I LOVE origami and actually include it in multiple lessons I teach, so I was excited to see this book. I had never heard of this show, so didn't actually realize the target audience. That said, I thought the book was great! I love the idea of connecting the projects to the episodes, but I thought some were a big stretch to make the connection. Also, the book audience seems quite young, and yet the projects were complicated - it will be a great bonding experience for adults/kids but there should be more of a "warning" that this is not a book kids could do by themselves.

This was a very engaging book! I have been practicing origami for a few decades and I appreciate the clear visual instructions for folding. A big bonus is that all of the characters seem really cute! The origami books from when I was a kid are pretty sterile. With that said I think the included project ideas are fantastic. My thanks to netgalley and Global Tinker for a digital review copy.

This book has caused so many happy faces in my house that it's hard to say which part of the book was loved most. We've read and reviewed each project, sometimes thay come out great, sometimes we all get a good giggle out of the results. Most of all, it's a book of projects that the family does together, which, as they say, is priceless.

The Paper Girls Show presents a fun way to learn how to origami.
In a book for all ages, readers will learn how to follow over twenty different shapes.
Includes QR codes that link to parts of episodes, fun tips and facts, and a heap of colourful paper in prints and patterns.
This book would be great as a gift for endless fun.

First of all, I love all kinds of paper crafts. Always did, always will. Origami is a craft I always wanted to master, but have failed miserably so far. Most of the instructions I’ve seen are so overly complicated that I was not able to follow them. So what’s better than a kids version?! If I can’t do this, then there is no hope for origami and me… 🥹

I liked the concept of this one. The show is totally unknown to me, but I think the idea is great, teaching creativity combined with valuable lessons.

This was surprisingly long and thorough, which I really appreciated. Seeing that the age group was aged six and up, I expected something a lot shorter.
First of all we got to meet the characters, which was nice, because as said, I never heard of them before. Following was an introduction of the symbols and the folding techniques. The symbols were simple enough, that gave me hope.

The drawings in general were large enough to clearly see what was demanded. First there was a tiny story and then came the folding instructions. The origami’s were funny and some designs I haven’t seen before. I especially liked the ghost. 👻

The rest of the book contained colourful papers which h are apparently removable. Super handy when you have no access to the right size of paper. The images were also super pretty. The last pages contained stickers.

I think it’s an age appropriate book and pretty to look at. I really enjoyed reading through it and trying some folding techniques. I would definitely recommend this for the age group and people like me who have trouble following instructions 🤓😜
