The Finders Keepers Library is a wonderful place that anyone can come in and browse the books there and take the ones that interest them. Eleanor, whose husband created this dream for her, also created his dream of a beautiful garden.
Her niece, Savannah, was diagnosed with a disease, her boyfriend ended things with her, and she was without a job. She decided to go visit her Aunt Eleanor, whereas a child, she spent summers there. When she arrived, she found out her aunt had a fall, and she has changed in so many ways. A storm comes, and does a lot of damage to both the library and the garden. Savannah, meets Evan again, who she spent time with during the summers she stayed there.
I enjoyed following along as the work begins on fixing the garden and the library. It was amazing to see the changes there but also in the people who lived there, Everyone's journey is different, and brings them to discovering different things, seeing the choices they make, and who they are after going through everything. Everyone has their own journey, and sometimes they weave in and out of other peoples, and that is what kept me reading. It makes the story like no other I have read.
I received an ARC from Forever through NetGalley.

I received an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.
A beautiful story of second chances.
Savannah returns to visit her aunt (a retired librarian) in Bloom, NC after experiencing some turbulent life events (a medical diagnosis, a break up, etc). She spent most of her childhood summers there and being there brings her peace.
We meet characters that she grew up with and with whom second chances begin to bloom (see what I did there?).
Savannah isn’t the only one who is embracing second chances. I won’t give away too much as it truly is a beautiful experience to watch the story unfold.
I also loved that each chapter started with a literary quote, so fun!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the arc of this book.

I enjoyed this book. I really liked that it centered around books and I liked all the book quotes and references. I liked the characters and that they were always there for each other. There were real life issues which gave the book depth.
I really liked the idea of the back yard library, but it didn't play as big a role as I had hoped. I would like to have seen more people come by and borrow books, and even talk about them. I was also underwhelmed by Savannah and Evan's relationship. I just didn't feel the connection.
All in all, though, I really liked it and would recommend to anyone looking for a feel good, small town read.
Thanks so much to NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

The Finders Keepers Library, a wonderfully welcome place where folks can come in to choose free books and often leave books for others to choose. Lovingly built for Evelyn by her late husband, it is nestled in their backyard near the beautiful rose archway. Evelyn is known for book recommendations and reading lists tailored to each recipient.
Savannah, Evelyn’s granddaughter, is blindsided when her boyfriend breaks up with her as she’s still learning to deal with her lupus diagnosis. Reeling from the breakup, and in between jobs, Savannah decides to spend some time with her grandmother, Evelyn. It’s been a long time since she’s been in touch and her last visit. Plus, there’s to be a wedding in Evelyn’s backyard soon that Savannah can help with. Savannah’s next-door childhood friend, Evan, is next door again, now with his daughter, June, and he’s not happy with Savannah. He feels that Savannah should’ve been there after Evelyn’s fall some months back.
Storm damage to the Finders Keepers Library threatens to derail the preparations for the wedding. As Savannah and Evan work on repairs, they also find themselves getting to know each other all over again.
The Finders Keepers Library is for anyone who loves books and a great story! I really enjoyed it. Thank you, NetGalley, for the opportunity to read an advance copy.

I am not much of a typical romance reader but a few things caught my eye when reading the preview for this book. A book about books is always a highlight for me but add in it’s based in North Carolina and it was a must read for me.
Yes this was an easy read but I know a lot of people love those, especially romance based. Actually, the whole time I was reading it all I could think of was how much my mother in law would’ve enjoyed this book. She could read 2-3 in a day.
Not being a huge fan of predictable storylines did not stop this from being an enjoyable book. It’s just not my favorite genre. However it will definitely be some people’s 5 star book and that’s great.
I liked all the characters and their development throughout the book. I enjoyed reading about real life scenarios, not just everything being storybook style. Death, illness, & injuries are real life and that was refreshing to have.
Overall I would absolutely recommend this to anyone but especially people who like non 🌶️ romances that are quaint and cozy.

Thank you NetGalley and Forever Publishing for this ARC. I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
Although this book deals with health issues, it is still a “light” read. I liked the characters Eleanor, June and Charlie. However, I found Savannah and Evan to be quite boring. There was no “spark” to the relationship. It was also quite repetitive when it came to Savannah’s thoughts. I just didn’t feel it was a very good romance.
The story is put together very quaint. It wasn’t awful, but it felt like a Hallmark movie. If you are looking for a lighter read, this might be for you.

I always enjoy an Annie Rains book when looking to read a sweet romance, and The Finders Keepers Library did not disappoint. I absolutely love the cover and the interior illustrations for the chapter headings as well as the use of book quotes there. I found the characters likable--especially Eleanor. I would have loved to see even more of her, as some of Savannah's indecisions about staying in Bloom or not/having a relationship with Evan or not felt a little repetitive at times. But overall I really loved the story!
Thanks to the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this book through NetGalley.

I really enjoyed this book despite talking about difficult topics such as grief and loss of loved ones. As someone who loves books - this book was for me and will be for other book lovers.

This book deals with health issues, caring for someone with a chronic disease, death, and second chances. It offers the reality of what life could be like living and caring for someone with a lifelong disease. It is also about family, learning to deal with death at a young age, transitioning one’s life to a new “normal”. The Finders Keepers Library is an excellent book dealing with challenges most of us never have to realize. I highly recommend it!

The cover is what caught my eye and made me want to read this book and I had no idea what I would find.
The main character heads to her Aunts house. Her Aunt is a rabid reader and her late husband had a library built in her backyard. She is able to recommend just the right book at the right time for all the people that want to use the Finders keepers library. After a storm damages her glorious garden and the library she and the next door neighbor(a boy from her past) come together to fix it and make it even better. Then we see her story, her aunts and his as they navigate life after loss. It was a cute book. My favorite part was that there were so many quotes from other books used to move the story along or during important talks. The ending was exactly as expected and will make you smile.
Thanks to NetGalley and the Publisher for the ARC.

Thanks to NetGalley and Forever Publishing for my Advance Reader Copy of The Finders Keepers Library by Annie Rains. After losing everything, Savannah Collins heads to her beloved aunt’s in Bloom, NC. Aunt Eleanor’s small town has it all: lush rose gardens, long lost friends, personal BACKYARD LIBRARY with fairy lights, and single dads :-)
I also really enjoyed the notable book quotes at the beginning of every chapter that relate to the story. Very clever!
Available for purchase on April 16, 2024.

This was such an amazing book that pulled me in from the beginning! I wanted to finish it to figure out what happens but wanted to stay with the characters too! I love how each chapter is told from a different characters point of view. I also liked how each chapter starts with a different quote from a book. There were so many memorable characters in this book that I won't list them all! This is a must read!!!
Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc. The opinions are my own.

A sweet book where family comes back to the grandparents house. A love for books, wonderful.characters and lost love makes this a fun read to not miss.

The Finders Keepers Library is my new favorite Annie Rains book of all time ! She always writes cute little town romances but this one is just the best . It is full of so many elements such as heartbreak, second chances , family and illness. I just love the fact that it has a backyard garden with a library that everyone is welcome to visit .
Thank you NetGalley and publisher for a copy for my opinion.

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read the best book I’ve read this year. This was such a special story and best of all it was centered around books. There are so many touching moments in this story. It’s one of those books you can’t put down and you don’t want it to end. There are very special characters in this story. I’ll start with Eleanor who is the center of this story. She loves books so much that she has a building that was built for her by her late husband so she could have her own library. The town people can come and take a book anytime. Her niece, Savannah, has recently come to stay with her after her fiancé broke their engagement due to her recent health diagnosis. Evan, the next door neighbor, is striving to make his daughter, June, feel at home after the recent loss of her mother. I don’t want to spoil this story for anyone., so I’ll just say don’t miss adding this story to your reading list. I highly recommend this book. If only I could give it more than 5 stars!

This was a lovely story of childhood friends and finding happiness with people who love you for who you are and where you are in life. The characters are all realistic and relatable, and I love the bookish plot. Really good.

I find so much comfort in Annie Rains' books. She writes small town, sweet romances with heart and depth that drives me back to her communities without question every time. Finders Keepers Library is no different. Savannah grew up spending summer's at her Aunt Eleanor's house. Suddenly after some unexpected life changes, she is back there again indefinitely. What she thinks will be a few weeks of getting back on her feet turns into a summer of finding herself, finding family and finding love while also gaining the community and path she has longed for. The romance is low angst and sweet. The side characters are fun but have heart. I will always click read on Annie's books.

I liked this book so much more than I was expecting. The author has a great way of wording things and it flowed so much, I didn't notice time passing as I read it.
Savannah and Evan reunite as next door neighbors after falling head over heels during her summer visits to her aunts house next door, each year. Then life happens and they don't see each other or talk for many years.
How they handle things as mature adults was cute, if predictable. June was so fun to read and I could feel her teenager drama so well.
I would recommend this book.
Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Many heartbreaking and heartwarming moments. A variety of issues fill this story making one care completely about these characters. A sweet page turner. Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy via NetGalley. My review is voluntary.

As a librarian, I am partial to books about books and libraries. This one did not disappoint. I appreciated the quotes from books at the chapter beginnings and also the ones mixed in as advice for the characters. This book addresses so many issues that resonate with me like grief, health issues, aging, and anxiety in a compassionate and non-triggering way. Thank you to NetGalley for making it possible for me to read and review this book. All opinions are solely mine.
