Damnit! Christina Lauren does it again. The way her writing makes me not only live in the love story, but believe in love again is amazing. I loved Anna, with her quirky banter and fowl mouth. I love how I can see myself in Anna. Liam and Anna’s love story is epic and cheer worthy. I really did not want this book to end.

Christina Lauren does it again. While I don’t think this is her strongest title, Lauren delivers laughs and great banter in this book. It has some of your typical tropes but she writes them well and I had a great time reading them!

When you open a Christina Lauren novel, you know you’re in for a lot of laughs and even more romancing, and The Paradise Problem is no exception. When her former husband-of-convenience appears in her doorstep a few years after their ruse ended, Anna Green is surprised to say the least. He might be the heir to a multibillion dollar grocery franchise but he needs his “wife” to get his full inheritance after their five year “anniversary. Their story is funny at times, outrageous at times, and sweet throughout. I think the plot leaned a little too heavily on the Succesion-esque dynamic between Liam and his family at times, and I could have done without some of the lengthier descriptions of the setting, but overall this was a fun and engaging read. Anna and Liam’s marriage might be fake, but their chemistry certainly is not!!

Anna is married to the handsome Liam Weston..but it’s all just a ruse for an inheritance. Or is it? When on a private island for Liam’s sister’s wedding, Anna and Liam begin to develop real feelings for each other, and what originally was supposed to be a business deal has now morphed into something more. Christina Lauren always hits it out of the park with her rom-com novels and I really enjoyed this one. 4 stars!

I loved this new release from Christina Lauren!

Anna and Liam get fake married in college to gain access to subsidized housing. Now years later, Anna, the quirky artist struggling to make ends meet, and Liam, the mega grocery store chain heir may need each other again. Anna's father is sick and she is struggling to pay his medical bills, Liam told his A-List family that he has been married all along. Liam's family insists he brings his wife to his sister's tropical paradise wedding. If Liam doesn't prove he is happily married, he could lose his fortune from his grandfather's will.

This was such a great romance read colliding two different worlds trying to make their plan work and fool Liam's family. I loved both Anna and Liam as MCs, and loved seeing Liam's perspective of being part of this extremely wealthy family, but actually being down to earth and not wanting much to do with the money and prestige. And the chemistry between Liam and Anna!!! Without spoiling anything, I really enjoyed seeing them come together and how much more they had in common than what meets the eye. This book takes place on a luxury island off Indonesia, so is a perfect beach read or escape to a warmer place!

Another amazing novel by Christina Lauren!

The Paradise Problem begins with Anna’s husband moving out. The story picks up with Anna Green and her situation as a newly unemployed retail clerk who worries about how she will pay her bills as well as her father’s medical bills.

Our pink-haired protagonist soon finds herself face-to-face with the husband who left. West/Liam makes Anna a proposition that will help her financial situation, but he needs her to pretend to be his wife at his sister’s upcoming wedding. Soon enough, Anna finds herself jetting off to Singapore and catching a seaplane to a private island. She has a new luxury wardrobe, thanks to West’s American Express Black Card. West’s family is extra – extra rich, extra obnoxious, extra complicated.

I loved this story! There were some parallels to The Unhoneymooners and it had that CLo touch that readers love. Anna and West/Liam’s characters were fun to read, and the alternating perspective worked well. I can imagine a follow-up novel to pick up where The Paradise Problem ends.

In the beginning I wasn’t sure if I was going to like this one but I actually really did. The growth of Anna and Liam made this book so amazing. It is predictable at times, but the bonds and love between the characters made it special. Per usual Christina Lauren style, this book was funny, cute, had a few tear jerk moments, and was such a fun time! I love Anna and Liam and their relationship really brought out the best in each other, it was a nice breath of fresh air.

The Paradise Problem has easily become another favorite from Christina Lauren! Lauren does so well connecting you to the characters, so that you feel as if the story is about you or that you are living the story as it's happening. Anna and West take you on a paradise journey, effortlessly supporting each other through ups and downs. West's sister is getting married in Indonesia and Anna is there to play the part. In a cascade of over-the-top pre-wedding events, Anna and West are able to see the real versions of each other. Exactly the steamy read I needed in the midst of a cold winter!

I was immediately hooked, the character (Anna) is relatable and funny!! I loved the relationship between her and Liam. This book definitely had a lot of “Pretty Woman” vibes (minus the prostitution aspect) and was such a fun read. I highly recommend this one!! I could definitely see this story being modified for film.

Listen, CLo are queens of this genre, and so I was so excited and grateful to read this book! I wanted to fall in love with Anna and West, no, Liam, and though I relished reading the two of them interact on the page, this book overall was hard for me to get into (due to the plot contrivances and secondary characters). When I was finally swept up in the romance, I was more committed to reading, but it took some time!

Another fun vacation romance novel. Not my favorite Christina Lauren book, but held my attention. It was a little predictable, but still had some shocking parts to it. I will recommend this book to friends!

Super cute, fun, summertime read. I personally thought this book was pretty similar to the UnHoneymooners with a slight difference. The UnHoneymooners was my first read from Christina Lauren so it was nice to revisit this trope. I look forward to reading more of their books In the future. If you've ever Christina Lauren, you know exactly what you're getting when you pick up one of their books (although they do sometimes throw you a curveball and give you something completely unexpected). This one was not one of their unexpected books, and that's okay. There's a reason I keep coming back to these authors, and that's because I know exactly what I'm going to get and I'm going to like it. There was nothing new or stellar in this one, but it was still nice. My only complaint is that the epilogue went on for waaaaaaaay too long.

A fake marriage trope with hints of Succession, all of the spice, and a beautiful private island as the setting? Sign me UP. This was so so good. It felt like a perfect romcom, like I was watching a movie unfold as I read. I loved the main characters and the writing. It had the predictability you want from a romance but with enough intrigue and driving plot to keep you entertained throughout. Christina Lauren just keep getting better and better. Thoroughly enjoyed this one!

Well this was my first foray into reading a Christina Lauren book and it did not disappoint. This was such a fun, fast read and there was so much that I loved about the story which includes a fake marriage of convenience, friends to lovers, slow burn and dysfunctional family dynamics. The chemistry between the main characters is smoking hot and the spice is great when it finally arrives and this is a perfect beachy read.

Not sure how CLo gets better and better with every book, but here we are. This book had so much to it that I loved, divorced but not divorced, friends to lovers, horrible families, art - you name it, it was in here!

This was such a sweet book! I loved the characters, and their love story. The dialogue was realistic and enjoyable.

A fun sweet rom-com about love and family.

Anna and Liam got married in college in order to get housing. Once they graduated, divorce papers were issued. Fast forward 5 years and it turns out that artist Anna never signed them, leaving them legally married. Liam has a family wedding to go to and a inheritance issue that requires him to be married. Liam and Anna agreed to pretend till after the wedding on a private island in the tropics. The descriptions of the island and the outrageousness of the wedding are excellent. The family members characters are spot on and the chemistry between Liam and Anna is perfect. A great escape novel.

Writing duo Christina Lauren have a very specific formula. One I am very much a fan of. Paradise Problem brings the laughs, pop culture references, and witty banter that I have come to know and love. Even so this one felt a little different from their usual- in a good way. There is no instalove and it is very much a slow burn. But when the spice finally arrives it is HOT. Somewhat predictable, but hey, most Happily Ever Afters are, right? This wasn't like a deep connect with the characters type of book for me, but it's definitely the perfect beachy read. Lots of laughs, a sprinkle of spice, and a touch of heart. 3.5 stars rounded up.
