning read!

Another great read from Jane. Spread over a period of many years ,starting with a teenage girl{Janie} being left for dead after a hit and run accident , when she was returning home on her bike from the beach after a swim ,She had been hit by a white van whose occupants were a band heading for a gig.
The lead detective on the investigating team.Jack, swore to catch the culprits but got nowhere . Over the years Janie's memory starts to return and the lead singer of the band, now a famous solo artist ,is arrested.but all is not as it appears , with the other band members being part of a criminal family. This family has been using threats of violence and death to get Robbie {the singer} convicted and imprisoned for the accident.
Things do not go as they hoped and the links between all the characters involved are revealed and a number of secrets kept by each one are revealed.

As other reviewers nave indicated this is an almost compulsively readable story with lots of twists and turns. I must also say that some of the plot and characterization is a little shallow, and at times not credible but funnily enough, this did not spoil the enjoyment.

A new author for me, but one I will now follow with eager anticipation.
Three characters are the backbone of the book a young girl Janie who had life changing injuries years ago, a young lad made good as a popstar and Vanessa who works as a court support volunteer. Vanessa has own issue to contend with and also give support to Janie the young lady.
I thought I had the book worked out before halfway, but that many red herrings came up I was totally wrong.
Excellent writing. Waiting for the next novel.

Wow this book does not disappoint and was a great way to finish off my 2023 reading list. We meet a young girl whose life has been turned upside down after a dreadful accident almost killed her. When years later a famous musician is arrested for her attempted murder she is determined to have her voice finally heard but is the truth of the events ever going to come out and who is telling the truth. Whilst all of this takes place an innocent old lady is also having her life turned upside down by a mysterious new friend.,

Where do I start. This book totally gripped me, it was unputdownable and Christmas got in my way. I just don't know where to start without giving too much away. There are many twists and turns. The characters are believable and this thriller is well written. If you only read one book in 2024, make it this one. You won't regret it.

Wow, what a book.
I can't even begin to explain how fab this book is without giving away plot secrets.
It starts with a tragic accident then it's all about the secrets I think every character is hiding... So that's all I can say about that!
Oh what a tangled web we weave when we conspire to decieve
All I'll say is set aside some proper reading time and devour this.
Loved this book. Thanks to netgalley for the opportunity to review this book this is my honest opinion.
