Escape to the enchanting landscapes of Scotland in this cute romance novel that captivates with its rich traditions, myths, and cozy holiday romance. Perfect for curling up by the fire with a cup of tea, this book invites readers to immerse themselves in the beauty and magic of Scotland while experiencing various heartwarming love stories.
Set against the backdrop of Scotland's breathtaking scenery, this story follows the journey of a few characters as they navigate love, tradition, and holiday cheer.
With interesting information on myths and Scottish beliefs woven seamlessly into the narrative, readers are treated to a deeper understanding of the culture and heritage of Scotland. While this is a continuation from the first book, it can be read as a standalone story, offering readers a cozy holiday romance filled with warmth and charm.
When Caitlin Montgomery learns that her best friend has vanished to Scotland, she impulsively follows, embarking on a journey to uncover the truth. However, her quest leads her not only to answers but also to unexpected romance and the enchanting traditions of the Scottish Highlands. Joined by her friend Melissa and Melissa's love interest Colin, they plan a magical Hogmanay getaway to the Isle of Skye. But their plans take a drastic turn when Melissa and Colin are hospitalised after an accident. Undeterred, Caitlin and Colin's sister Lindsay press on, finding themselves stranded in a small town by Loch Ness. Here, they meet Drew and Angus, two very charming locals, and a friendly rivalry sparks between them. As they navigate the snowy landscape and cozy inn, Caitlin finds herself drawn to Angus's rugged charm while Lindsay discovers a connection with Drew. Amidst the winter magic, love blossoms unexpectedly, forging bonds that will change their lives forever.
The Characters are brought to life with authenticity, each carrying their own hopes, dreams, and fears.
The author's writing style is evocative and immersive, transporting readers to the heart of Scotland with heartfelt prose.
With its seamless blend of romance, tradition, and holiday cheer, this book is sure to delight readers seeking a cozy escape to the Scottish Highlands.

A sweet love story during a snowstorm on Loch Ness. A nice cozy read. It ends with a cliffhanger, but is still a decent ending. Overall a quick satisfying read.

Very cozy and cute Holliday RomCom, I really enjoy thi book ✨
Christmas is the best time of the year.
Thanks Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book

Thank you NetGalley and the author for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.
If you are looking for a cozy little meet cute in an adorable setting and you can deal with the author’s writing style, you will enjoy this book. If you like cute romances, but still look for some literary merit, this book probably won’t be what you’re looking for.
I haven’t read any other books in this series and was still able to follow the story line without issue. When one best friend up and moved to Scotland from Boston, her friend decided to meet up with her for a week over the new year.
The story is set near Loch Ness and occurs during a Scottish blizzard. The two friends end up separated and with other people during the blizzard. There is a love story for each of the three main female characters. I just really struggled with the author’s writing style. It seemed forced and there was no flow. It was rather cheesy. Now, some people love this kind of writing and appreciate an easy read. It just wasn’t my favorite.

This was such a wonderful and enjoyable read!!!! I loved this book and highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys this genre. Thank you so much to the publisher and NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was a captivating, cute, cosy and enjoyable sequel to A Highland Christmas that can be read as a stand-alone. This book follows Melissa's friend, Caitlin.
A fun romance at New Years, with Caitlin, Agnus and a Scottish New Year. This was a fun romantic short story and I can’t wait for the next. I would recommend this book to any romance lover.

This is the second book in the Highland's series and follows Melissa's friend, Caitlin.
A fun romance at New Years, with Caitlin enjoying both a budding romance with Agnus and a Scottish New Year. This was a fun short story of romance, also advancing Melissa's story. Can't wait for the next in the series!

Loved this book! I'm just getting back into reading romance and this was a great one to help get my feet back in the romance water. Would recommend!

I can't give this book a fair review because I thoroughly didn't like it and couldn't get into it. The concept was great, the cover drew me in, but the story line didn't connect with me. I didn't make it past the first chapter.

The description says it is a standalone sequel but I disagree. I got very confused very quickly because I didn’t read the first book. I was able to get the gist of what happened with Melissa and the divorce and the house but just enough to get by.
The story seems cute but the characters lacked depth and the writing was choppy. I made it to 24% then ultimately it was a DNF for me.
Thank you NetGalley for this book in return for my honest review. I wish I had liked it more!

This was a cute sequel to A Highland Christmas that can be read as a stand-alone. The story takes place in the Scottish Highlands and revolves around Caitlin her quest to find her friend Melissa. Naturally an unexpected romance begins to build amongst the back drop of Hogmanay celebrations. This books makes for a perfect cute and cozy read.

With it’s captivating storyline, picturesque settings and endearing characters Highlands New Year by Amy Quick Parrish is a cute, cozy and enjoyable read that takes readers on adventure through the Scottish Highlands.
This is the perfect read for the holiday season with the Scottish setting, touch of romance and engaging characters. Highlands New Year is a standalone read but would recommend reading Highlands Christmas first as this does continue from where it left off.
Thank you NetGalley and Amy Quick Parrish for the complimentary copy, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Snowy Surprise : Finding Highland Love in the New Year
“Highlands New Year” by Amy Quick Parrish is a delightful winter romance that sweeps you away to the landscapes of the Scottish Highlands. This standalone romance is a sequel to “Highlands Christmas” and it’s really best if you read it first since the story continues from it. The FMC, Caitlin, spontaneously takes a trip to Scotland in order to check on her recently divorced best friend, Melissa. What Caitlin didn’t expect was to find herself on a journey of self discovery, especially when she meets Angus, the bearded handsome musician who steals her heart amidst the cozy firelight and snow laden moors.
The characters, especially Caitlin and Angus, are charming and relatable and Parrish writes a heartwarming and believable romance with a little mystery. Their romance is sweet and slow-burning. The ending, however, may leave some readers wanting more due to some loose ends left hanging.
“Highlands New Year” is delightful winter romance with a touch of magic, perfect for fans of cozy reads and heartwarming happily ever afters. 3.5⭐️
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
#HighlandsNewYearHighlandsChristmasRomance

This says it is a stand alone sequel but it really felt more like you needed to read the first book as the other couple does play a part in this book at times and it was hard to understand their relationship.
I'm also not sure this can be called a sequel as there doesn't feel like an ending. It was interesting at times and the location descriptions were neat but there were times I wasn't sure whose love story it was.

A quick novella to enjoy on New Years. Heavy on the Scottish culture and traditions (which was nice) but no character development or interesting plot. Overuse of exclamation points. Thanks to NetGalley for a digital copy

Highlands New Year by Amy Quick Parrish ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
This is the second novella I’ve read by @amyquickparrishwrites this year, and I think I enjoyed it even more than Highlands Christmas. A sweet story where Melissa’s friend Caitlin comes over to visit after Melissa took off to Scotland post divorce. Takes place during Hogmany celebrations, and includes another hunky male lead. Great quick read!

This book isn’t a stand alone. I was instantly confused because I hadn’t read the first book in the series, so I decided to read it before starting this one. It was awful. Weak plot, stilted dialogue, bland characters. I tried to read this one again after finishing the first book, but it’s so bad I couldn’t finish it, and it’s only 100 pages.

This was a cute easy read, just in time for the holidays. The author does a wonderful job of transporting you to cozy little Scottish town. When Lindsay and Caitlin get snowed in a quaint little lodge, they meet the two handsome owners. Lindsay and Cailtin chip in to help settle all the stranded guest with food, drinks and music. Amy Quick Parrish did an excellent job weaving in the Scottish culture and holiday traditions.

A quick and easy read for the holidays. Caitlin goes to Scotland to visit her friend Melissa, and both find romance. Liked this one and was easy to pick up and put down. Perfect for a quick break read during this spurts of busyness during the holidays. Would recommend.

I received a free copy of, Highlands New Year, by Amy Quick Parrish, from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This is book two in the Highland Christmas romance series. This is a short story, a little over a hundred pages. Caitlin is going to the Scottish Highlands to rescue her friend, but is she the one who actually gets rescued? A good read, beautiful scenery.
