Have you ever read a book or listened to one and while you enjoyed the overall story, it just wasn't too memorable? That happened to be the case for me with this one. It was just alright for me.

The story starts off with the FMC, Natalie leaving her husband-to-be at the altar. Then we fast forward many years and meet Natalie again. She's kind of a mess, but she is running a successful theatre company, has a boyfriend and a star that is featuring in her next play. It had the potential to be a solid rom-com. I just didn't feel a lot of comedy aside from Natalie's grandmother, Anoushka. She was hilarious and a total scene stealer. She brought the comedy to this romcom

Overall, it was an ok story. It was entertaining enough to follow along on Natalie's journey to figure out life from almost being married to back tracking and getting the life she had envisioned.
The single POV worked for this story since it was 100% Natalie's journey and I did not feel I needed another person's point of view since we had a lot of fun characters that supported our FMC along the way. But there did seem to be a lot of side stories that didn't have a lot to do with Natalie's journey. Those could've been taken out and I would've had the same feelings about the story. Apparently this author is known for their thrillers, but I haven't read his books. But he did a good job at switching up the genre and still giving an entertaining story.

As for the audio, the narrator did a great job with the various accents and all the characters that had to portray. I mentioned above the character of Anoushka. That was my favorite of all the performances. But it could've been because the character was so outrageous. Regardless, a standout job by the narrator.
I would check out another book by Robert Byndza, but since he's known for thrillers, I might go that direction before taking on another rom-com at this point.

This one took me a long time to get into. I was ready to dnf it at first. I am no quitter though and pressed on! There is a lot of characters in this one and some are hard to connect with.

Natalie was my favorite, I think I stuck around just to see where the story went with her. I was rooting for her and Jamie, they were great together. Natalie’s grandmother, was a hoot! I just loved her, she made the entire book for me.

The narrator did a fantastic job at bringing the characters to life. I will definitely listen to another book by her.

Natalie leaves her fiance at the altar. But it's now 15 years later and while she is the manager at a London theatre her ex-fiance, Ryan, has just opened a pop-up theatre across the road.

But Natalie's life hasn't turned out how she wanted it to and maybe he really was the one.

This novel was full of fun characters and scenarios that made you shake your head and hoped they had really thought things through.

I lived the character of Sharon who tried to be there for Natalie but also showed strength as a working mum and trying to juggle her life.

And her Nan was my favourite character as she simply had no fear, and was willing to take risks.

The contrasts between the characters, we knew to dislike, were written well, as well as the witty comebacks and scheming revenge plots, which I found entertaining.

This novel took you on a roller coaster of themes such as alcoholism, fat shaming and death.

This was a really enjoyable novel.

when natalie left her fiance at the alter all those years ago, she was ready for a brand new start. fast forward and she thinks she's found The One in her yoga boyfriend. but then her ex-finace jumps back into her life working at the rival theater across the street from hers. and worse? he's really good at what he does. her theater is putting on an amazing show with an american star and he's also warming up on natalie too. she needs to decide if her yoga boyfriend can step up to the plate, if her ex can even understand who she is or if the american star can be a new beginning before all of this turns into a bigger mess.

filled with hijinks and humor, bryndyza writes a delightful but messy romcom.

Laugh out loud funny!

I loved this book - it was my first Robert Bryndza and I look forward to reading more of his work.

Of course, 'Gran' was my favourite character in the book - everyone should have a gran like this in their lives. But this was one of those great books where every character held their own, no matter how minor they were. Nobody was a 'token character'. Each of them had their own distinct personality and story, from Natalie's assistant and other staff at the theatre right through to her love interests throughout the book. Yet, somehow, none of them seemed to overwhelm any of the others - rather, they complimented each other nicely.

The pace of the story was good, as was the overall storyline and I found myself immersed in all their worlds. I lost track of the amount of strange looks I encountered when I would randomly start laughing while out walking and listening to this book - highly enjoyable and so funny.

I listened to the Audio version of this book and the narrator was perfect for the story - I would definitely listen to her again.

I received an advance review copy for free from NetGalley, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Thank you NetGalley and publishers for the opportunity to listen to this book. I've been on a major romance kick lately, and this checked all of my boxes. I really enjoyed the second chance the characters gave each other.

Negatives:
- There's a particular part at the beginning that stood out to me in a negative way. It was very short but also unnecessary description. I'm sure many other readers will just move right past it, I just couldn't and it became a standout detail that I kept going back to. This isn't a major "negative" but since I kept getting hung up about it I am just noting that.
- I didn't really like Jamie, her ex, and didn't really feel the chemistry between them. Despite there being an emotional arc with him, I didn't really care about Jamie much and many of the other characters overshadowed him for me.

Positives:
- The narration. The narrator did a wonderful job on this one and I feel like she enhanced the experience with her performance.
- I did laugh out loud several times with this book.
- I really liked the cast of characters that surround our MC and they do really give off that family/friend vibe. Gram and Ryan were especially enjoyable.
- Road trip shenanigans with Gram and a charming actor? Yes.
- The emotional components of this book were really well done.

Overall, I did enjoy this book and I would recommend it , It was a little bit of a slow burn for me but I felt like the book really picked up once gram came around and I think others will feel the same way. I could certainly see this being one for fans of Bridget Jones' Diary and I'm interested to see what the author does next.

This was a cute little romance! Don't expect anything super deep or complex, but a nice rom-com for a rainy day.
The narrator did a great job with the voices as well
Thank you to Netgalley for the alc!

This was such a fun read! It took me a little while to get into it at first as there are a lot of characters but in the end they’re all really well fleshed out. I was rooting for Natalie all the way through. She’s an imperfect protagonist that makes a lot of mistakes but she really matures during the book and I was rooting for her and Jamie. The highlight of this book for me has to be Natalie’s grandmother, she was a really enjoyable and hilarious character and the voice actor of this audiobook really brought her to life.

Fun easy read. You could see where the story was going, but it was a fun cute read. All the feel goods and the characters were fun.

Loved this audio! Such a funny rom-com. The Hungarian gran is by far my favourite character that I’ve read in the last few years, she’s a delight. The “namaste” boyfriend was irksome and was happy that ended…

Lovely book - good holiday read.

We follow Natalie Love getting married at a young age and deciding it was all wrong. Hurting the man that she left at the alter, Jamie. Fast forward to present day were she is dating a yoga guru, Benjamin, who isn't really committed and Natalie putting together a big production with a major movie star Ryan Harrison. However, her long lost love Jamie is in town as well. We watch her show implode and her navigate all the trails and tribulations.

I really enjoyed this book. Light hearted and easy going. All about second chance love. My only grip would be I feel the two main characters Natalie & Jamie needed to have more interaction throughout the story.
I have the audio version and was well read.

Robert Bryndza nailed it with truly funny Romcom. The relationship between the main character Natalie and her Gran is absolutely adorable and left me wanting more, maybe even a Gran of my very own. Natalie was such a relatable character. A hard working and kind woman who has worked for everything she has in life. Like the rest of us just when she thinks she has life figured out here comes a curve ball making her question what she thought she truly wanted. Does she want Benjamin or will Ryan win her heart? Can Gran help her make up her mind before it’s too late? You are sure to love the narration by Jan Cramer!

Bit of chic lit light reading, girl dumps boy they go their separate ways then meet again 15 years later in life. Bit predictable, didn't really like the ending but it's an easy read for holiday. Thank you #NetGalley for the audiobook to review.

I loved "Miss Wrong and Mr Right" by Robert Bryndza. The story follows Natalie Love, a successful London theatre director trying to juggle her professional life, love life, and chaotic family all at once. The book is filled with humour, heart, and plenty of unexpected twists and turns that kept me entertained from beginning to end.
The audiobook narration was fantastic. Jan Cramer, the narrator, perfectly captured each character's essence. The accents were spot on, and the delivery was filled with just the right amount of wit and charm. Thanks to the narrator's outstanding performance, I laughed out loud multiple times throughout the story.
Natalie is a relatable and endearing protagonist, and I couldn't help but root for her throughout the book. Her interactions with her eccentric Hungarian grandmother, her awful yoga boyfriend, and her old flame, Jamie, added complexity to the story and kept me engaged. The romantic entanglements and hilarious mishaps that Natalie finds herself in make for a delightful read that I highly recommend to romantic comedy fans.
Overall, "Miss Wrong and Mr Right" was a delightful and entertaining read that hooked me from the first page. I thoroughly enjoyed the story's humour, romance, and heartwarming moments.

By no means a terrible book, I do think you want to be in the mood for a silly comedy that at no point ever pretends like it could actually happen or be real. In many ways, this felt very heavily plotted and lacking any kind of organic joy or chemistry. But it is perfectly serviceable in a very banal way. Note: I listened to the audio version and the narrator did a decent job.

Story: Natalie turned down a perfectly good man at the alter many years ago. Now, long gone from her small British town, she is thriving in London as the manager of a small theater. When she is able to book the hot young American star of the TV series Manhattan Beach, it seems everything is really falling into place for her. But then her ex shows up with his girlfriend - a burlesque artist hosting a show in the building directly across the street. Sparks will fly as the two compete to gain an audience for their shows.

Natalie, as a lead character, is rather milquetoast. She doesn't really have any admirable qualities and instead is kind of floating through life. Her ex is rarely seen through the whole book so we never really get a feel for him. Meanwhile, there is a cast of quirky characters around her to provide enough hijinks for the laugh track. From a man eating Eastern-European grandmother to a Texan manager. Add in the American movie star with a drinking problem and you get the idea.

The author has fun with the characters and situations as the battle ensues between the theaters (though I wish it wasn't so silly - imagine a tray of sandwiches falling from a London city rooftop onto a crowded street, spurring a frenzied flock of hungry pigeons attacking and you get the idea). Meanwhile, Natalie is dealing with an OTT boyfriend in the form of a yoga instructor who starts every sentence with 'namaste' (funny, right?) and trying to keep the movie star from falling off the wagon before the production can even begin.

So I never got into the character of Natalie, certainly didn't see much of her love interest ex, and was kind of bored by the improbable situations in which the characters in the story found themselves. This felt almost formulaic in its denouement.

The narration was fine - the American accents felt a bit flat but otherwise the narrator did a good job embodying the character. As such, this is a good book to consider the audio version. It is simple, easy to follow, and mildly amusing at times. Reviewed from an advance reader copy provided by the publisher.

I really enjoyed this story. It actually made me laugh out loud several times. I Gran was my favorite character, she is so exciting and adventurous. I really loved her and Natalie's relationship. I think Natalie's journey to find the right one definitely took the scenic route several times I often wondered where the story was going. Which was very good as it kept me guessing. Unfortunately I don't think we were given enough time with Mr. Right in order for me to root for him. That being said I really did enjoy this book.
