Adorable, and really funny as the main character deals with all the regular heroine shoujo manga tropes.

First of all, I love a tall queen and a short king. Secondly, I love how our FMC had short hair that you typically don't see. This was such a fun read!

A very enjoyable comedy shoujo manga! It was rather refreshing that it flipped the stereotypical gender roles, even if the plot was somewhat predictable. Overall, very fun.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing an e-ARC copy of this book, in exchange for this honest review.

This is a comedy manga that plays with clichés, stereotypes and gender roles. It doesn't take itself too seriously, and there's definitely a good dose of surrealism. I would recommend it for anyone wanting something fun, light and different within the rom-com genre.

My Knight by: Saisou
I thought this was a really cute shojo romance/ comedy. Ichinose is so into Mogami, but he can't admit to anyone that he might want to be with someone like her. Mogami, for her part, is starting to catch on, and I think she really sees Ichinose as someone she could be with. But when both do nothing but deflect and miscommunicate, it's going to be pretty hard to get them to admit their feelings for each other, believe each other, and end up together. The series looks pretty short, so maybe I'll stick with it and see how they get together.
I recommend this one if you love those silly high school romances.

3/5 stars

This is a funny concept, but I foundbitbto be lacking. I didn't feel like any of the characters were very well rounded, nor was the storyline very cohesive. If you want something low plot silly vibes this would be good

Loved the art work.

I also love the front cover to this.

Hope to get a physical copy one day.

This volume was great and very refreshing. Think of your typical shojo romance and flip the gender rolls! It remind of the relationships between Haruhi and the Host Club Boys! I would recommend this to any romance fluff lovers!

NOTE: Unable to add link, my apologies.

Re-read 2/17/24-“That girl is going to reincarnate in another world someday and get a harem.” Too cute and I want to be that girl, just sayin’, lol.

THIS WAS JUST TOO CUTE!!

Et hem, I mean, it was SO ADORABLE MY HEART MELTED!!!

Ummm...what I meant to say is...

I really liked the role-reversal of the female being the "hero" and the male being the "heroine" in their behaviors. Also loved the body positivity of a 6 foot plus female romantic lead with the male romantic lead being shorter and while he was a little upset he was shorter, no one else minded and they all still loved the female lead and there was no tall shaming going on. (I don't personally have the problem, being altitudally-challenged, however it was nice to see in the book.)

I really enjoyed this and can't wait for the next one to come out so I can devour it! I will be recommending this at the store, definitely! 5, it's just so CUTE, stars.

My thanks to NetGalley and Kodansha Comics for an eARC copy of this book to read and review.

Thank you so much for letting me read this manga. this is such a cute kind of cozy story. The art style was a little off putting some times especialy the male main character gets distorted a lot.

This was a super cute read! She's My Knight Volume 1 follows Ichinose, a cool and popular high school student who finds himself challenged by the even more loved and charismatic Mogami who is unintentionally like a hero in a Shoujo Manga. What starts as a rivalry turns into more as he fights to understand his feelings, while finding himself in a lot of odd situations.

The story is pretty plotless, but it's a cute slice of life manga with such adorable characters I definitely found myself rooting for them! I also love their friends they are so fun. If you are after a cute easy read, that is very low stake I would definitely recommend!

Thank you to NetGalley and Kondansha Comics for providing me with an eARC in return for an honest review.

I don’t like the male main character, so it didn’t really hold my attention. I don’t like the jumpy male types in some manga. When they act kind of tsundere or whatever. The art is so cute though! Amazing style.

I so enjoyed She’s My Knight volume 1! What a fun fresh manga! The art is great, it has cozy (and sometimes cringey) vibes and kept me laughing out loud. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a lighthearted romp of a shoujo manga. It did have some downsides for me - I didn’t love the strict gender norms that the plot is based on, and I wasn’t 100% in love with the characters. The good news is those are not deal breakers for me! I still really enjoyed this fun manga and would easily pick up volume 2 the next time I need a good laugh. I’m sure I could grow to love these characters and I look forward to seeing more.

Haruma Ichinose has a huge problem. He is no longer the most popular student! He has met his match in Yuki Mogami. She is 4.7 inches taller than him and seems to always come to his rescue and other students rescue on a regular basis. She is the prince of the school while Ichinose seems to have become the heroine in a shojo manga. Being cast as Cinderella certainly does not help him resolve his feeling for Mogami. A fun, episodic manga that has great potential if you like role reversal, parody, and a good cast of characters!

Thanks Netgalley and Kodansha for the opportunity to read this title!

What a cute and funny first volume! I got a lot of Ouran vibes from this volume for some reason (with a little In the Clear Moonlit Dusk, based on the characters looks and how the rest of the school loves them). There isn't much of a plot in this volume. Mostly smaller chapters about Haruma Ichinose falling harder and harder for the oblivious Yuki Mogami. The art in this volume is really cute as well!

A very enjoyable manga. Haruma Ichinose, is a popular high schooler who can have any girl or guy that he wants. He is so used to being the person people swoon over until he meets Yuki Mogami.

Yuki is also popular. She is tall, and beautiful and can have any girl or guy she wants and everyone swoons over her, including Haruma, but she doesn’t notice. She just wants to be friends with everyone.

And so Haruma realises that he is going to have to work to attract her attention and get a date. But suddenly he is in a situation that he hasn’t had to navigate before and despite the help of friends and teachers, will he be able to get the girl he is falling for, especially with all the competition.

This is a heartwarming manga story, with excellent graphics and an amusing storyline. I enjoyed reading it.

Summary:

Haruma Ichinose has gotten pretty used to being the cool and popular guy. So, you can imagine his frustration when he starts getting outdone by another student. What's work – Yuki Mogami is a girl, and she's much more knightly than he will ever be.

As with many tales, the lines between love and hate are far too close. What started as a frustrated obsession quickly becomes something more, all while Ichinose comes to a horrible realization – he's the heroine to Yuki's knight!

Review:

I adore stories that can play with tropes and have fun. So naturally, I fell in love with She's My Knight Vol. 1. This novel takes many classic shojo elements (heroines/knights/etc) and turns them into a blast and a half.

Yuki Mogami is very much the classic prince archetype, and she finds it baffling. Her bafflement is so endearing and honest; I loved it. It counters perfectly to Haruma's frustration with his heroine role.

She's My Knight Vol. 1 is a funny start to a series, one that I fully intend to follow through on (I already pre-ordered volume 2!). I love the character balance, storytelling style, and tongue-in-cheek humor.

Highlights:
Contemporary Romance
Manga – Shojo
Comedy
Lighthearted and sweet

Will I continue the series? 100% Yes!

Thanks to Kodansha Comics and #NetGalley for making this book available for review. All opinions expressed are my own.

The story revolves around Haruma Ichinose, who's been popular since forever. The only person to have bested him is Yuki Mogami. A lot of shenanigans ensure as Ichinose develops a crush on Mogami but is quite the tsundere.

The pacing is rather fast and it gives off an episodic feel but I think that's okay for the romance-comedy genre.
Overall, I really enjoyed reading this story.

Thank you NetGalley and Kodansha Comics for the opportunity to read this ARC !

Want to thank Netgalley and publishers for giving me the chance to read this book.

I haven't read a manga that made me laugh that much or that hard in a long while. The main characters are adorable and even the secondary ones are as well. It isn't a serious story so if you need something light I def suggest this one!
