This was a strong start to the Hand of God series, it had everything that I was hoping for from the description. The characters were what I was hoping for and worked in this sci-fi world. It had a great overall story and I loved the world that was set. I look forward to the next book in this series.

I will not be publishing this review on any platform other than here, as I don’t like to spread negative publicity about a debut indie-author. That being said: I cannot justify another rating than a 1-star.

This novella just was not good. With its 78 pages, plain and flat writing, complete lack of any depth or development and a shallow plot that just wasn’t developed into anything, this reads like a first draft of a high school writing-assignment. The ideas for an interesting story are in there somewhere, but just simply wasn’t finished yet.
As far as I can tell, it’s supposed to be a tie-in novella for a comic book series. As the basis for a comic; I think this could work. As a standalone text, it need a lot more development and editing to be acceptable.
