I really wanted to love this book. Good Girl's Guide to Murder was a 5 star read for me! But I really didn't like it. It was so far fetched. Over and over I found myself rolling my eyes. And the main character was not super likeable. Plus, it was really stretched out and, frankly, too long. I will still be going back to finish the Good Girl's Guide to Murder series someday!

I loved Good Girls Guide to murder (my sister and I both did) so when we both got approved for this ARC we knew we had to buddy read! This story was very intriguing and I LOVED the unique way the story was told through a documentary. My biggest issue was I disliked the main character and found it had to relate to her. Granted this is YA and she was being a “moody teen”, I thought she was super awful and whiny for majority of the novel. I do understand she had trauma and was struggling with it, so it was great to see her overcome it! She did grow on me towards the end as I grew more invested in her story. I also thought the end, while the twist shocked me, it was super sped up and didn’t match the rest of the novel (which was more of a slow investigation type storyline intertwining with the family drama). I also felt a lot of the storylines that were spinning throughout the story would come back into play, but they just sort of stopped abruptly. Overall, I love Jackson’s writing since it is so easy to read. It definitely was a page turner regardless of the issues I found with it and overall would recommend!

Happy Pub Day to THE REAPPEARANCE OF RACHEL PRICE. I always look forward to anything Holly Jackson writes. She blew me out of the water with the AGGGTM, FIVE SURVIVE, and now this new release! In this book, we follow Bel, she is doing a documentary sharing about her mom who disappeared 16 years prior. Only to have her mom reappear with no explanation. I thought, multiple times, during reading that I’d figure out the twists and turns coming up ahead… NOPE. It left me stunned. It was a suspenseful page turner with a true crime documentary style. She REALLY does write amazing thriller reads and every single of them have been 5 stars for me. Thank you NetGalley and Delacorte Press for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

Wowowowowow this gave me the same feels I had during AGGTM!! I was really worried that I wasn’t going to like it as much since I wasn’t a huge fan of Five Survive but I REALLY thoroughly enjoyed this one! Highly recommend!!!!

Thank you PRH Audio and RandomHouse Children's for the review copies of this book, I loved it!
The Reappearance of Rachel Price is another great read from Holly Jackson! I am huge fan of her previous books, esp the good girls guide to murder trilogy, and love that though her books are YA, they are truly for any reader (even if you aren't a YA fan, these books really work for mystery fans in general). I loved the Hollywood behind the scenes themes, the dark and edgy plot points, and I love a YA protagonist who is written with balance, an understanding that young people are young but that doesn't mean they aren't mature/smart/savvy/insightful.
If you haven't read this author yet, hesitate about a trilogy..., but love a mystery with true crime vibes, then this one is for you. There are solid twists, great pacing and plot development, and a sucks you right in mystery. The audiobook was really great, Holly Jackson's books really work for me as audiobooks as the production teams always capture her characters well and give the book a movie/podcast feel that really adds depth to my enjoyment of the book.

I’ve really become a fan of Holly Jackson’s writing. Ever since I’ve read the Good Girls Guide To Murder books, I’ve been hooked.
This book was no exception.
This book had me hooked from the beginning and it did not let me go til the very end!!!
The twists-AH-MAZING!!!! She kept me guessing the ENTIRE time!

The Reapperance of Rachel Price by Holly Jackson was a journey! But I honestly expected nothing less from this author. After reading the Good Girls Guide to Murder trilogy, I knew I was in for a wild and twisty ride. This mystery's ending I did not see coming. I also loved the characters throughout the book.
The story follows Bel Price who's mother disappeared when she was a baby sixteen years ago. No understanding or clue to her disappearance. But the case is dragged up from the past when the Price family agree to a true crime documentary. And then the impossible happens, Rachel Price reappears, and life will never be normal again. Rachel has an unbelievable story about what happened to her. Unbelievable, because Bel isn’t sure it’s real. If Rachel is lying, then where has she been all this time? And – could she be dangerous? With the cameras still rolling, Bel must uncover the truth about her mother, and find out why Rachel Price really came back from the dead.
Thrilling from start to finish, this story feels like you are in the middle of a true crime story. Definitely should be on everyone's April reading list!

Fans of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder you’ll love this one! Holly Jackson truly never disappoints!
I enjoyed the pace and behind the scenes captivation of this story. I would say having it on audio would probably make me even this one even more!
I truly did not see the ending coming — which is something I loved! This is for the mystery lovers and YA fans!
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC!

I've always enjoyed Holly Jackson's books. She is an amazing YA thriller author. This book fell short for me. There were twists and turns, and I was excited to figure out the ending of the book. The pacing was very slow. I feel like 1/3 of the book could've been left out and it still would've made an amazing plot. The characters were not very likable. The plot was good and believable until the very end and it was just too unrealistic. I didn't love the book, but I didn't hate it.

Holly Jackson. Please. You insane woman.
I cannot stress enough how phenomenal and brilliant of a writer Holly Jackson is. I mean, I didn’t even notice this book was in 3rd person until like chapter 5.
The twists and turns we experience with Bel are absolutely incredible, unbelievable, outlandish almost, but they’re also not because she is so scarily able to connect all these points at the very end.
Bel’s mother disappeared 16 years ago when she was only 2 years old, and now a film crew sweeps into town to film a documentary on her disappearance. Bel uncovers secrets, and nobody can be trusted. Nobody.
I want to scream about this book from rooftops. It’s so hard to review a Holly Jackson book without spoiling everything. So I will be keeping my mouth shut (for now).
Fans of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder… You’re gonna love this one.
Thank you from the DEPTHS of my heart to Holly Jackson, Delacorte Press, and Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.

The Reappearance of Rachel Price by Holly Jackson is another phenomenal YA thriller.
This was such an amazing story! I enjoyed this book so very much. The characters and storyline were fantastic.
There’s just something so captivating about her writing. She knows how to put just the right amount of suspense and tension that has you filled with anxiety and restlessness which makes it hard for you to put the book down unless you finish it.
The Reappearance of Rachel Price had me utterly hooked from the first chapter.
This book is jam packed with tension and suspense that kept my heart racing.
Holly Jackson will never disappoint!
Thank You NetGalley and Delacorte Press for your generosity and gifting me a copy of this amazing eARC!

Holly Jackson has done it again y’all. I enjoyed the Good Girls Guide to Murder and this book did not leave me disappointed! The concept of Bel’s family participating in this documentary, only to have their missing subject magically appear, and watch the reactions of those around them, blew my mind. Then, when I thought that I had the entire situation out, the story took an unexpected turn for the CRAZIEST ending to the story. I really enjoyed reading this booK!

“Family first. Not a threat, but a promise.”

Bel is 18 and has lived her entire life in her mother’s shadow. Her mother, Rachel Price, disappeared 16 years ago without a trace. Her disappearance has transfixed everyone and has lead to a documentary being filmed about it. Bel wants nothing to do with the documentary, but does it for her father. Shockingly, her mother shows up during the filming. She doesn’t know” who kidnapped her. Bel is determined to figure out what happened. She has a gut feeling Rachel Price is lying.
This is a fast paced mystery thriller. There are so many twists and turns, it keeps you engaged the entire time. I did not see that end coming. Took me by complete surprise. I loved this book and will definitely be reading more by Holly Jackson.
Release date:April 2nd, tomorrow!
Thank you to NetGalley, Delacorte Press, and Holly Jackson for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review

As per usual, Holly Jackson KILLED it! *Pun intended ;)
Rachel Price was a suspenseful, mysterious, intense page-turner that had me absolutely consumed with the Price family disappearances. Just as I am used to with Jackson's writing, she artfully includes mind-bending twists and turns throughout the entire novel to always keep you on your toes guessing what will come next. There was not a single moment where I wasn't flipping the next page immediately and longing for more of Rachel's story. I do wish that the ending offered a little bit more acknowledgement to Bel's growth throughout the story, and that Carter got the chance to be fleshed out a bit more because (to me) she felt a little bit flat, despite being such a large part of the story and Bel's life. Despite my feelings on the ending, I thoroughly enjoyed The Reappearance of Rachel Price and would argue that it is her best work since AGGGTM #1 (which is a hard feat!).
Any mystery lovers will love Rachel Price, and anyone not familiar with the mystery genre will no doubt fall in love with the genre after finishing this book!
Thank you deeply to all the NetGalley and Delacorte/Random House teams for this ARC!!

This thriller kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish! Some of the plot twists caught me completely off guard! I really liked Bel, she reminded me a lot of Pip from AGGGTM! Not only did the thriller and unreliable characters pull me in, I loved the elements of family and friendship!

WOWWWWW! Talk about a plot twist and major page turner! Looking for a good mystery/thriller this one is for you! I’ll be reeling about this book for months. This was my first Holly Jackson book and definitely won’t be my last. I’ll be ordering every one of her books ASAP.
Bel was left in the backseat of her mom’s car when she was two, but where did her mom go? No one really knows the answer to that question, or do they? Bel is now 18 years old and has been raised by her single dad, Charlie, since her mom vanished all those years ago. While filming for “The Disappearance of Rachel Price” Bel storms out and when she runs into Rachel on her walk home her life is drastically changed. Tensions running high for the Price family on all sides. Bel’s trying to prove Rachel Price planned both her disappearance and her reappearance and with Ash’s help she plans to find out the answers. Except the answers Bel goes looking for are far from the answers she receives.
Thank you to NetGalley, Random House Children’s and Holly Jackson for an ARC of The Reappearance of Rachel Price.

A twisty, suspenseful, and compulsively-readable mystery. I was sucked into the Price family right away and intrigued by Rachel’s character. While I enjoyed Bel’s development throughout the book, I was initially more invested in discovering Rachel’s backstory. Jackson weaves the twists nicely, some I predicted and some that surprised in the best way. The Reappearance of Rachel Price is Jackson’s best since A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, keeping the high-stakes intrigue but playing with new elements like the female relationships and less traditionally-likeable narrator in Bel. A fun and quick read that I know my mystery-loving students will devour.

Holly Jackson has done it again!
We are back with yet another murder mystery from the author of AGGTM. This time we are following a girl who is trying to find out what happened to her mom. There is a documentary being filmed, Bel just wanted this to go away. However, when her mom reappears out of nowhere, this seems to shake things up. Where was she? Can she be trusted?
As expected, this was a fun time! I enjoyed my time with this book and would highly recommend, especially if you liked other books by the author.
Thank you to Netgalley & the publisher for my early e-arc.

This book has everything I love in a thriller. Fast paced story telling, a clever and fun main character, lots of dark family secrets and had me guessing until the end. This is the first book I have read from Holly Jackson but it certainly will not be my last. Her writing style flows so well I was through this 450 page book within a couple of days. The main character Bel was so much fun to get to know. This story really solidifies the saying Family First!
Bel Price has lived in her mother's shadow for her entire 18 years even though she barely remembers her. Rachel disappeared 16 years ago. When a true crime documentary films to try to solve the disappearance, everyone is shocked when Rachel suddenly reappears including Bel who isn't so sure she believes her mother's story. Bet tries to uncover the truth but may uncover family secrets that are better left buried.

What a uniquely fun murder mystery! A lot of authors have used podcasts in their murder mystery books but The Reappearance of Rachel Price utilized a documentary aspect which really had me intrigued literally just from the synopsis 😂. The only complaint is, I’m not sure if it was utilized enough, however this book was ADDICTIVE. I had such issues when I had to put it down (because life is always in the way) lol.
The family dynamics, although sometimes almost unbelievable to some, still felt very real to me. Families are messy and I just loved how it took a deep dive into the dynamics of a family full of secrets.
The were so many plot twists, I couldn’t keep up. I truly couldn’t believe what was happening the whole time but then thinking back, I definitely could see the craftsmanship of this mystery being expertly laid out.
Bels character development and how she’s most definitely not perfect but felt REAL? The anger and feelings she felt were most definitely real and could seriously be FELT. She had every reason to feel the way she did too.
I don’t know, overall, I can’t say more good things about this one lol. If you’re a Holly Jackson fan or looking for a fun and addictive mystery to add to your tbr pile.. PICK THIS ONE UP!!
