The second book in the series finds that the dating app the three men came up with has taken off and now they are soaring over another app and the numbers are out of the roof. Turns out that the algrorythms have them finding love. The problem becomes huge when someone catches Grayson saying he does not believe in commitment. Now he is being teamed with a PR person and then fake dating you can see where this is going. Jovana the female character though becomes the strong person she needs to be for the story. A good book.

Jovana and Grayson have great banter, chemistry, and this fake relationship story is full of spice and good times. Grayson is in need of an image haul over, and Jovana has the right attitude and personality to help Grayson. Though they didn’t have the best start to their relationship, but they would both benefit from this arrangement. I like how Grayson finally comes around and lowers his walls for the right person.

This is Book 2 in the Hooked Series by this author. It is an opposites attract romance between Grayson and Jovana. These flawed characters and the unique plot make for an entertaining read. What starts out as a one night stand turns into something more. It is a slow burn love story with drama and steam, sexual tension and chemistry, and twists and turns, plus appealing secondary characters to keep the reader interested. An emotional ride.

I wanted to like this book but honestly, I wish I had DNF’d it.

I couldn’t relate to the characters at all and the FMC drove me absolutely bonkers. The plot had so much promise but I think it was missing higher stakes. Usually the fun part of the reformed playboy trope is that she believes he’s like that and doesn’t want to risk herself with him. This typically puts the MMC in a position to really prove himself. Instead here, we know from the first couple of chapters she doesn’t buy it. So what’s the point of even using the trope?

It just wasn’t my vibe. The writing was solid and the spice was good but I didn’t enjoy the characters or the half done tropes.

Grayson is this alphahole billionaire who believes he can get any woman he wants. And he avoids commitment like a plague, but underneath it all you find a sweet attentive MMC. You get everything that you expect from a Marni Mann book - sizzling chemistry, immediate attraction and great banter! Highly recommend!W

The journey that Marni takes us on with Mr. Wicked. Per usual we get instant spice...which I loved. Then Grayson had to go and be the biggest alphahole who ever lived....and ruin everything.

Fast forward to Grayson celebrating the success of Hooked and it's international takeover...on a yacht with some friends and six lovely ladies...needless to say it completely blows up in his face from a PR standpoint, he is the mastermind behind the marriage portion of Hooked...and toasting to bachelorhood is not a good look for him.

Jovana has always believed in true love, she doesn't do one night stands...then the one time breaks her rule, he has the audacity to tell her it's one and done. But the universe has big plans for these two.

It involves a contract, a PR stunt, and 12 months of commitment and wedded bliss.

The amount of times I screamed at Grayson as he said the most obnoxious and unbelievable things...unmatched. But I knew Marni was going to flip his world upside down and knock some sense into him...in the form of the beautiful and unwavering Jovana.

I read the ebook and listened to the audio! Andi Arndt and Ryan West were spectacular with their dual narration. I felt like both of them easily embodied the characters and gave a flawless performance.

Mr. Wicked is certainly a case of opposites attract. Greyson is the co-founder of Hooked, a playboy bachelor running the "marriage arm" of the popular dating app. Jovana is the good-girl influencer who works at the bar Greyson and his friends visit, who wants a relationship that is so much like her parents' - wholesome, loving, and for life.

A one-night stand, followed by an (unrelated) PR scandal, has Greyson and Jovana thrust together in a fake-marriage scheme, to prove that Greyson's app works, and can tame even the rowdiest of bachelors. But of course, fake doesn't necessarily stay that way.

This was a fun book to read. I really enjoyed the banter and the relationship growth between Greyson and Jovana. It was written in a way that was highly believable, and you could see the feelings develop between them. The growth of them as characters as well was something great to see, especially as Jovana worked to pull down Greyson's walls, and as she began to give in to the feelings growing for him.

I won't lie, I struggled to get into it initially. It took a bit of time for the plot to take off - the prologue alone was almost 8% of the book as per my kindle - but once it got going, I couldn't put it down. I also feel the resolution of the 3rd act issue was resolved almost too quickly and almost without really discussing it, but it didn't take away from the overall enjoyment of the book.

Whilst this is the second book in the Hooked series, I feel you did not need to read the first - I went in blind, and do not feel my experience was in any way missing anything not having read Mr. Hook Up first.

Marni Mann is definitely an author remaining on my radar after this one. Thank you to @valentine_pr_ for the advanced review copy.

This is a good book. The two main characters are Jovana and Grayson. Jovana is an influencer and waitress in a bar. Grayson is part owner of a company that has an app for dating. Grayson sees Jovana at his usual bar. He waits till she gets off and takes her home with him. The next morning he tells her it was a one and done. A couple of months later he ask ing her to be his fake girlfriend and eventually his fake wife. She agrees. They start dating and then move in together. They start having feelings for each other and fall in love.

Grayson and Jovana’s story was fake marriage perfection. I was hooked from page one. Grayson is a playboy (soon to be reformed) facing a PR crisis. Jovana is his solution and she takes 0 crap from anyone. this story was so fun and steamy and witty! I highly recommend it for fans of steamy billionaire romance!

A steamy, quick and fast paced book. I like the banter between Grayson and Jovana, but for me it was too insta-lovey which made their relationship not so believable imo. Overall, it was an alright read. I just wasn’t too invested in the story.

Mr Wicked is the second book I have read by Marni Mann, and I must say that I love her writing style. The characters and the stories come alive.

In Mr Wicked, Grayson Tanner and his two other buddies decided to create a dating app called Hooked. Grayson is primarily responsible for the marriage section of the app, yet he appears to be the forever bachelor. While on vacation, he is caught up in a PR nightmare. The crisis management team decided he needed to get married to save his image and the company.

Jovana is a social media influencer and waitress. She had a one-night stand with Grayson, although she was aware that it was only meant to be one night, they had an amazing connection and thought it could lead to more.

Jovana is chosen as the woman Grayson will fall in love with and marry, especially since they have some chemistry. They must stay married for one year, and then they can divorce.

However, something about Grayson makes Jovana feel this relationship could be real. Can these two get past their walls to explore a real relationship?

Reasons I enjoyed this book:

Marni did it AGAIN. This is the perfect amount of grumpy/sunshine meets marriage of convenience. I LOVED how mature and sassy Jovana was and the fact that she did not put up with Grayson’s behavior. Absolutely loved this book and can NOT wait for more. 4.5⭐️ 3🌶️

Grayson Tanner needs to rehab his public image as the co-founder of the Hooked dating app. His wicked playboy ways aren’t a good look for the company. A drastic PR plan with a fake marriage is hatched with Jovana, an influencer with whom Grayson had an unforgettable one-night stand. The two have a lot to gain if this fake relationship works. Catching feelings isn’t part of the plan, especially for Greyson. This spicy, sweet, grumpy-sunshine romance fogged up my Kindle screen and warmed my heart. One-click worthy!

Anything Marni writes I will be reading I love her style and how she writes sexy men I devoured this book and I fell in love with the MMC ABSOLUTELY 10/5 stars! No question

This one was gooooood. Honestly kept me hooked and at times Graysons nonchalant attitude pissed me off but then it made it that much better when he redeemed himself.

Mr. Wicked by Marni Mann is book 2 of the Hooked series. I absolutely love this author and everything she writes! This book is about Grayson and Jovana. They were a one night stand never to repeat and now Grayson is asking her to be his fake wife to help with his image after a bad video surfaced. While they are opposites, they are so good for eachother. I'm "hooked" on this series and author and can't wait for more!
