Bold, Beautiful, and Brilliantly Bittersweet
Twice a Duchess picks right up where the Roxburys left off—venturing deeper into high-stakes Regency scandal and sizzling romance. Anne Roxbury, now the Duchess of Westmoure, and her son Sterling (“Sar”) are navigating their new status amid racist whispers from the Ton and political intrigue that rivals any spy drama. As their shipping empire is accused of trafficking and the bodies start piling up, the family—and their allies, including the ever-loyal Berkley—must move fast to protect their name, their legacy, and their hearts. What I loved: the mix of white-hot tension and weighty themes—racism, high society hypocrisy, dangerous secrets—all wrapped in a steamy, modern-feeling romance. It’s Regency with teeth and heart. August Jade Sterling keeps the pace gripping, the characters complex, and the revelations toward the end truly earned. This one’s a standout in historical romance.

I didn't read the first book in this series, so I think I missed out on a bit of the world-building and setting, however I still throughly enjoyed Twice a Duchess. A spicy historical romance, Sterling does an amazing job of incorporating the historical elements of this time and balancing it with a romance that feels modern, equal, and interesting! I also found the plot twists to be pleasantly timed and not at all predictable.
Thank you to Girl Friday Productions, Krystal Kat Press, and NetGalley for providing an ARC!

So enjoyable! Perfect romance for those times when you need an escape from life. A delightful read that I will look forward to enjoying again.

Life is hard. Romance novels should be an escape of sweet proportions. August Jade writes them exactly that way.
No, I’m won’t say how or what happens.., but this book is a hug that lasts as long as you read/remember it.
