This may be my new favorite Christina Lauren book! And I’ve read almost all of them! This has their usual humor that I love in their books and it does have some spice in it which I’m very thankful for. I adored Anna and Liam so freaking much! These characters have my entire heart and I was smiling and kicking my feet so much throughout this.
This seriously may beat Love and Other Words for my favorite book of theirs and I adore that book.
Over all this was a fun, sweet, hilarious and satisfying book and I have zero complaints! Definitely check it out!
I received an arc of this book through NetGalley for my honest review.

I adored this book and the characters. Anna was too cute and I thought she could be the greatest friend. She was so much fun. I loved the differences between Anna and West. Their differences just made their relationship all the more enjoyable.

This is a hard one for me. I love Christina Lauren and their books are an automatic read for me. The premise sounded promising, if a bit reminiscent of Pretty Woman. However, I never found common ground with any of the characters or the ability to relate to them. A lot of over the top steamy scenes that almost felt like they were trying to prove the real connection between Anna and west, but to me it felt like it further proved just a physical connection/relationship. With that being said, I did like the way the story ended and how everything was wrapped up to answer all the questions and what if scenarios .
Thanks to NetGalley for the opportunity for an early read!

I just love Christina Lauren- just when I think this writing duo can’t top their newest read, they come out with another. I’ve read all of their books over recent years and this may be my favorite. I loved the unique family storyline, the complicated, loving, and steamy relationship between the two main characters, the setting, the ending, and everything in between. This book had me alternately rushing through the chapters out of curiosity, and putting it down so it wasn’t over too fast. Such a fun read- perfect for a vacation or anytime your mind needs an escape.

Christina Lauren is one of my romance novel sweet spots. Her writing is concise, cute, spicy without being overly done and the story has a good message underneath it. As expected this novel follows suit.
The two characters are a "forced proximity", "fake marriage turned real romance", and a little enemies turned lovers in the sense that they are from different background and stereotyped each other. I think this is worth the read if you are a Christina Lauren fan and I imagine this one will fly off the shelves along with her previous released books.
I love the books that aren't overly complicated.

Christina Lauren is an amazing writer, which is why I couldn't put this book down. It is a funny will they/won't they, rags to riches, overcoming family drama book that comes together perfectly.

In Christina Lauren's witty and heartwarming novel, "The Paradise Problem," Anna Green and Liam "West" Weston find themselves in a tangled web of love, deception, and unexpected consequences. The story begins with a calculated union between Anna and Liam as college students, seeking affordable housing and academic freedom. What they don't anticipate is the enduring bond that forms between them, leading to a whirlwind marriage and a hasty divorce. Years later, Anna struggles as a starving artist while Liam becomes a respected Stanford professor, seemingly far removed from the trappings of his wealthy family's business empire. However, a peculiar clause in his grandfather's will turns their lives upside down. To inherit his substantial inheritance, Liam needs to prove five years of marital bliss, a task he initially views as a mere formality. Enter Anna, Liam's unpolished and unconventional ex-wife. As they navigate the challenges of pretending to be a happily married couple, Liam's fears shift from Anna's ability to play the part to the corrosive influence of his family's wealth on her pure heart. Meanwhile, Anna grapples with her own insecurities and the realization that the love she once dismissed might still hold sway over her. As Anna and Liam navigate the treacherous waters of deception, they find themselves rediscovering the deep connection that brought them together in the first place. Lauren deftly explores the complexities of love, identity, and the sacrifices one might make to protect the ones they cherish. "The Paradise Problem" is a delightful and thought-provoking read that delves into the complexities of relationships, class dynamics, and the transformative power of love. With her signature blend of humor and poignancy, Christina Lauren has crafted a story that will resonate with readers long after they turn the final page.

I absolutely loved this book! It reminded me a lot of Succession - it is a perfect summer read. This was a marriage of convenience and you watched these two characters grow and transform. The details were beautifully described - both the actual beautiful things and the ugly truth of wealth. I appreciated the epilogue and how it wrapped things up - I hope to see more from these two!
Thank you for the ARC!

Christina Lauren strikes gold again! This duo always has such easy to read (in a positive connotation) and engaging romance stories. Anna and Liam seem authentic even though the plot situation is outlandish (and there are relatively few moments in the text that feel completely untenable). This fits right into the trope of marriage of convenience with some twists, and has a fairly predictable HEA (but I still wanted more after the epilogue).
Rounding 4.5 stars to 5.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Cute rom com beach read! Pretty Women meets Succession with a Crazy Rich Asian wedding on a private island in Indonesia. Love character development of Anna. I predict this to be a very popular 2024 book! Would make a great movie also- could definitely see it on Apple TV! I read the book in 1 day except for the epilogue. It was too long. I had to finish it the next morning. Thank you for the ARC!

If you’ve read any Christina Lauren books, this is definitely one you don’t want to miss! Anna and West find themselves in paradise, but is paradise enough? What happens when family and money get involved? Read this page turner to find out!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Although I am listed as an educator, I am also an avid reader outside of work. I have not read a Christina Lauren book that I have not enjoyed. The Paradise Problem had me reading late into the night, way past my bedtime because I wanted to see how the story ended. When it ended, I was sad that It didn't go a little further. I like the characters and how Anna coaxed Liam into realizing his true potential and that she need nothing more from him then who he was. What can I say, I am a hopeless romantic!!
The book was certainly predictable as most romance books are. This is the type of book that I am drawn to. A feel good book that will have me wanting to know more of the story!

This book was outstanding! Christina Lauren can do no wrong in my opinion! This book provided so much banter that I was chuckling throughout. Anna and Liam's story started out interesting and I loved how it unraveled. This story was so fun and the supporting characters were also so great! Anna's story was so great and I love a strong FMC that is doing what she wants in life! I typically don't like a marriage of convenience book, but this was done so well and had some fun twists. It also gave me The Wedding Date movie vibes. The character development throughout the story was done so well that there wasn't any lacking in the chemistry between Anna and Liam.

Thank you to NetGalley and Gallery Books for the ARC - I ate this up and can't wait til it releases May 24th to buy the trophy for my shelf!

What a story. Rags to riches isn’t always the answer, a will they/wont they romance sprinkled with family drama, Christina Lauren does it again. I am now working through their backlist and enjoying each one more.

Each Christina Lauren book is like a warm hug, and I feel as if a new arc is announced every time that I need it the most. I adored our artist and professor, and loved the setting and commentary on excess. As a fan of Succession and a hater of wealth, this was right up my alley. I can't wait to sell it.

The dream team that is Christina Lauren have done it again! The Paradise Problem follows Anna Green and Liam "West" Weston, who were briefly married in college in order to get subsidized family housing. They never really knew each other, and they never actually filed for divorce. Three years later and West has a problem. His sister is getting married and his parents insist he bring his wife to the wedding... at their private island. Anna didn't know West was mega-rich, but as an unemployed artist whose father has large medical bills she's willing to fake a happy marriage in exchange for cash. In typical Christine Lauren fashion sexual tension ensues. I'm normally not a huge fan of the rich-man-poor-woman trope, but this book manages to make West's tensions with his family very believable, and makes Anna's contribution's more than just a pretty face. With Christina Lauren you get exactly what's on the tin and readers are going to eat it up.
Thanks to NetGalley for the digital ARC.

There is no other way to say it: this book made me SWOON! I’ve read 20 books by this powerhouse duo and dare I say this is one of my very, very favorites? I dare!
I went into this totally blind and loved every single minute of it. I almost spit out my drink at the last paragraph of the prologue and at that point, I officially knew I was guaranteed a good time.
This book was seriously so fun. Every interaction between West and Anna had me melting! Or guffawing! Or both! The tension was perfect, and the banter was top tier.
The Paradise Problem was everything you expect from a Christina Lauren book and so much more. I struggled to put it down, I couldn’t stop smiling, I GIGGLED, I was genuinely sad when it was over. All signs of a five star book that I’ll definitely be recommending AND rereading soon!
Thanks to the publisher for allowing me to be an early reader! All opinions (and giggles) are my own!

I've read some Christina Lauren books that I've loved and some that weren't so great. This one was definitely a 5 star read. I loved the characters, the setting, and the story of the Weston family. This is a must-buy for public libraries.

The Paradise Problem by Christina Lauren tells the story of Anna and Liam.
After finding out his inheritance is on the line, Liam is forced to "fake marry" his brothers friend Anna. They have successfully avoided his family for several years but now they are being forced to attend Liam's sisters wedding on a private island and act like they are a happily married couple.
Anna has to learn that money doesn't solve all problems, Liam must learn to stand up to his father. Will they learn these lessons before time runs out, or will they risk everything and lose out on the inheritance?
Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this title!

Liam needs a place to stay as he finishes up his college and married housing is his only choice. Needing a wife, his brother suggests Anna, who needs help with the rent. After two years Liam moves out. Three years later he shows up asking Anna to attend his sister’s wedding. To get his inheritance, he needs to be married for five years and his family wants to meet his wife. I loved this book. Anna struggles trying to help with her father’s medical bills for cancer. Their love is heartwarming, and Anna’s dad keeps her centered. Liam’s family is wealthy but there is no love except for money. I loved the contrast of families and how Liam came to realize how pathetic his family was when it came to caring for each other. The 10-day partying at the wedding offered a lot of laughs and Anna’s attention to Liam's niece was sweet. It was fun to see Liam and Anna get to know each other and truly care. Wonderful setting, great characters, and love story.
