As someone who loves reality tv and romance, this was such a unique twist! I was hooked from the beginning and found myself getting lost in the story and the "show" that Olivia and Chuck were on. I loved having Olivia's POV and getting to experience her character growth. I do wish there was a little bit more tension and longing, as well as a stronger connection between the main characters in the beginning of the book to make it clear they belong together, but this was still such a fun read! I would definitely recommend this and read more from the author.

I’ve never read a game show romance before so this book was super interesting! Two exes who hate each other are locked together in a house. If they make it a month, they leave with a million dollars each.
Things I liked about this book
-the relationship between Olivia and her grandma was super cute
-lots of chemistry between the main characters
-Chuck had an extremely supportive family. I loved his sister and parents!
-interesting plot with the game show aspect
-the characters do grow a lot and you can see them working on themselves and working through things
Things I disliked
-in my opinion, Chuck isn’t super likeable. You learn more about him as the book goes along and he gets better but I didn’t want to root for him at the beginning
-the game show host is just a mean person. I feel like game show hosts are usually supposed to be at least somewhat likeable but I did not like him at all
-following up on the host being mean, the game show itself did a couple of things that I did not love that also felt just mean. Some of it tied in with the host but some were initiated by the producers
-I got a little whiplash at how quick things changed at the end
Overall I enjoyed this book. It was a little different than the normal romances I read, so it was able to keep my attention. It was also a super quick and easy read

I thoroughly enjoyed this rom com! The banter between Chuck and Olivia was well written and made me laugh. The character development in this book was chef’s kiss! Well worth the read. Thank you NetGalley and Penguin Group Dutton!

This book was so enjoyable! The premise was so fun, the characters were quite lovely, and the entire book was a big, fast paced fun surprise!

Really loved this book!
The backstories of both the FMC and MMC were both well thought out, played into their dynamic as a couple and was setup in a concise way that went along with the entire plot of the book. I also loved how each main character had a little twist to their stories as well.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would recommend!

I absolutely loved this book. Like read it all in one sitting, couldn’t put it down loved it. The chemistry between Chuck and Olivia was off the charts. It had all the things I love. Banter galore. Forced proximity. Only one bed. Second chance romance. THE TENSION! I will never look at my pantry the same way again.
I went in thinking this was going to just be a fluffy and easy read. I absolutely did not expect to feel all the feelings and get so attached to these characters. The pacing was perfect. Nothing felt forced or rushed. There were even a few surprises I did not predict.
Mansi ate. Give her her own book!
An absolute 5 star read for me!

Olivia and Chuck have chemistry—too much chemistry, perhaps. After a huge fight, they break up for good. But someone was filming their dramatic argument and because Olivia’s parents were Hollywood royalty and Chuck’s a rising actor, the video goes viral. When Name Your Price, a reality game show, sees the footage, they invite Olivia and Chuck to shoot a very unusual challenge: live locked in a house together for one month and they will be each paid a million dollars. Olivia really needs the money if she's going to keep her grandmother in her nursing home. So the game is on—even as the show tries to pluck every nerve with only one bed, one bathroom, and a set of rules that will lose them money if broken. With stakes that have never been higher and their explosive chemistry at a fever pitch, can Chuck and Olivia keep it together for one month?
Thank you so much @netgalley, @hellohollyjames, and @duttonbooks for the ARC! Holly James is the queen of Hollywood/superstar romcoms full of heart and this book was a fun one! This was a super entertaining and quick read for me and I was laughing out loud at many of the fiery fights between Chuck and Olivia. Forced proximity always makes for some dramatic and also steamy moments, and I loved how the relationship between Chuck and Olivia was rekindled. Their dialogue and banter was delicious and they had such great chemistry. I don’t usually enjoy second chance romances, but I found the trope in this book much more enjoyable as it really provided an insight into two imperfect people learning to understand one another and how to be present and love their partner despite differences. I also really loved Olivia’s back story and how she was able to learn more about her parents’ past and their story. And the grandma! She was adorable. Name Your Price will be the perfect summer read and it comes out July 30!

I had to go check my reviews of the author's other two books, because I remember them not having any sexy times, and this was a giant tease all of the way through and it was definitely open door. I'm here for it, I have no problems with it, I was just surprised from the departure. The last two books made it seem like an afterthought, but this one has it front and center.
This book is almost two separate books. We have the premise with the reality TV show, then we have the part where the lessons are learned and it seems almost more important than the first 3/4 of the book. I think I've noticed that the female characters have stuff to figure out while the males seem to have most of their lives together in her books. Male characters are more emotionally intelligent and ready for relationships. I'm not sure I like Olivia. There. I said it. Why is she the age she is and she's just finding out about her past? That makes her seem like not a very good reporter, especially if it's to be believed that people start talking and telling stories once she knows the truth? That many people can't keep secrets.
My first thought was I finished this book was "ooo tell me more". I wanted to know more about Astrid and how she and Olivia continue their relationship. I want to know what else Olivia tackles in her career. I want to know about Chuck's parents and Olivia's grandmother. Basically, I didn't want it to end.
Great read and I still can't wait to read more by this author! Thank you to Netgalley, Penguin Group Dutton, the author and her team for an early copy.

Name Your Price has a cute concept that I think it took full advantage of, and if you are looking for a quirky modern romance I think this would absolutely be a great book for you.
We open with a fight gone viral between Chuck, an actor who is struggling after being fired from a big movie, and Olivia, the daughter of a legacy actress who wants to stay as far away from the media as possible after her parents’ deaths (and the scandal around her birth). Naturally going viral isn’t great for Olivia but when a reality show offers a whole lot of money for her and Chuck to stay in a house together for 30 days, neither one of the exes can turn it down. We see the mystery of why Chuck was fired, what really happened in the scandal around Olivia’s parents, and what the reality show will throw at the ex couple all come to head in this book.
I did think we skimmed the surface of everything leading to a quick wrap up but the concept was so unique and well done I can get past that to accept this book as the light rom-com it is. If you’re looking for an easy and entertaining book, pick this one up.

3.5⭐️
Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for the ARC in exchange for and honest review.

A must read rom-com if you love great banter and forced proximity! I couldn't put this book down and was rooting for Olivia and Chuck right away. The story takes off immediately and grips you right until the end.

The premise of this book is a good idea but sadly it wasn't for me. There were too many cliches in the beginning of the book, and it was too predictable. The first chapter i feel like was good at establishing the characters hate for each other and I get that the sexual tension is supposed to be showcased but i feel like there was just too much sex incorporated overall. I wasn't able to finish the book, but I can see this being a popular book, sadly it just wasn't my cup of tea.

Olivia and Chuck were adorable. I absolutely loved reading this book. Olivia was a very likable protagonist and did not annoy me at all. She was written very well. Chuck was an amazing love interest and so considerate to Olivia. Time and time, he never pissed me off and though Olivia was the one screwing up their relationship by running away, I was unable to hate her or him.

I absolutely loved this story! This slow-burn, enemies to lovers, second chance romance (with a bit of spice!) kept me captivated from start to finish. The chemistry between Chuck and Olivia jumped off the pages for me and kept enticing me to read just one more chapter (even though I'd said "one more chapter" two chapters ago and it was way past my bedtime). Olivia's internal struggles felt very relatable and real, while Chuck's character arc was beautiful. The conclusion was touching and fulfilling. It was one of those books I hugged at the end because I loved it so much!
Overall, this was a very unique and fun story, and I highly recommend this one. I look forward to reading more Holly James in the future!

I really enjoyed the first 80% of this book. I thought the premise was unique - while I’ve read (and loved) a bunch of reality show or second chance romances, this was the first that combined it in this way. It was VERY angst and slow burn, but the author did a great job not making it feel boring or repetitive.
I didn’t love the back half. I though the reality show exit was underwhelming and a disappointing and abrupt finish. I also had a hard time rooting for the MCs to get together - it felt like they really only had good chemistry, but on an emotional and partner level didn’t mesh. And for the conclusion with Olivia’s parents, it was interesting but felt really rushed.

Holly James' books always give me something to think about and make me laugh/cry/emote!! This book was no exception. And the title is perfect!

LOVE!!!!! The plot was amazing and I read it in one sitting. Olivia and Chuck are likable characters. The pacing of the book was perfect and kept me wanting more. I can’t wait to read more by this author!

If you had to live under the same roof as your ex for a million dollars would you do it?
👀😱🥰💞😳😈🥹😍
my answer is absolutely fucking not, but it was cute to read about it 🥰
“please, liv. i’m losing my mind. i’m going to die if i can’t touch you.”

the tension and chemistry between Olivia and Chuck were to die for!! i’m absolutely obsessed with them!!! the banter, the tension, and pining shesshhhh sign me up!
I would 1000000% recommend this book looking for a fun read that loves watching reality tv ! i was hooked from the beginning and i got the vibes of the movie “ps i love you” opening scene 😭🫶🏻

-reality tv shows/rom coms
-second chance romance
-he falls first
-forced proximity
-fantastic banter

While I enjoyed the premise of this book and how some scenarios were played out, I found the love between the maim characters to be a bit juvenile. They are both almost 30, but you would never know that from how they acted sometimes, especially Olivia. Like, I get that you have a tragic history with your parents and the trauma of being in the Hollywood spotlight when you want your life to be private, but she honestly reacted very childlishly in some parts. Otherwise, it was a quick, cute, feel-good read, nothing special.

Olivia and Chuck's story is unique, funny and engaging! From the moment we meet them during their very public, viral-video breakup all the way through the ensuing conflicts and character development, their chemistry and internal motivations brought their story to life. The elements of forced proximity, second-chance romance and a really fun game show concept pair well with the unfolding backstories that both Chuck and Olivia have. There were twists and turns that kept me turning the page even when I found myself wondering how I managed not to see what was coming next!
I would have liked to see a little more depth to the game-show portion of the plot, but the ending was enjoyable nonetheless, even though the last portion of the book felt a tad slow. As well developed and emotionally interesting as the characters were, I was hoping for more "show-don't-tell" storytelling, and it fell flat in this area compared to the interesting plot idea and character depth.
This is a 3.5 for me.
