Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.
I really enjoyed this book and found it hard to put down. I kept guessing who was responsible for everything going one. I was definitely a bit surprised when I found out close to the end.
While I enjoyed the book, I really didn’t care much for the characters. They weren’t very smart and seemed to be easily fooled. And the way Derek kept blowing off his wife of over ten years kind of baffled me.
I liked the secluded snowed in cabin setting and kind of locked room mystery of the book.

This is gold. The description of the cabin, the woods, and the road made me feel like I was there and I was creeped out.
And Olivia and James are a little weird and I love that. Weird rich people in this luxury cabin the middle of nowhere in the winter! Sign me up for books lie this always!
Why would you ever remember a random waitress? Amber is mad our main girl doesn't remember her.
"He is a guy. He doesn't know you don't cut cakes in the laundry room."
Seriously? Derek is dumb.

And Beth needs to be nice to Ryan.
I am just like Shelby and my Ryan lives in my basement and I will stop talking to anyone who is mean to him. Shelby needs better friends.
And overall Beth needs to chill. She assumes everyone is killed or killing if she can't see them every moment of the day.
Anyway, I loved his immensely.

This is a great can’t put down thriller with numerous twists, a boatful of suspects, several dead bodies and an always enjoyable isolated house cut off by weather from civilization. I really enjoyed it!

"What should’ve been a relaxing week with friends turns into a terrifying game of survival."

If that didn't just give you the heebie jeebies, I don't know what will.

All it took was that single line and I knew that I needed this book.

The Last Trip

I really know how to pick em!

This book right here blew my mind. I was completely consumed from start to finish and I devoured it in one sitting. What I thought would maybe be a "popcorn thriller" turned into an intricate and detailed plot of lies, deceit and murder.

Check out this teaser :

Every year, Beth and her husband Derek go on a trip with their friends from college. This year they’re meeting at a luxurious cabin nestled deep in the snow-covered mountains of New Hampshire.

Soon after they arrive, Beth gets a bad feeling about the place. She begs Derek to leave, but with this being their only vacation all year, he’s determined to stay.

Beth tries to relax and enjoy the time with her friends, but that ominous feeling returns when the only road out becomes blocked and their phones go missing.

When one of the friends is found dead, Beth panics. Everyone assures her it was just an accident, but when another friend dies from yet another accident, Beth doesn’t believe it. She’s certain someone did it, and worries she might be next.

With no way to call for help and no way to leave, Beth is convinced this trip was a setup. A way to lure them all there and kill them.

But why? And who among them is behind it?
