At first reading, this book has a mystery/thriller vibe. I actually had to go back and double check that I was indeed reading a romance. And as the book continued, that became apparent. I think it was because of this that I really enjoyed reading it.

I really felt connected to Grace’s character. Her awkwardness and curiosity along with how she eventually started opening up to Brent and their unfortunate (but was it?) run-in at the Airbnb.

My heart broke for Grace and Brent after the call he received from his lawyer but loved how mature both reactions were. And the maturity he showed in fixing it all for the rest of the book.

This was a sweet read.

This was the second book I have read by Raina Ash and WOW another amazing read. This was a heartfelt story about normalizing anxiety while still being steamy and beautiful. I was really rooting for Grace and Brent to not only be together, but for them to find peace and happiness with the struggles they had been dealt in life. The characters were really well written. I would definitely recommend this book.

Thank you NetGalley and Pink Fox Publishing for allowing me to read this ARC for my honest opinion.

Thank you to NetGalley, Raina Ash, and Pink Fox Publishing for this ARC. I will be giving my honest review.
This book follows Grace and Brent who want to get away from their troubles and stay at a vacation home. Grace's friend schedules her to stay at this vacation mansion for some time to relax after she lost her job. Grace gets to the house and meets Brent who also had the house scheduled for his own vacation. These strangers have to stay at the same house because the weather is so bad neither can leave. The two of them form a connection quickly, and share their past. Their connection becomes stronger throughout the book although there are obstacles that arise.
I loved the genuine connection and understanding each have for each-other. This book doesn't stray away from tough topics, instead gives advice on how the characters got through. Brent is such an endearing and big-hearted man who cares deeply for the ones in his life. The writing was easy to follow with depth. I liked how the book wrapped up everything, as well. I would recommend this book and am interested in reading another from this author.

Good book with a solid story in its pages. I liked the main character and how the storyline unfolded.

did not finish. there was lot going on for both characters. two strangers kind of forced together but not really due to double booking and they could have left but they didn’t? very heavy story lines for both characters with little reprieve.

Firstly, thank you to NetGalley and Pink Fox Publishing for the eARC opportunity to read this book!

This was my first Raina Ash read and I think I will be reading more of her work! This touched on mental health and represented touchy topics in a masterful way.

You follow the growth of Grace, and watch her become accepting and self-discovery and redemption after trauma.

The mysterious older man turned age gap read, addressed Grace’s concerns and reservations while also considering Brent’s insecurity.

This is a story of acceptance, redemption, self-discovery and resilience. How one can overcome the traumas they’ve endured but still knowing the impact it can have on your life.

As always check your triggers, and happy reading!

Everything That Lingers by Raina Ash I found this one to be a very enjoyable read and I hope to read more from this author.

This was a cute and easy read but it was lacking depth. I would've liked to have seen more build up between Brent and Grace as it wasn't really all that believable. The book ended quite abruptly too.

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the DRC!

*4.5

Grace was so hurt in her past and Brent truly becomes the person she can trust the most. The fall in love fairly fast but everything about it felt so real. They were able to share the deepest parts of themselves with each other. She knew that he was such a good father and that he had to do everything he could to fight for his daughter. I want more bonus content of the three of them.

You meet Grace who is running away from her real life and goes up to a mansion for a few weeks. However, she unexpectedly finds the mansion already with a stranger! She starts to get ready to leave but encounters obstacles in the form of our wonderful friend Mother Nature.

I will say I love myself an age gap and I literally gasped when I met our mysterious HOT older MMC Brent. He is the embodiment of goodness -- incredibly patient, kind, and sensitive. Grace has her inner struggles which I thought the author did an amazing job handling. Brent was amazing with meeting Grace where she was at and never pushing her boundaries. However, he is not without his own battles. I loved how the two found a beautiful love in the most unexpected place in their lives. It was not without its own obstacles but it made the end so so worth it.

Raina Ash is a new author to me but when I tell you I ran to look up the rest of her works after I finished this I mean it! Her writing is captivating and absolutely gorgeous. I think what I loved the most (and what I am assuming is a common point in her work though obviously I will have to confirm this hypothesis) is that her characters are beautifully complex. It’s not a typical love story -- there is so much more to that surface premise. The love story itself…ugh *chefs kiss*.

I went into this book wanting to love it. It had some really fun moments…. But it also had a lot of moments that felt like trauma for trauma’s sake. I felt this lacked the nuanced take on the traumatic events in this story. Rather, it felt very stereotypical of trauma being used for entertainment rather than trauma being represented well in entertainment.

A book I really wanted to love but just couldn’t get there.

"Everything That Lingers" is a tale that goes beyond a simple love story, delving into the complexities of personal growth, forgiveness, and unexpected bonds. With shadows of the past lingering, the novel keeps readers cheering for love, making it a must-read for those who appreciate a heartfelt and emotionally resonant romance.

I absolutely loved this book! If you love age gap romances with second chances then this book is for you! I fell in love with Grace and Brent’s characters so much! The love and trust they taught each other really touched me! This does have some trigger warnings to be aware of.

Thank you so much NetGalley for allowing me to read this book!!

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Two strangers seeking alone time are thrown together due to a scheduling mishap. As both are battling different emotional upheavals in their lives, they are drawn to each other and seek solace in each other's arms. Yet once their time at this hideaway is over, where do their lives take them then?

I really enjoyed Everything That Lingers. Both main characters pasts continue to disrupt their confidence in themselves where they don't believe they deserve any better. There is some trigger topics but it is dealt with tact and a great reminder to find someone you can trust to talk to so you are not holding all of the emotions in. Sometimes authors forget to do that but Raina did this very nicely where it helped their characters grow and get closer together. I definitely recommend this book.

Thank you to NetGalley, Xpresso Book Tours and Pink Fox Publishing for the ARC. Also thank you to the author, Raina Ash for the amazing writing and great read! Looking forward to reading some more of your books!

What a ride!! This book gave me all the feels!! Big trigger warnings for this one!! Grace is a graphic designer who needs to get away from her life, that seems to be crumbling around her. When her friend gets her an AirBNB for free, she decides to go. Once she’s there, there’s been a mix up and she meets Brent, who is trying to take a break from work. It’s a lovely forced proximity, age-gap, romance with a lot of deep emotional baggage and healing. I was really rooting for Grace and Brent to not only be together, but for them to find peace and happiness with the struggles they had been dealt. It’s not your light hearted romance, but it’s a great read! Thank you so much to NetGalley and Pink Fox Publishing for my ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for the ARC!

I am not new to this author so I was thrilled to request this book. It definitely delivered the same intensity of emotional impact as Love & Panic. If you enjoy romance, and the tropes billionaire, forced proximity, single dad pick this one up. I would recommend looking up specific content warnings if you are sensitive to themes of mental health/healing/traumatic past.

"Everything that Lingers," follows the intertwining journeys of Grace and Brent, who are dealing with their own personal struggles. Grace is recovering from a difficult breakup and grieving the loss of her mother, while Brent is a single father going through a divorce and custody battle. Their paths cross accidentally as they end up at the same vacation house, leading to a slow-building relationship as they both begin to open up to each other. The story is described as a heartwarming and heart-wrenching slow burn, with some trigger warnings. Overall, it is a compelling and emotionally rich read that will leave you wanting more, highly recommend!

This one definitely cut to the bone with Grace’s childhood trauma. I felt a bit uneasy while reading the story until Grace started to trust Brent. After that it was a smoother sail. The few days that Grace spent at the rental were quite transformative for her, going from closed off to being intimate and vulnerable with someone. Brent was so perfect for Grace even if he had his own agony and needed more time to trust someone to share the burdain. I wish I could have seen more of them together, more of how they healed each other after Brent came to his senses.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me a copy of the book.
