Wow wow wow what a unique and entertaining romcom✨
Olivia and chucks chemistry was amazing through this whole story, even when they were butting heads✨
great banter and pretty steamy 💖✨
I love the idea of a Love island/ big brother kind of story line! Reality Tv crossing over into book form was such a fun read✨
Second chance romance/ lovers to enemies to lovers ✨
Really got me in the mood for more romcoms in this style ✨

I loved the Story of Chuck and Olivia. It starts out as the two are in a terrible fight between the two and a break up. Of course who wants to start a book out that way? When you are famous - like these two are but in completely two different ways - it is kind of inevitable. A TV show sees a video that someone had posted of the fight online which is because it went viral. They want them to come on a show where they have to live together. The main theme is they are wanting them to get back together - objective they cannot leave the house or they lose the money. Do you think they can do? Or do you think they have too many differences? 🤔 What drew them together in the first place? And what inevitable tore them apart in the beginning? So many questions you are wondering .... You should definitely pick up the book and find out what happens between Chuck and Olivia! Let me know what you think of the two.

4 stars out of 5.
I really liked the premise of this book with the reality tv show and "Hollywood stars". It truly was very original and I don't think I have read anything like it. The book kept me engaged from the beginning and I really enjoyed how the book ended. Everything was wrapped up nicely. Now for the characters, I could not stand Olivia sometimes. It was so frustrating reading about her and how she kept running away from everything. Chuck was just an ok character but I really did like Olivia's best friend. Overall, I adored this book and am looking forward to reading more from Holly James.
In Name Your Price, we get to see Chuck and Olivia have an explosive break up that happened to be caught on camera. The video goes viral and they are both approached to be on a reality tv show. They will each get 1 million dollars if they can live in a house together for 1 month. They can't leave the house or they will lose. Also, there are another set of rules they must follow in order to win. Olivia and Chuck have explosive chemistry so will they be able to win the challenge? Read it to find out!
Thank you Netgalley and PENGUIN GROUP Dutton for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This is the romcom to read right now. I enjoyed the fact that this book actually made me laugh out loud! I didn’t connect with the characters at first but once in the house together I really enjoyed the fmc and connected to her more. This was such a cute and quick read.

I was so pleasantly surprised at how much I loved this book! Holly James did a fantastic job with this! The plot was great! I read the synopsis and it sounded great but I had some doubts going in. By the halfway mark I didn’t put it down again until I was finished. It’s been awhile since I felt the way this romcom had me feeling. Olivia and Chuck were both likable characters. The progression of the show and learning more about them was paced perfectly. The book didn’t end when the show was over which I loved because that would have just felt so rushed. It definitely didn’t end how I expected it but I couldn’t have come up with a better ending if I tried. I really had fun reading this and I will definitely be looking out for more books by this author in the future!

Name Your Price follows Olivia, a writer, and Chuck, an up-and-coming actor, as they are thrown into the media spotlight after being recorded breaking up in public. They're offered an opportunity to go on a reality tv show to win $1 million if they can manage to coexist in a house together for a whole month - without internet or physical contact and a handful of challenges thrown their way. The stakes are high and their chemistry even higher, making the storyline of this book a nonstop entertaining ride. If you love reality tv, second chance romance and enemies to lovers tropes, you will really enjoy this adorable contemporary rom com.
Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin Group Dutton for gifting me this ARC in exchange for my honest review! This is my first Holly James book and will absolutely not be my last. I adored everything about this book - the storyline, the way it was written, the characters... every bit of it I completely devoured in one sitting and couldn't get enough. Name Your Price is one of my new favorite reads!

Thank you to NetGalley and PENGUIN GROUP DUTTON for this e-ARC in exchange for my honest review.
This book is expected to release July 30, 2024.
A different twist on your typical Hollywood/celebrity romance. We start out by witnessing an explosive break-up between the daughter of a famous 30-year-old scandal, Olivia, and recently fired actor, Chuck. A video of their break-up is leaked and goes viral, prompting an offer for them to star in a reality show called "Name Your Price". The two must live in a house together for one month while being watched around the clock. However, there's a catch! The two must not have any physical contact and of course, the producers are meddling to entice the two. Think "Too Hot to Handle" but with additional challenges (being handcuffed while building furniture, etc).
I had a difficult time with this one for a few reasons...
1) The premise is SO FUN. The execution was underwhelming. I had trouble connecting with the characters, and I found them (moreso Chuck) extremely unlikeable. Chuck, for a lack of a better phrase, gave me the ick. I never could find him trustworthy and I kept expecting some great big twist like in a thriller with him.
2) The reality show elements really could be amped up - give me more tension build-up, give more challenges that spice it up! It was lacking for me.
3) One of the the 'big reveals' at the end...wasn't a big reveal. It was regurgitated from a prior chapter. Some of the same words & phrasing, too. I think the first moment should have been eliminated so the whole backstory & reveal had its moment to shine.
4) I don't entirely buy the chemistry these two have together. It sounds like they just like to fight & makeup...I don't buy that the time they spent in the house and the minimal meddling interviews they had really sparked that much realization that they do in fact want to build a foundation.
All this to say...I'd totally watch this show. I love messy reality TV and especially "Too Hot to Handle"!

Thanks NetGalley for my ARC! I really liked the pacing and premise of the novel… I couldn’t put it down. Having said that, I wasn’t as invested in the characters as I would’ve liked to have been!!!! I think Name Your Price would’ve benefited from a duel p.o.v. Only because there were some question marks I had around Chuck and his motivations. Overall, a truly satisfying read and I enjoyed, it but would’ve liked to see the characters’ prior relationship flushed out a little more.

Thank you NetGalley and PENGUIN GROUP for an advance copy of this book in exchange for a review.
I initially wasn't sure how the whole reality tv show plot was going to play out, but I thoroughly enjoyed this book! It was something refreshing that I had not seen previously. The back and forth between the characters kept me turning the pages for hours on end. Olivia's and Chick's chemistry was off the charts! I highly recommend this read.

Let's talk about this cover! Oh how i love the look and colors of this cover. First read by this author and it did not disappoint.
Was such a great feel good read and the plot and characters were awesome. The main character chemistry made the whole book. I loved the flashbacks from the start of their relationship and it made the characters seem real and made the feelings between the two just phenomenal.
I cannot wait for this author to write more i will read anything she writes. Just wonderful.
Thanks NetGalley for letting me read and review.

I loved this book! It was such a fun read that I smiled all the way through it! The chemistry between Olivia and Chuck and the development of their relationship throughout the story from was perfect. I'm a big fan of reality tv, so the concept of the two characters trapped together was really fun for me. And I loved the flashbacks to the start of their relationship that brought some tenderness in with the heat. I can't wait to explore more books from this author.

Such a heartwarming HEA. The author describes herself as loving telling stories with big hearts and that’s exactly what this is. While some parts felt a little long and drawn out it was so cute. Would recommend for the big heart feelings.

This was heavily expositional and still didn’t feel like the plot had kicked off by the end of chapter 2 (9%). Not for me. Probably three to four stars from the target audience.
Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin for the ARC.

This romance book comes off almost like a love letter to reality TV. If you’ve ever been interested in getting a glimpse behind the scenes of filming reality TV, this book did a great job at describing outrageous situations and bringing the main characters Olivia and Chuck together. Spanning over a week, you get to see just how much these two characters love one another and just needed to communicate/learn how to co-exist better together to confront their problems head on.
The chapters were really long but the bantering was tastefully done and helped distract from their length. I really wish the author had picked another name for Chuck. Who actually knows a sexy Chuck in real life?
Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin Group / Dutton for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Olivia, the daughter of an infamous Hollywood couple, and Chuck, an up and coming actor, have intense chemistry but they’re better at making up then being stable partners for one another. After their very dramatic break up is caught on camera and goes viral, the pair is approached by a reality tv show. If they can survive a whole month sequestered in a house together they’ll earn a massive prize.
With the mounting costs of caring for her beloved grandma and his stalled acting career, Olivia and Chuck agree. What could go wrong?
I was hooked from the beginning and binged this book in a day. I’m not a reality tv viewer and was worried that might work against my enjoyment of the stunt it didn’t at al. Watching Olivia and Chuck go from fighting WITH each other to fighting FOR each other was fantastic.
Beyond the MC’s romance, Name Your Price touches on some serious issues within Hollywood such abuse of power and not correcting narratives that serve someone’s career interests.
The storyline dealing with Olivia’s parents was interesting and felt fresh, however its conclusion felt a bit too rushed and tidy.
This is a solid 4 ⭐️ read for me and I’m so glad I was given an advance copy. Thank you NetGalley and Dutton.

name your price takes all of the rom com/reality tv fantasies you've ever had and brings them alive through olivia and chuck, two people who have gone viral from a public breakup video. instead of moving on for good, when approached with a reality tv show to put them together in a house, olivia can't say no because the prize money for if they last will be enough to make sure her grandmother can get the care she needs.
i will admit i wasn't the biggest fan of james' previous novel as the plotting wasn't the best, but because olivia and chuck are truly are the forefront i didn't mind as much (although the plot point with astrid was underdeveloped with a reveal that felt anticlimatic as it just repeated information the audience already knew). i don't know if james' background in psychology is clinical, but the way olivia and chuck grew together by learning how to communicate with each other warmed my cynical heart. it never veers in the territory of the two of them hurting each other on purpose either because both are truly just trying their hardest in earnest.

Entertaining story by Holly James about a second chance at love and the truth that comes with love (both with a partner and with family). Quick read. Nice plot. Quality characters.

DROP EVERYTHING AND READ THIS!!
I loved this entire storyline from the first page to the last! Olivia and Chucks relationship is one wild ride and I rooted for them every step of the way!! I couldn't seem to put this book down. It was such a quick and cute read with some of the cutest characters.. I also wish that when I am older, I have a friendship like Violet and Ruby.
But also... can we talk about how Astrid Larson gave me hardcore Evelyn Hugo vibesss! I need a whole novel just for her and her story 😩
Holly James did the dang thing with this one and I loved everything about it! Perfect book to start 2024 off 😊

This was such an original story! I haven't read anything like this before and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Olivia and Chuck have a high and love flaming hot relationship and they recently broke up. Someone recorded their breakup and the media caught them fighting, and they were signed up to do a reality TV show. It was a mix of Big Brother and some kind of couples therapy show!
It was so entertaining watching them being forced to live together and complete tasks with their dynamic.
This story had many ups and downs but tied up nicely in a super happy ending! I really enjoyed this book.
Halfway through, I was struggling to root for the MMC - I didn't think he deserved our FMC, but he does redeem himself!!
Thank you, PENGUIN GROUP Dutton, and NetGalley, for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin Group Dutton for the ARC of this book. I really liked this one. For the majority of the book, it was exactly what I expected in that it was a fun lighthearted rom com. I felt like the ending had a little more depth than the beginning. I didn't feel like there was quite enough character development for the two main characters but I still found them likeable.
The general premise is that two exes end up being the subjects of a reality show where they are locked in a house together to earn prize money after a video of their breakup goes viral. They then find their way back to each other. If you like rom coms I think it's worth the read. It was fun!
