"Fast Food Made Healthy" by Andreas Baku is an invaluable guide for anyone looking to make smarter choices when it comes to their fast food consumption. This book provides practical tips, insightful advice, and effective strategies to help readers transform their fast food experience into a nourishing and guilt-free one.

I absolutely loved how Andreas Baku approaches the topic of fast food with a balanced and empowering perspective. Instead of demonizing fast food altogether, he educates readers on the hidden health hazards of common fast food items and offers practical strategies for making healthier choices. I found the section on decoding the fast food menu particularly helpful, as it gave me the confidence to navigate through options with ease.

The book covers a wide range of topics, from breakfast options to burgers, salads, sandwiches, and desserts, providing readers with delicious alternatives that are both satisfying and nutritious. I appreciated the variety of recipes and meal ideas included, which made it easy to incorporate healthier options into my fast food routine.

Overall, "Fast Food Made Healthy" is an essential resource for anyone looking to improve their eating habits without sacrificing convenience or taste. If you need help like most of us navigating through what are the best choices in fast food, this book could really help you out. It is a great resource to help us eat better when running through those drive-throughs.

For me, I think this book is better suited for a younger person trying to eat healthier. I don’t know maybe I’ve been on so many diets that’s why all this was common sense to me. Although if someone serves me a rabbit burger I’m flipping a table.

This is a great guide to healthier eating, for those who are on the go. It sounds like a contradiction teaching people how to order healthy fast food. A lot of people are incredibly busy and grabbing something on the way home is usually easier than waiting for chicken to defrost or cooking a whole dinner. This is a great in depth read, I was hoping there would be a couple of examples of actual fast food menu items. It does generalize and break down common fast food items and the substitutes that can make them healthier. The guide is comprehensive, though I do wish it had some more visual depictions. It is not a cookbook but a guide to healthier eating for those who eat out. I received an ARC through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

A great companion to have! It helps you make a better a choice while eating out at fast food restaurants. It talks strategies for making healthier choices, for exemple: get grilled meat instead of fried, get water instead of soda, choose whole grain bread or lettuce wraps, be smart with the sauces and dressings, portion control and more. I received a free digital copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review

This is an interesting book around fast food and the healthy choices we should make and not only in our kitchens but also when we are eating out. Quite an informative read, easy to read, well written and quite an eye opener. We all need to read to this book.

For anyone who is into eating healthy and watching what goes into their body, there isn't really any new information in this book. HOWEVER, it's a great introductory resource for people who are looking to clean up their diet, change their habits, or young people venturing out on their own (without mom choosing their meals).

This is a short little book that’s all about ways to make healthier choices with your food and drink. I admit I don’t read the is kind of book very often but I was intrigued when I saw it for download on Netgalley and it seemed like a quick read so I downloaded it.

Overall I like this lot. It has a lot of information for such a short book. It offers some genuinely good advice on how to incorporate healthier foods into your diet and it doesn’t advocate for completely eliminating the less healthy food from your diet. It focuses on moderation which is much easier to maintain. Cutting fast food out of a lot of peoples diets is unrealistic and this offers a lot of ways to make the food from fast food joints healthier. I like that it makes a point to say that this is just a general guide and to see a doctor or nutritionist for more in depth advice. Many health/diet related books don’t bother to do that and it can be dangerous. I also like the section at the back focusing on physical fitness and activity in relation to diet/health changes.

I don’t have very many negatives. The book can be a little repetitive which I think is more noticeable since the book is short but it didn’t bother me all too much. I wasn’t a fan of the authors extreme negative views on processed food but he does make a point that you should check nutritional values and not just write them off right away. And this may seem like an extreme nitpick but some of the restaurant menu talk annoyed me. The author mentioned how you should look for descriptive words like “organic” and “grass fed” and “homemade” because it indicates that the food is going to be better cooked and higher quality. Those terms are unregulated, meaningless, and a marketing ploy. They don’t mean higher quality. They mean the restaurant can charge 19$ for their hamburger instead of 5$.

Overall I really did like this book. It has a lot of good advice and was well written and a good read overall. I personally highly recommend this to read.

Perfect for New Years Resolutions.

I know I am not mindful when I grab fast food because its usually when I’m stressed, traveling or on a time crunch and just say to hell with it - this book opened my eyes on making better choices. It also breaks things down from breakfast to lunch/dinner and even dessert. If I ruin my diet in 2024 after having read this, the only person I can blame is myself.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for letting me review this book. This book was a quick read yet felt more like a textbook. From the title, I thought there would be healthy recipes included as well. Besides the health benefits of not eating fast food all the time; you also save money.

This book told the healthier types of meat and preparation that could make fast food healthy but there were no recipes that would have given more substance and enjoyment to the book.

This book gives you smart solutions on how you can order fast food but make it healthy by explaining where the "unheltyness" comes from. It can be really useful, especially when you don't really have much alternatives, but I felt like most of the information was easy to find if you already want to take a step towards a healthy lifestyle

I don't actually ever have take outs or eat in fast food restaurants, but thought this would be a good one to share with the grandchildren. Fascinating look into the industry with ideas of what to eat if you must eat there. Good guide.

All for it...

If you can find a way to make fast food healthier, why wouldn't you?
Its a necessity in our fast paced life and sometimes, we only have time to grab fast food, so why not make it healthier. Seems like a simple and practical as well as tasty solution.
Recommend.
