This series is absolutely wicked and you’ll be desperate to read more! Marni Mann is definitely an author that always delivers the best series.

This story had all the makings of a great story but failed to deliver. The FMC cracked the sh1ts when the MMC wouldn’t drop to one knee, despite never hinting at anything more than one session of bumping uglies. Ahhh unrealistic expectations- the foundation of every good relationship.
If marriage was the only way to save his company, I still don’t understand why the MMC didn’t just go get a money hungry b1mbo to marry (maybe one from the yacht!), that didn’t have relationship expectations? And the FMC agrees to the marriage because she wants the MMC for more than just no-strings-flings and thought she would make him love her by ... what? Acting like a b1tch?
The ending felt really rushed. The confrontation between the FMC and MMC following the big secret expose, was a non-event. The whole thing was glossed over and next thing we knew, we’re at the wedding and everything’s forgiven and everyone’s in love. I know this is nit-picking now, but I also don’t know why they wouldn’t push the wedding a bit until her cast was off. Who wants wedding photos with a cast on?? On the whole, I didn’t warm to either the FMC or the MMC and had to push myself to finish this book.

Thank you Montlake and Netgalley for my gifted copy in exchange for an honest review!
Mr Wicked was the perfect nickname for playboy Grayson. This had the perfect introduction of the couple, and the timeline of all the events was timed perfectly. I didn’t think anything went too fast or dragged on too long. I really liked both Grayson and Jovana. Marni always write amazing characters and unique storylines. I cannot wait for the third in the series.

I read several Marni Mann’s books in the past and I really enjoyed them, so I was really interested to read Grayson Tanner story. He is one of the founders of Hooked an online dating app that matches people with their perfect partner. He then meets Jovana Winters and can’t stop thinking about her. I felt it was a case of insta-love which I’m not a big fan.
This is the second book of a series but as always, the books can be read as standalones, but we can see the connections between characters through the books. The fact that both main characters came from opposite backgrounds was a nice touch. As the development they had throughout the story. The pace was good and so was the writing.
Overall, it was a nice read but I felt like I was missing something to the story, and it felt a bit forced. The chemistry between them was great but I think it was the immediate connection they got that put me a bit off. I still recommend Marni’s book and I’ll be waiting to read more stories from her.
Thank you, NetGalley & the publisher, for approving me to read this arc and write this review.

Thank you to Net Galley and Montlake publishing for an early review copy. I am a huge Marni Mann fan, and her latest book did not disappoint. I was honestly intrigued from the opening line. I must admit that fake dating or marriage of convenience are not my favorite tropes, but I was in good hands with Marni and this story. Billionaire Grayson is brought to his knees by our FMC Jovana at a time in his life when he thought that being a bachelor was the only life for him. I enjoyed the steamy times in this story and also that there was a genuine plot as well.

I enjoyed the set up of the story, and I love a fake dating/marriage of convenience plot line! The banter between Grayson and Jovana was so well done, but it felt a little insta-love-y to me which isn’t normally my cup of tea. The ending was also a little rushed in my opinion, but it was a nice quick read that overall I enjoyed! The spice!? Whew!

This is the first book I read from Marni Mann. A quick read and I love the witty banter, humor and the sexy talk haha. I also really loved the character development here. This book is a one night stand, enemy to lovers and has a fake dating twist.
“Thank you NetGalley and Montlake for sending this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.”

I just didn’t like this book which makes me sad as I adore the author and have had so many five star ratings. He was just an absolute arsehole and the book is more about the business than a romance.
Around 73% there’s a paragraph written in third person out of the blue?

This book did not disappoint! I absolutely loved Jovana and Grayson when it came to the chemistry between them when they were together because it was undeniable. Grayson sees Jovana and knows he wants her in his bed for a night after all, he's a man that doesn't believe in commitment. However, Jovana is the complete opposite when it comes to commitment and after her night with Grayson, she wants more but much to her dismay Grayson doesn't. However, Grayson's actions during a vacation have a negative effect on "Hooked" and in order to fix his mistake he must do the one thing he doesn't believe in which is being in a relationship. Jovana gets her second chance and Grayson has time to learn that commitment isn't so bad after all. This story is full of steamy scenes, back and forth banter, laugh out loud moments, great friends, family and touch of betrayal and a HEA. The one thing I could have been a little less for me, was the back and forth with Grayson and his feelings but after learning about his mom, I understood his commitment issues a little more. I'm definitely looking forward to reading more books from this author and it's a book I will be recommending to all of my romance book loving friends.

I really enjoyed the set up of the book and the banter between the characters. The spice war a 10/10 for me, however I feel like towards the end it dragged on a little bit and it was hard for me to stay engaged. Overall it was a really great storyline.
Thank you NetGalley, the author and the publisher for this opportunity for an honest review.

This was my first time reading Marni Mann. I enjoyed the writing style and dialogue she had with the characters. I found myself reading it within two days of starting, so it definitely had me hooked. I like that while it is part of a series, you can read it as a stand alone. I haven't read the first one in the series yet, but I don't feel like I was missing any vital information. I will probably find the first book in the series to read more of her work. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the book. ARC provided by NetGalley.

I absolutely love the stories Marni Mann creates and this book is no different. Greyson is the epitome of Mr. Grumpy while Jovana is the perfect example of Ms. Sunshine. In the beginning, they have a one night stand that ends in Greyson telling her he is not a relationship guy AT ALL, leaving Jovana crushed. Fast forward two months when they meet again and Greyson is in need of a relationship to show subscribers of his app that he can be a relationship guy. I loved the banter between the two. I ate up their interactions, both sexual and nonsexual. I definitely think this had a great balance of everything in a book. I enjoyed this book so much and cannot wait to read the next book in the Hooked series!

Loved this story by this new author I discovered, Predictable but enjoyable, love the characters and romantic storyline. Highly recommend, I will check on the author's other books.

Very sexy handsome man in the cover. I can definitely imagine Grayson to be like that. I'm not usually a massive fan of 1st POV story but this one caught my attention. Our Hero was broody and at times rude. Our Heroine was no push over. Their chemistry is scorching hot from the get GO. It's a pretty straight forward story with no Angts and tribulations. It's very fast pace read. Heat level : 5+. It's very steamy.
I voluntary review this ARC and the opinion expressed here is my own.

This book was just okay, in my opinion. I felt like the character development was lacking a bit, and we could’ve seen a bit more into how these two come together as a couple. There’s a scene jump at the end that feels out of place that really threw me off. Overall, an okay read.

WOW!! Marni Mann can do no wrong. I absolutely loved this book! A unique, angsty, deeply heart-wrenching, beautifully written story. It kept my heart racing and I could not put it down!!

Jovana is not a one night stand kind of girl. Imagine her surprise when the charming, devilishly handsome man she THOUGHT she had a connection with all but kicks her out of his bedroom after The Deed.
She is, justifiably, angry, and she may develop a slight obsession with tracking his wicked ways after the fact.
But Grayson wasn't as immune to her charms as he let on. He's closed off and doesn't trust easily, and he vowed to never fall in love. He fought his attraction to Jovana and did what he does best - scared her off so she wouldn't get close.
A leaked video changes everything for both of them. Suddenly, the business Grayson built with his friends is in jeopardy due to his actions, and Jovana may be the only woman who can help them.
Mr. Wicked is your classic enemies-to-lovers with a fake dating twist. There's a bit of suspense thrown in and a lot of pining. I loved how hard Grayson fought his feelings and how hard he fell once he let himself. I didn't love how he "roared" everything, though. It was a bit odd and threw me off at times.
The last 20% or so of Mr. Wicked nearly killed me. The entire book had been steamy and funny, and I loved the banter between Grayson and Jovana. Then there was a huge opportunity for a miscommunication that Marni expertly weaved and allowed Grayson to avoid then BAM a curveball came out of nowhere and knocked me off my feet. You get to see just how hard Grayson had fallen for Jovana and it was the perfect way to end their story!
Thank you, NetGalley, Montlake, and Marni Mann for the opportunity to read an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

3.5/5 rounded up to 4.
I love the premise of the book. Marriage of convenience is a favorite trope. I didn’t love the timeline- I felt like it would drag out and then jump forward a bunch. I also wished they got into Grayson’s history more. I enjoyed it, but didn’t love it. Will stayed tuned for Holden’s book though!

LOVE Marni Mann. I am a huge fan and own all of her back catalogue, and this book was everything I had hoped it would be, and way more.
