The description of this story drew me in and I quickly knew I made an excellent choice. Once I started, I had a hard time putting it down.
Olivia and Chuck go viral for their public break up recorded by a stranger. Next thing you know, they are on a reality show, trying to make it a month in the same house with each other for a big $$ payout.
It is an entertaining story filled with challenges that come from reality tv and navigating relationship and family drama. The background of each character really adds to their development throughout the book. I was hooked from start to finish. The premise of this story was unlike any I have read so far and I think that made it all the more enjoyable. It didn’t feel “cookie cutter” like a lot of romance novels can. This was my first novel by Holly James and I can’t wait to read more from her.
Thank you NetGalley for access to this ARC in exchange for a honest review.

Two things that are simultaneously true about this book: (1) the entire plot and setup are preposterous, and pretty much nothing about the setup, middle, or resolution is believable; and (2) this book was a ton of fun and I enjoyed the whole ride. Relatively well written, definitely escapism, makes me want a trip to LA but NOT to be on any reality shows.
I received a free ARC of this novel from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to NetGalley and Dutton Books for allowing me to read this ARC.
I had so much fun with this one! I have been struggling with my romance books recently and this one was the breath of fresh air I've been seeking. The plot line was fun and it didn't feel as formulaic and predictable as other romances.
Olivia and Chuck were two likable characters. In the beginning I wasn't so sure about their seemingly toxic relationship. As the story unfolded and the two found themselves stuck in a house together as part of a reality TV show, we really got to know them and their relationship. I loved how we slowly learned more and more about them and how when you dug deeper, their bond was may more than physical. I especially enjoyed how things played out in the house and how the "show" portion concluded. Not what I would have expected (in a good way!).
I felt like the book wrapped up nicely too. It wasn't a quick get back together, get married, the end in 10 pages. The author gave us more detail about how their lives developed after the show and how things played out for both of them.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book and I look forward to checking out some other titles by Holly James!

This is a cute second chance romantic comedy. Olivia and Chuck have a big public blow up that someone captured on film. This video goes viral, and a reality tv show sees the footage and invite Olivia and Chuck to film for their show. This was giving The bachelor vibes and I always enjoy when tv shows are included in books storylines. I LOVED the tension and the banter between the two. If you are one who enjoys romance books without a lot of smut you will enjoy this.
My only main complaint is I didn’t like that this was written in 3rd person. I wish we had dual POVS.
Thank you NetGalley and Penguin Group Dutton for this ARC in exchange for an honest review. ♥️⭐️

I am a new fan of Holly James and I was so excited for this book. It was such a wonderful read!
Recap:
Olivia Martin is the child of Hollywood Royalty, and since her parent's died young in an accident, Olivia has avoided the limelight. Instead, she writes celebrity stories for an LA magazine. Through one of her interviews she meets Chuck Walsh, an up-and-coming actor and they immediately had chemistry - maybe a bit too much of it. Their very dramatic breakup is recorded and uploaded to social media, throwing them both in the public's eye. This brings up a unique opportunity for them both - to participate in the game show Name Your Price, where they have to live together for a month and not touch each other (or kill each other) and they each get a million dollars. Olivia needs this money to support her grandmother. Chuck wants to get Olivia back.
Will they survive this and get the price at the end?
Review:
This book was a rollercoaster from the beginning and I was here for the ride. I loved the sparks between the main characters - seeing their relationship ups and downs and how much they felt for each other. Both have so much love and passion for each other, but sometimes you just need to be placed in the same room for along time to be able to work things out. I really enjoyed seeing their characters develop and figure out who they are together and on their own. I continue to be a huge fan of Holly James and everything she writes. Highly recommended!

This was so fun! My first by this author, definitely won’t be my last. It’s a very sweet story and I can see it being very popular when it’s released.

thank you netgalley for gifting me this arc in exchange for a review. i just finished this and it's 1am, if that tells you anything about my thoughts on this book. it was completely addicting from the first line. the writing was refreshing and the plot was so different from anything id ever read. i really enjoyed the banter, and it was a new setting for me. i honestly wasn't too sure how the reality show plot line would hit for me but i really enjoyed it. the forced proximity was so good and i simply couldn't put the book down from the first chapter (i didn't even realize how long they were until the end of the book). i loved charlie (i refuse to call him chuck. my only complaint about this book was his name), he was such a sweet loveable character that i loved getting to know. olivia was someone i heavily related to and also loved meeting. i highly recommend if you're looking for something light hearted that still has characters with depth and personality.

I enjoyed this book a lot. It's a fast paced read-in-one-day book. It was really funny. I really enjoyed the characters also! I just hope that they continue to communicate.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this arc in exchange for an honest review!

Name Your Price was a witty, fun read - hard to put down! A binge-able read that explores all of the emotions as Chuck and Olivia find their path to each other.
I absolutely enjoyed this book & recommend it to all lovers of a great HEA.

Deducting one star only because if this couple had one actual conversation in their entire relationship, they could have avoided…. Everything?? But overall, super cute - had me giggling and kicking my feet over here.

A nice romcom palate cleanser after all the thrillers, mysteries and dramas I’ve been reading. I really felt the chemistry between these two characters. It never felt forced to me at all.

This book was so good!! i loved the tension and tenderness between Olivia and Chuck but also the drama of reality tv. all the side characters are so fun and sweet like mansi and ruby and tyler. Such a good bingeable book with great writing! the name your price concept is already so great but the whole Astrid Larsson story had me so intrigued!! loved the ending too :)

Name Your Price by Holly James has plenty of hijinks and a lot of heart, and I really enjoyed it all! The story was a little slow to get started, but once it got going, I was fully hooked and rooting for the couple. I thought the plot was unique and well executed. It had just the right amount of charm, conflict, fun, and lovable characters.

This was a fun, different twist on the Hollywood romance genre. It was an enjoyable read; I liked both main characters and their side stories, as well as the obvious chemistry and love story. The Name Your Price show seemed like the perfect mix between Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Too Hot to Handle, and True Life, which is honestly a genre that reality TV really should consider pursuing. I just would have liked a little more to each part of the story—I felt Iike Olivia’s backstory, Chuck’s work story, and their time in the house/on Name Your Price could have all deserved a few more chapters.

Thank you NetGalley and the Publishers for letting me read this advanced copy in exchange for an honest review. Name Your Price by Holly James is a cute second chance romantic comedy novel that got me out of my reading slump. There was great chemistry between Olivia Martin and Chuck Walsh along with their tension with one another. I adored this love story that had my attention from the very first chapter. My favorite part of this book was how both characters went through obstacles and how they came out of their difficult times for the better.

Thanks to Netgalley, Dutton/Penguin, and the author for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Solid romance. What I like best was the author didn’t go the obvious romance route with the climax. I appreciated the twist. Also, for as sexually charged as the couple was, this was not a smutty book at all. Would consider it closed door (or maybe a little cracked open).

This was a very bingeable and fast-paced read, it might have gotten me out of a read slump?
The chemistry and the banter between the MCs were so good, the author has done a great job of writing in their relationship without explicitly showing the reader their exact past wrt their relationship beginning and developement. I was pretty much in the headspace of the MC right from the first page.
I was legit crying at the third act conflict + the follow-up stuff 😭
The resolution and the hea were so cute! And so well-deserved!
TWs - sexual harassment in the workplace (secondary character), cheating, misinformation and harassment by the press
-- ty to the author, the publisher and Netgalley for an advanced copy!

This book was such a cute and fun read! I immediately was absorbed into the world and Olivia was such a fun main character! I loved the tension and love that these characters have for each other. All of the silly little situations they get into make this book so bingeable (I literally read it in one sitting). I highly recommend reading this book (especially if you like watching people try to fit into a pantry just for some alone time). A really fun read and I’m so excited to look at more books but this author!

2.5 stars. I love this cover and thought the idea sounded so fun, but unfortunately the execution didn’t really plan out for me. Chuck and Olivia definitely had physical chemistry but I wasn’t super attached to them or their relationship, and some parts felt rushed. I didn’t really care at all about the side storyline of Olivia’s family, which was a pretty big plot point. Some aspects of the game show annoyed me and took me out of the romance a bit.

Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin Group Dutton for the chance to read this.
I want to start off: I first experienced Holly James with Deja Glitch and LOVED it. It was such a unique story with great dialogue and B story.
Name Your Price is a complete knockout.
This story follows Olivia, a writer, and Chuck, an up and coming actor, as they navigate their fiery relationship and consider breaking up for good. They luckily (or maybe unluckily) are given the opportunity to compete for a million dollars; if they can stand to be in close proximity for one month straight. This rom-com has some of my favorite tropes (second chance romance) but also uses one of my least favorite (close proximity) and absolutely hits it out of the park. Their relationship sizzles off the page despite being at best PG-13 for nearly 3/4 of the story.
James' shines here with dialogue, banter, and most importantly facial expressions. Chuck and Olivia are pure perfection, their dialogue is snappy and completely engrossing, and you are completely engrossed in their chemistry even when the only thing happening is a jaw tick. It's that good.
The B story lines, about Hollywood and the expression of love and abandonment are really well done as well. It was just so well balanced. The steamy scenes, when they do finally happen, are pretty much perfection.
Adored. Simply adored.
