Just an overdose of adorable romance full of delicious meet-cutes. Perfect short stories that capture that exciting moment. Thoroughly enjoyed all of these, especially Sally Thorne’s!

Overall, a 3.5 star rating for this collection. I really only loved two of the stories, with one being good but needing a content warning. The others were just ehh. Thank you to the authors and Amazon for eARCs in exchange for an honest review.

The Exception to the Rule:
**5 stars
Ok, what a cute freaking story. I loved how it progressed from them emailing each other since the ages of 14 and 16 to their freak meeting in grad school. I thought the ending would be too rushed and we wouldn't get the HEA details, but I loved that we got to see their future in their emails again. A quick, five star romance that you should definitely read.

Worst Wingman Ever:
**3.75 stars
There maybe should have been a warning about how much this short book talks about losing a grandparent. Not only is Holly losing her grandmother, but she's the hospice nurse taking care of her in her final days. I'd say the story centered more around that than the romance, but the romance was cute.

Rosie and the Dreamboat:
**4.5 stars
I almost thought this had too many jokes, but it won me over in the end. It was so funny and had me laughing pretty much the whole book. I also loved how sweet the MMC is. How he was able to calm Rosie down so well, despite her being in a literal nightmare. Would have loved to learn more about him and his history with the other firefighters if this book was longer.

Drop, Cover, and Hold On:
**2.5 Stars
Ehhh, I wasn't a huge fan of this one. The premise is really cute, but I don't like how the MMC treated the FMC. And even though it seemed to be a misunderstanding, the way she went from thinking he absolutely hated her to literally crawling in his lap to make out and then take things further just doesn't sit right with me. I think to make that connection work, the book needed to be full-length.

With Any Luck:
**3 stars
This kind of felt like you dropped into the middle of the story. I wanted more background between all the characters. I also didn’t love how the FMC just completely forgot the night before. If she was sobering up, what caused her to sleep the day away and not remember the night? I think I would have loved this if it was a bit longer as I think the idea would be amazing with the details a full length novel could allow.

Royal Valentine:
**3 stars
We didn't need the third-act break up in a novella. There just wasn't enough time to really make that work. We needed time for them to come back together, not just 'bam' there he is. I did like how they both were keeping their identity a secret though.

Easiest 5 stars. Such good, cute, funny and romantic little books. I'm obsessed with them. Definitely worth reading them and will buy for friends. Christina Lauren's book and Abby Jimenez where the absolute best. But Abby Jimenez story steals the show. Touching and beautifully written story.

The Exception To The Rule: solid 4.5 stars. Novellas can be so hit or miss for me but this was perfect. I love Christina Lauren and have read many of their books and this one did not let me down. The emails back and forth were so cute and gave you a really good sense of these main characters. I love them! I could use a whole full length novel about them! The back and forth banter and email format were spectacular and was so cute.

Worst Wingman Ever: 5 stars! Abby Jimenez has such a way of packing an emotional punch to her stories and this was no exception. I found myself tearing up and I was 100% emotionally invested in these characters. The way their paths crossed and touched was so cute. I loved this story so much.

Rosie and the Dreamboat: 4 stars. A very cute novella with a ton of fun banter. The premise was funny and interesting and the fact that they met sight unseen was great. This one will make you smile!

Drop, Cover and Hold On: 3 stars. It was overall okay. Not terrible but I didn't feel the connection between these two at all. My favorite part is probably just the description of the pastries.

With Any Luck: 3.5 stars. This was a cute one! I kind of felt like I needed a bit more time with the characters but it was an enjoyable novella.

Royal Valentine: 2 stars. This was a nope from me. I barely got through it. The instalove was cringey and didn't feel like a meet cute at all. I didn't care about the characters one bit and felt emotionally detached from the whole story. The only one from this collection I really disliked.

A collection of short stories based around meet cutes with some of my favorite authors? I am here for it! Each individual story showcased the different authors writing styles, along with their unique stories. Each story had me rooting for each character, along with wanting more when the story was complete. From mistaken emails, missed opportunities or having to be rescued, each meet cute brought something new and exciting. I also enjoyed the different stories on audio and found that the different narrators helped in separating each story. Thank you to Amazon Original Stories! All thoughts and opinions are my own!

This whole collection was really cute. Ashley Poston's and Christina Lauren's were my favorite. This was also a lovely introduction to authors that I was unfamiliar with, like Abby Jimenez, Sally Thorne, and Jasmine Guillory. Overall, very cute, very much love, very quick reads. Perfect for V-Day!

The improbable meet cute novella collection proves that you don’t need many pages to have an pactful, sweet romance story!

My personal favourite was The Exception To The Rule which had such a unique concept!

I loved diving into each of these short love stories.

Six short novellas with some pretty unique meet-cutes! I will say, these novellas were written by some of the biggest and best rom-com authors. Each story felt uniquely it own while also still fitting in with the overall theme. Out of the six, I think my favorite was the Christina Lauren novella.

I love the idea of these short stories - these are really great if you are on the go or just don’t have the time to commit to a full novel.

Thank you to Amazon Original stories and NetGalley for giving me an ARC copy of the book. All opinions are my own.

All of the stories in this collection were fun and sweet. I especially enjoyed Worst Wingman Every by Abby Jimenez and The Exception to the Rule by Christina Lauren. I thoroughly enjoyed how Lauren's short story was told primarily through email for the first half. This made it stand out to me more than a typical short love story. The passing of time was also intriguing. I also really enjoyed The Worst Wingman Ever, and my only complaint is that I wanted MORE. Jimenez has such a way with words, so I wanted to feel more connected to the main characters-- which seemed impossible in a narrative this short.
