I'm not sure anything will ever top the dialogue of the Unhoneymooners, but this was an engaging rom-com from start to finish. I felt like the plot had been done before in a movie I can't remember the name of, but I enjoyed the characters and how the authors added their personal twist to the book.

Anna Green has just been fired from her gas station attendant job for stealing a pack of gum. Wallowing in debt from her father's medical bills and feeling unfulfilled in her artwork, she's at wits end. Things get way more complicated when her ex, Liam "West" Weston shows up after years of silence and states that they're still legally married. He then gives her an offer she can't refuse: pose as his still lawfully wedded wife at his sister's destination wedding and he will give her more money than she can ever fathom.

Glitzy and Fun, this is a nice Tropical read.

What a fun book this was! Christina Lauren just keep getting better with their books and I flew through this one. The Problem in the title is that West (aka Liam) is about to get access to the inheritance from his grandfather after a five-year pseudo-marriage to Anna, which she didn't even know was still a thing, AND has to attend his sister's wedding on a private island with Anna in tow. I loved watching Anna and West grow personally and together in the midst of pretending to be happily married and the banter between them was great. If I had one tiny quibble it would be that I would've liked a tiny bit more development from West just a tiny bit earlier so that I could like him as much as I loved Anna. Huge thank you to Gallery Books and NetGalley for the early access in exchange for my honest opinion. 4.5 stars

The Paradise Problem is a fun summer romance with the perfect tropical island setting. If you enjoy fake dating/marriage, forced proximity, opposites attract stories, definitely pick this one up.

This book was perfection! I loved it so much.

It was so much fun, sweet, thoughtful, and endearing. Anna and Liam were fantastic characters. I loved how they brought out the best in each other.

Anna was hilarious. I loved how she spoke her mind. She didn’t let anyone treat her as unworthy. I also wish I had her pink hair lol.

The ending was fantastic. I loved how everything came together.

I love love loved this book. Fake marriage, one bed, slightly jealous MMC. All my favorite tropes thrown together on a private island… with no way out!

This book was a perfect Christina Lauren book. It gave me the warm feelys while still having a little bit of spice. Anna was sweet and kind and genuinely funny. She felt like she could have been one of my real life friends. And Liam/West was SO INCREDIBLY SWEET. I loved how he was obviously so protective of Anna.

I also really appreciated the third act breakup. It was realistic and didn’t feel like it came out of left field. There was no miscommunication, just a couple who is fake married, figuring it out. I just really appreciated that it didn’t feel false or weird.

If you need a summer romance this book is perfect! This writing duo is phenomenal and I loved the island setting of this book. It is a great beach read and I loved the writing.

This book left me with lots of Unhoneymooners vibes! I wish there was a bit more individual character development and back story with both Anna and Liam but the tension between the two characters was definitely evident. It was often tough to get my bearings on the details leading up to their paradise situation. Overall, it was another great Christina Lauren read!

The Paradise Problem was my second book by Christina Lauren and it won't be my last. This writing duo is phenomenal and I loved the island setting of this book. Perfect for summer. Can't wait to read more from this duo.

I love Christina Lauren's books and this one was no exception. The premise of this one was hilarious with the fake marriage in college years still being in effect years later and the couple struggling to pretend they were together all that time. I enjoyed seeing Anna and Liam/West's relationship evolve. They really supported each other and stood up for one another and it was just a lot of fun to read about.

My first time reading works by the authors, and it did not disappoint! This would be the perfect beach read for sure.

“The Paradise Problem" is a delightful escape filled with Christina Lauren's signature wit and charm. Anna and Liam's fake-marriage scheme for a hefty inheritance is equal parts hilarious and heartwarming. Their undeniable chemistry crackles off the page, making their journey of rediscovering old feelings both fun and emotional. The island setting adds a touch of luxury and escapism, perfect for summer reading. I couldn't put it down!

Loved the couple, hated everyone around them.

This was such a mixed bag for me. I loved the marriage of convenience trope, which was pretty much doubled as the first time the divorce wasn't official, and now Liam needs Anna to pose as his wife again. I loved both Anna and Liam, but especially Anna, who was quirky but not too quirky and just really fun. This is a pretty steamy book compared to what I'm used to from Christina Lauren, which I respect.

But the plot itself? No thank you. There was such an intense amount of toxic people in this book and it made me feel tense every time one of them showed up on the page. I almost felt like I was reading a thriller and was almost waiting for a corpse to show up. This made reading start to feel tedious for me around halfway through, which was a shame, because I did love the scenes between Anna and Liam.

This book was so fun! Definitely a must for summer reading, this one will be in everyone’s beach bag for sure. It had a very nice mixture of comedy and romance all wrapped up in a perfect summer setting. Behind Love and Other Words I think this may be my new favorite CL story! When you have a beautiful tropical setting filled with fake dating, close proximity, opposites attract, and great banter - this hit all the right spots for me. I found myself rooting for Anna and West as they dealt with West’s horrific family and the chemistry between these two was electric.

I was late to review this ARC, but picked this book up after hearing raving reviews - which were all worth the hype. This is THE book of the summer! my first Christina Lauren book, and I would recommend it as the perfect vacation read.

While not my favorite Christina Lauren book, it was still a fast, fun summer read. It is a solid 4 stars, highly recommend as a beach or poolside read. The rich people drama of it all was a perfect hit for the summer and the marriage of convenience, one bed trope was so fun. I loved the outlook and optimism of our MFC was such a breath of fresh air.

This was a great return to fine form. I loved the marriage of convenience trope used here and though Anna was a great MC. That said, while this was fun, I did need the chemistry and romance to start a bit sooner and the family drama felt a bit heavy handed for the lackluster resolution we get at the end. The mention of going to copious types of therapy, family, individual, etc just felt like a cop out for spending time actually rebuilding and potentially even forming for the first time, family relationships. Like Charlie? I know she’s meant to be the shiny golden retriever we all love but I’d write her off entirely for her actions and not standing up for Liam.

Overall, it’s a fun read but I wasn’t completely sold on the romance and I needed more from Liam and his family drama at the end.

When I received an ARC for Christina Lauren’s newest story “The Paradise Problem” I was so excited. I thoroughly enjoy reading everything Christina Lauren’s work and knew reading this story would be absolutely no different.

In the story we, the readers are introduced to the two main characters: Liam and Anna. Liam is uptight and under a lot of pressure from his father, forced to have a lot of responsibility on his shoulders. Anna is a free spirit woman who at times is a bit chaotic, but throughout the story true to herself. Back in college Anna and Liam married in name in exchange for her to receive family housing. When the end of the deal happens Anna believes she signs the divorce papers, however that was not the case when 5 years later Liam appears asking for a returned favor. Liam needs Anna to pretend to be his wife in order for Liam and his siblings to receive their trust.

With a bit of dysfunction, chaos, and forced proximity Anna and Liam may find that their fake relationship may not be as fake as they thought.

The Paradise Problem is an absolute great read and I highly recommend others to read.

I’m in the minority on this book as I didn’t find the story that original, referenced Pretty Woman. Anna annoyed me with her dialogue. Yes, she was great in looking after her dad and they had a wonderful relationship but the being so clueless after marrying her fake husband was unbelievable. The story dragged for me until the family corruption happened then it got interesting. A slow burn romance and a happily ever after ending. This is the first book by these authors I almost didn’t want to finish. 2.5 stars

This has to be the best Christina Lauren book to date! The Paradise Problem stars Anna (quirky, pink-haired, artist) and West (AKA Liam - super rich, hot bod, professor). This book has all the fun tropes: marriage of convenience, forced prominity, fake dating, opposites attract, slow burn. We also have dual point of views. Lots of laugh out loud moments! I could not put this down!
