DNF. I didn't realize this one was YA and quickly realized this didn't work for me. I tried to read another Kaitlyn Hill book last year and didn't enjoy it - so I think this author just isn't for me. It was cheesy and over-the-top right off the bat, so I just wasn't interested. Thanks anyway for the ARC.

This was a fun book! It’s the first one I’ve read where the setting revolves around a reality tv competition. While it wasn't my favorite setting, I enjoyed the writing style. I didn’t love Natalie and found her slightly annoying, but I appreciated the mental health representation. On the other hand, Finn was a joy to read about, and I appreciated his story about loss and grief. This was a cute, fun read. Team Finnatalie forever!
Thinks I Loved:
-Anxiety Rep
-Only One Tent
-Forced Proximity
-Grumpy/Sunshine
-Reality TV Adventure
-Outdoorsy
Thanks NetGalley for an advanced copy in return for an honest review.

Natalie and Finn describe how a mature relationship should be between two college seniors. This book did everything right. It starts off by describing how Natalie wants to win the money in order to pay for school and joins the games. Much to her surprise she is paired up with grumpy Finn and they both decide to win it all. This book touches topics of grief and anxiety. I really enjoyed it. Will be telling the students about this new book.

Really cute book. I read it super quickly. I liked the characters, I thought the story was cute. It was a refreshing, light read.

Wild About You by Kaitlyn Hill is a fun, fast-paced read that will have you cheering for Natalie and Finn. The reality show setting on the Appalachian Trail was a unique and refreshing backdrop for this opposites-attract romance.
Hill does a great job of balancing the intense competition with the blossoming relationship between Natalie and Finn. Their banter is witty and keeps the pages turning. However, while the characters were likable, I found myself wanting a bit more depth to their personal struggles.
Overall, Wild About You is a solid romantic comedy perfect for a beach day or lazy afternoon. It's a quick escape with plenty of laughs and swoony moments.

Natalie and Finn each need money for college and they are each part of a group of teens that apply for a substantial scholarship. The scholarship involved hiking through part of the Appalachian Trail, finding hints to discover the next challenge, complete the challenge and finish the hike before anyone else in the group. Natalie is outgoing, loves to talk, and has never set foot in the wilderness. Finn is quiet, never talks and is completely at home on the trail. Those two are chosen to work together, and, obviously, sparks fly. A good romance for young teens. Thanks to NetGalley for an arc and no pressure for a positive review.

Loved the setting of the trail and some of the tasks each team had to undertake to try to win the money. However I thought Natalie was rather ditsy at times. The slow burn romance between her and Finn was nicely done. 3.5 stars

Wow. I wanted a palette cleanser after reading a fantasy duology, but my goodness I didn't think I'd love it so well!
For one, being from Western NC, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the Appalachian Trail are pretty familiar to me. Also, being a watcher of the show Alone, I could relate a lot to the concept of the story.
I didn't think I would like Natalie at first, mainly because of her dramatic and outlandish personality with her huge cosmetic bag she brings on the trip. But when she opened up and faced her struggles, I grew to like her more.
Same can be said about Finn, who did not have much of a personality at all in the beginning. Finn's character grew on me like a fungus. (Get it?)
Overall, I loved it and it was a great quick read. Not spicy with all the tropes laid out like grumpy/sunshine, forced proximity, and enemies to lovers.

actually kind of blown away by how much i enjoyed reading this romance! it was very feel-good, fluffy, light on angst, etc, and it did get somewhat preachy regarding the anxiety storyline, but the dialogue, plot, and overall writing made up for its flaws for the most part!

5 stars for Finn, 2 stars for Natalie, averaging the overall book to about a 3.5. Plus the cover is a GEM! I love hiking and adventure stories, plus the idea that its set on the AT and within a reality "survivor" kind of show just sounded so fun! It ended up being a slight let down. I applaud the author for incorporating mental health and anxiety--I, too, was someone whose grades dropped in college because of anxiety much like the MC--but I didn't care for how it was written in this book. Maybe there are others out there who will relate better than I did but it wasn't for me. And I'll say again--Finn for the absolute win in this book! He was an excellent male character and book boyfriend.

Book Review:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
College isn’t going the way Natalie Hart envisioned it! Overcome with anxiety, her grades have suffered and resulted in the loss of her scholarship. So when she sees an opportunity to win $100,000 she knows she has to jump at it. The only problem, it requires her to participate in a reality show while hiking the Appalachian Trail (AT). Will this girly-girl be able to overcome her biggest fears and insecurities, or will she be forced to drop out of college and return home to parents who don’t understand her?
I loved this book!!! As someone who enjoys both hiking and reality tv equally, it was the perfect combination. It quenches my thirst for adventure without having to leave the confines of my cozy home.
This book is perfect for fans of:
-grumpy/ sunshine
- opposites attract
-mental health representation
-outdoor adventures
-YA romance
Special thanks to Netgalley, Delacorte Romance, and Kaitlyn Hull for allowing me to read this book in exchange for my honest feedback.

This was a cute book but I just couldn't give it a 5 stars :( -sorry
We have the grumpy x sunshine troup within an adventure of a reality show
Natalie and Finn are on a reality show and end up getting paired up.
I loved Natalie and how she was so friendly and outgoing trying to make the best of everything. She was very relatable.
Then we have Finn, who ohmygosh I wanted to slap at one point bc he was being so rude. Thank goodness for character development.
Maybe the reason I couldn't get into this book as much as I should have is bc it was based on reality TV and I am not really a fan of it.
This book def has some heavy topics in it, just a heads up.
I think it is worth a read.

I really enjoyed this one. I loved Finn, and I was quick to judge Natalie as well (I mean, makeup while hiking... come on girlie!). It was a fun story to follow as well as these characters and seeing them develop!

Cute read, reality show type of book, rom-com with cute young adult aspects, slow build relationship and mental health aspects
This one was really cute overall a good read and perfect for a beach day or relaxing. If you’re a fan of rom-com I HIGHLY recommend and the characters are likable. I found myself laughing out loud at some parts.
My first impression of Natalie is she’s over the top, excessive, and a bit obnoxious. But as you get to understand and know why she is the way she is, as for Finn he’s a cutie. Shy and quiet until you meet him and his dad jokes.
I’ll be checking out more books by this author in the future

Oh my gosh!! I loved this book!!! An amazing YA Sweet Romance! I'll definitely be recommending it to people!💜💜

I thoroughly enjoyed this story! Like Fin, I definitely judged Natalie at first, with the makeup while hiking, etc but the story was so fun, and had good depth to it. I found myself not wanting to put the book down, and read most of it in one sitting.

This book was a sweet and fun read! This is more geared toward teens which I didn't realize, but had some of my favorite tropes! Grumpy x sunshine and opposites attract. The author was able to portay a sweet little love story that's the perfect pallet cleanser for in between books! A super easy read and a fun one!

Look, I think Kaitlyn Hill's brand of cute and funny romcoms are just exactly my speed, alright? I loved Love From Scratch — and some of the important conversations brought up within about harassment within the workplace and being an online persona dealing with hate / parasocial relationships — and this book followed that same sort of path.
Please appreciate that unintentional-at-first-but-I'm-keeping-it pun.
Anyway! This time our backdrop is a survivor type reality show, but we also get a lovely look on how grief can sneak up on you when you least expect it. How it's an important part of you that is okay to share with people close to you. How anxiety doesn't have to completely control your life and make you weak. And I know maybe that sounds heavy for a romance book, but I promise that it didn't feel that way while reading it. Did I get a bit misty-eyed when Natalie would talk about her grandmother or Finn about his dad? Sure. But they were always in the context of looking back fondly on these memories full of love, so the context wasn't really sad. I promise, this book doesn't come off feeling overly sad (and I've been super sensitive to that stuff since losing my grandfather and have tried my hardest to avoid books with heavy topics, so take my words with a little weight, at least!).
The daily challenges for the reality show aspect of this were super fun to read about as well. I loved watching Natalie get to be in her element with horseback riding, or Finn acing the trivia challenge, or Natalie helping a "rival" contestant with a challenge that she was scared of to pay back that team helping her previously — and seeing beautiful friendships bloom out of that. The adventures were both entertaining and heartwarming so many times!
Kaitlyn Hill really does just have a special touch when it comes to feel-good romcoms, and I'm always going to be on the lookout for her books in the future. (Plus, cool to see that this one tied back into Love From Scratch in the tiniest way too! I haven't read Not Here To Stay Friends yet, though I have it downloaded and hope to get to it soon, but curious to see if that ties in to either of these as well! Love when authors make their own tiny 'cinematic universes', if you will.)

This was a super fun rom-com set on the Appalachian Trail and as part of a reality show for college co-eds that totally fit the vibe of the Amazing Race. This was fun and had a lot of depth as it delete with anxiety and grief in a well done way. I really enjoyed this one! Thank you netgalley for this arc in exchange for my honest opinion.

3.5 stars- This was a fun, no-spice grumpy-sunshine romance. I initially wasn’t sure about the main character, but she quickly grew on me. I would have probably preferred the main characters to be just a handful of years older, but considering the plot, I understood why they were only 19. The level of “spice” felt very appropriate for the age of the characters. The plot was fun, funny and a little suspenseful at times and I appreciated how the main character’s mental health was discussed. I enjoyed that although this was a standalone book, it did have characters from the author’s first book. I would definitely be interested in reading books featuring some of the side characters.
Thank you to NetGalley and Random House- Delacorte for providing me access to this eARC for my honest opinion!
