A big thank you to NetGalley and the author for the eARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is the 3rd in a series, and I think it reads best if read in order. There is a backstory for these two in a previous book. This is Jayce and Kat's story-a second chance. I liked it. He had to work and grow in order to get his way. Hints of future romances by other characters. This is a fun paranormal series. 4 stars

I loved this third book in the Moon Shifters series. Kat and Jayce are reunited after having broken up a year ago. Jayce's main focus is protecting Kat and keeping her safe from the Antiparanormal league. This book is steamy, emotional, and action packed, with lots of twists and turns that kept me glued to the pages. I look forward to the next in this series!

I think this series, as it progresses, just isn't for me. I prefer something a little more fast paced with less filler. But I also see the appeal for other readers and will still be recommending it to wolf book lovers.

Thank you Netgalley and author Katie Reus copy in exchange of my review.

"She left because he couldn’t love her the way she needed…Human Kat Saburova had her heart broken by the Shifter Council’s ruthless enforcer. So she left and never looked back. A year later, an attack that nearly kills her brings him back into her orbit—but she wants nothing to do with him. Now he’ll do anything to save her…Shifter Jayce Kazan has made countless enemies, but for a short time he found peace with a sweet, funny human. Though it tore his heart out, he let her go for her own good. But someone tried to kill her and inadvertently turned her into a shifter. And now that she’s in danger, he’ll cross every line to save her. Even if that means saving her from herself. As he fights for a second chance, the extremists who almost killed her once are looking to finish the job."

This is the 3rd book in the Moon Shifter Series. It is a second-chance romance. I thoroughly enjoy reading this book.

I found this book slow at times. I do like a second chance story and in this one Jayce has his work cut out for him in more ways than one. This has intrigue, friends, and family, which I enjoyed. This was overall a good read,

Mating Instinct was an interesting book. I made the mistake of not reading the first two before reading this one, and I was incredibly lost. That being said, it doesn't reflect on Mating Instinct, only on my lack of knowing this is a series that you need some background for.

The writing was good, spice was great, and overall story was interesting. I didn't love the POV from different people other than the FMC and MMC, it tends to confuse me on who we're learning more from. In a romance novel, I only want the FMC and the MMC.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.

I had a blast reading this updated and revised version of Mating Instinct, the fourth book in Katie Reus's Moon Shifters series (we count novellas as books here). Like all of the books in this series, you can read this one without having read the first three, but you'll miss out on some of the established plot points. However, it won't keep you from enjoying the heck out of this read!

One of the things that I really enjoy about each book in this series is that there are multiple interwoven storylines. Kat and Jayce were introduced in a previous book and they are the main story in this one. However, you get to see how each couple from previous books are doing and a few other characters are introduced that are the main story in the next couple of books. It really makes for a nearly seamless series reading experience. I eagerly await each new book in any series from Katie Reus, because I know that I'll love what she writes.

Didn’t read this series the first time around, but so glad I am reading it now, if you like Lora Leigh’s breed series, you will love these. This is Kat and Jayce’s story, when Kat is still adjusting to shifter life, Jayce is tracking Down the people that would harm his mare! But wait she doesn’t know she’s his mate, but she will, if they live long enough!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own

Who are the bad guys? The evil Antiparanormal League is getting more brazen than ever and the shifter community rallies to defeat the threat and show the humans who the bad guys really are. Action, adventure, secrets, and some tense moments, and simmering to boiling while a pair of fated mates may get a second chance after all. Romantasy fans, just go for it!!!!

This was a solid three ⭐️ for me. There really wasn’t anything too memorable in it for me. I didn’t feel like this book advanced the plot of the series as much, for some reason. Kat and Jayce were fine together, but there was so much miscommunication and will-they-won’t-they between them that it was kind of like, ok, get on with it. I also didn’t love that this book was more I eternal to Kat and Jayce and less focused on the other pack members. Kat played such a huge role in December and Liam’s book, but they were essentially nonexistent in this book. I’d like to know more about Erin’s story, but I’m not sure I have another book from the series in me.

I received a copy of Mating Instinct for free from NetGalley, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Mating Instinct by Katie Reus is book Three in the Moon Shifter Series. This is the story of Jayce and Kat. Jayce works as the enforcer for North America so that has lead to a lot of enemies that are after him. So, Jayce knows if he claims Kat it would surly put her in danger so he doesn't. Enjoyed their story.

I really liked both main characters of this book. There is an underlying story arc that runs through the series, but I think you could still read this as a standalone. Kat and Jayce had a relationship in the past. Kat ended the relationship because she thought her feelings for Jayce were not returned. Jayce was afraid to make their relationship more serious because he did not want Kat to be targeted because of him. Kat was still targeted. Jayce realizes he made a mistake, but now he has to work to win Kat’s trust. Lots of good action and a bit of grovel.

First of all I got an advanced copy of this book and didn’t realize it was a series. With that being said it wasn’t hard to follow and I don’t think it was necessary to read the first. I struggled to get into this book at first but it picked up around halfway and I’m glad I pushed thru.

Jayce and Kat. I flew through this story and loved every minute. They have intrigued me since the first introduction of the human and enforcer. Now this story picks up after Kat was tortured and turned shifter to save her life. They must handle emotional baggage of their beginning relationship, family histories, and the danger the supernatural community is facing. The training and other pack members are fascinating and the introduction of Laila, a potential enforcer, was well done. More couples are introduced and the town is further developed with the Sherriff, media and a few other members having more scenes.

This book takes place right after Primal Possession by Katie Reus, which I reviewed last week. So if you haven't read these books and want to there may be some spoilers ahead in case you don't want to spoil either of these books for yourself.

Jayce is the enforcer North America which means he goes after rogue shifters or shifters who have broke pack law and brings then to justice and if that means he has to kill them, he will. So he's made a lot of enemies and the last thing he wanted to do was to put Kat in danger by making her his mate or bonding with her even though he has very strong feelings for her. So she left him because she didn't want to feel like just a play thing when she had real feelings for him and he never explained why he was keeping her at arms length.

After the very bad things that happened to Kat in the last book, Jayce feels horrible that he couldn't find her in time to save her from what happened. So once again he's trying to keep her at arms length but it's really hard now that she's a shifter and doesn't understand all the rules to being a shifter.

Jayce wants to go after the people in the APL (Anti Paranormal League) who put her in danger and are putting other shifters in danger. These humans are making it harder and harder for shifters to live in peace and if they kidnap or kill a few shifters in the process, they don't care.

After Jayce and Kat have been fighting their feelings for each other so long I really thought I would see more romance between them but when they do give in to their feelings, it just felt like more lust than love which annoyed me a bit. The romance and their relationship took a back seat to bringing the APL members to justice. This book wasn't as good as the previous book, Primal Possession was for me. It was still a good book and got better towards the end when the action and drama really got going, so it was worth the read.

Disclosure: I was given an e-ARC of this book via NetGalley but all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I loved it the book had me hooked from page one, and I did not want to put it down because it was that captivating. This is the first book I have ever read by her and I now have to go see what else books she has written so that I can read those as well. She is a wonderful author and I totally would recommend her to my friends.

As usual an absolutely wonderful shifter book. Love this series and author. Jayce and Kat are perfect for each other, and their story is so good. I loved everything about this book. The characters are great, and the action/suspense is perfect. I cannot wait for the rest of this series to come out.

Mating Instinct by Katie Reus is a addictive book. This is my 3rd book from Katie Reus and I absolutely love Moon Shifter series. As a steamy shifter book reader, this book is a must.

This book is perfect for a shifter romance fan. This book got high sexual tension, second chance love, plenty of spicy scenes, action packed, trauma, suspense, angst and heart breaking moments. The spiciness of this book is intense. The storyline is addicting and the characters development are great. There's also triggered contain such as Kat's abuse and her trauma from her attack.

I'll be looking forward to Katie Reus and the next book of the series which I hope will be Erin and Noah.

I am totally enjoying this Moon Shifter series and it makes it even better by being written by Katie Reus. The author was exceptional with this book. The storyline is addicting, and the characters are great. I can say yet again Katie Reus has written an addicting book. Katie Reus began the story with an appearance of conspiracy and then connected a touch of magic. While circumnavigating it with danger, elation, and heat. That kept me glued to the pages of the book with bated breath until the last page. As always, her characters are captivating, and I felt drawn to their circumstances. This story was on the darker margin of romance. But it is so worth it. This was a fantastic story and I can’t wait to see what she thinks up next.
