This was a very cute inspirational romance. I too fell in love with the little girl ... and her family. A delightful holiday read!

A sweet romance, I love that it was an Easter setting which is something that you don't really see much of even in Christian fiction.

This second chance romance was so much more. It covered the story of a couple who had suffered the miscarriage of their desperately-wanted baby that had led to their painful divorce. Now years later, Rachel and Jake find themselves neighbors as Jake, a widower, has moved back to their hometown with his young daughter, Daley. I loved the characters in this book especially Jake, Daley (who called Rachel “Miss Wady”), and Daley’s protective and beloved dog, Moose. Rachel had eventually been able to move forward and had built a good life but she had never fully healed so she was at times a bit prickly. The author did a wonderful job of bringing the couple together and healing their marriage and their hearts in a believable (and sometimes bumpy) way. I highly recommend it! I received an ARC from the publisher via NetGalley and their voluntary review contains my honest thoughts and feelings.

This is a second chance romance that is full of emotions. It has wonderful characters and a great plot. I loved the small-town setting and how the whole town honored Easter. Jake and Rachel's story will stay with you long after you turn the last page. I feel in love with Daley and Moose, her dog. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a truly inspirational romance.

Heartfelt

A Mommy for Easter is a very heartfelt story that deals with a difficult topic and its potential long-term effects. From the beginning, my thoughts were with Rachel, not only for what she had been through but also for how it affected her ability to move forward. As for Jake, in my opinion, he is a hero because of how loving, kindhearted, and dedicated he is.

A cute but occasionally mischievous dog, a charming little girl, and several cunning matchmakers all lend support to Rachel and Jake's growing relationship. The result is an amazing story of forgiveness, love, and hope that will deeply touch your heart.

I really really enjoyed this book. The message was heartfelt. I’ve been lucky to never experience child loss but I know those who have and I would recommend this book to them to remind them of God’s love.
The story was very well written and interesting. It was just a nice beautiful book. 5 stars!

Linda Goodnight delivers a compassionate look into the long-term heartache surrounding miscarriage. This is a truly second chance romance for the divorced Rachel and Jake, one that requires both characters to trust God and each other with their shared, painful history.

Goodnight masterfully thrusts Rachel and Jake together in many situations where they were able to rediscover the love that drew them together, while working through their pain. I love the way Goodnight portrayed the emotions, the push and pull, for each character. It felt very true to life and may help some readers experience healing from their own grief over miscarriage.

I strongly recommend this sweet, small town, Christian romance to all fans. If you have doubts about picking this up because miscarriage feels too personal, I encourage you to read this. Perhaps God is ready to surround you with His love and bring your heart some healing too.

Genre: Christian Romance, Small Town Romance
Romance: Very clean. Light kissing.
Faith: Both characters relied on God and grew in their understanding of His love.

A Mommy for Easter by Linda Goodnight
An Uplifting Inspirational Romance
She’d do anything to be a mother…
But is she ready to face the past?
Back in his hometown after a decade, Jake Colter and his adorable toddler are a reminder of everything Rachel Hamby lost. And working on the same Easter committee with her ex-husband makes avoidance impossible. Throw in a small town’s matchmaking scheme and Jake’s sweet dog, and soon Rachel’s falling for the little girl…and her father. But will Rachel risk a second chance with the painful secret she’s keeping?
This is Rachel Hamby,Jake Colter and Daley his little girl's story.
She’d been warned.
Doors should be locked, especially at night, even in a friendly, quiet little town like Rosemary Ridge.
But Rachel Hamby sometimes forgot. In this safe, peaceful neighborhood, she always assumed the doors and windows were locked until discovering they weren’t. Last night, apparently, one of them wasn’t.
Therefore, she should not have been surprised on that early spring morning when she stumbled into the kitchen to find someone already there.
Jake Colter thought he might lose his mind or maybe go into cardiac arrest as he raced frantically down the street in the still-sleeping neighborhood, screaming Daley’s name.
He’d lost her.
How on earth had he lost his daughter in the middle of the night in a town as strange to her as Timbuktu?
A chill ran through him as the worst-case scenario intruded.
The back patio door had been standing wide open.
Had someone abducted her?
I recommend this book.
