I really enjoyed the You by Caroline Kepnes vibes this novella gave me and I couldn't put it down.
It was such an interesting concept and plot as compared to the You series where the MC is a store owner this gave such a different dynamic and really makes you think about the people you interact with frequently but don't really give thought to.
I don't know how I feel about the ending whether I loved or loved to hate it. It was such a switch that I did and didn't anticipate. I was expecting something but not that.
There was some pacing things I didn't enjoy (a little choppy but also I understand trying to fit a lot into a novella) and a few small plot holes (where was Cara at the end?)
There was also a few cultural things that slightly took me out of the story because I had to look it up to understand. Jarvis Cocker 🤔
But overall really enjoyed this and read it in one sitting.

This book was fantastic! The writing was amazing and the story just gets better as you read it. A courier becomes worried about a woman he delivers for and he becomes obsessed with her. He’s desperate to save her from her husband that he goes to extreme lengths to save her.. his behaviour gets more and more sick and the twist at the end was brilliant. Loved it

What an enjoyable novella this is! Enjoyable might be the wrong word as Bob is one creepy weirdo!
I actually wasn’t sure I liked the fact that the whole story was his narrative but as it went on, I did adjust to that and it did work well for me.
Loved how this novella ended too!

Epic thriller from an extremely unreliable pov. Very short and especially important was the phenomenal twist! Thanks for the arc and would recommend.

A fun and creepy stalker tale - a bit of obsession, a bit of retribution, quite over the top preoccupation. With a twist here and there. A quick and darkly entertaining read.

My first Zoe Rossi book but definitely not my last! I totally enjoyed this thriller. Wow, it takes obsession to the next level. This creepy book had some good strong ‘YOU’ vibes.
Thank you NetGalley, Zoe Rosi and Xpresso Book Tours for the opportunity to read and review this book.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC!
This was a fantastic little thriller novella, with some great twists and turns through the story. There is something to be said for the punchiness of books like this, where the narrative absolutely has to be tight and well-formed, and this book certainly managed this well.
The main character is an unreliable narrator who starts off as seeming nice enough but quickly becomes a rather interesting kettle of fish. There's not a huge amount of background on anyone in this book, so it becomes a sort of self contained bubble universe where everything happens in a short span of time. It absolutely is an art to do a contained story like this, but the author has managed it quite successfully.
I do think the ending was rounded up perhaps a little too quickly, without any other hints being given, but with that said I can see that it was meant to be all energy and enthusiasm as a final push and I appreciated it nonetheless. All in all, this was a very solid read, and well worth it!

Thank you to NetGalley, Lighthouse press and Xpresso book tours for the ARC of ‘Courier’.
I absolutely loved this book, at a short 120 pages it is a quick read but boy does it suck you in straight away. First of all, with any book that is under 200 pages, the author has to WORK to get that story across and Rosi delivered!
Dark, suspenseful and fast-paced, Courier is THE book.

I can’t tell you how much I loved this novella. I’m a huge fan of Joe Goldberg and Bob had the same vibes. It’s crazy what these guys will do for love. I couldn’t put this novella down and had to get to the end and find out what happened. And boy oh boy, the pay off at the end. This might become my best read of the year and it’s only the second book I’ve read.
Thank you, NetGalley, Lighthouse Press and Zoe Rosi for an eARC of the book in exchange for an honest review.

I was so excited about this book!
I love “You” the TV show, so I thought this would be right up my alley! It was definitely a quick read and mildly entertaining. I was however, expecting a lot more from the story. The ending felt rushed and frankly, not really plausible.
I did like the perspective of the stalker, it is a different side of the story, like “You”.
I was just hoping for more. More twists, more thrills.
All in all, it was an ok, quick read.

This was such an entertaining read! It is a story about Bob, a courier in the small seaside town of Hastings, England. On his route,he encounters a situation of domestic abuse and begins to obsess about helping out and winning over the victim. Natalie and her daughter Cara seem to live in a volatile home under the thumb of her husband Nathaniel. Trolling her Facebook page and staking out her street, Bob slowly forms a plan to get rid of the husband and make Natalie his own. This was such a craftily written story with an excellent twist. I highly recommend this very fast but very satisfying read.

Bob, the local courier, becomes obsessed with saving a woman on his route from, what he thinks, an abusive husband. I enjoyed how the book is written in the first person from Bob’s perspective. Quick read. Thank you NetGalley and Xpresso Book Tours for the ARC.

What a great little novella. I loved feeling like I was going in blind based on the description. Once I started I just couldn’t stop reading! Fast paced and thrilling for sure!!

I love a good unreliable narrator story as much as the next guy, and I think this book does it well. The main character, Bob, is pretty much a British version of Joe Goldberg from You. I was fully on board and willing to suspend my disbelief until the end. I feel like things wrapped up a little too neatly and there were too many coincidences for my taste. Quick read and a good story overall, though.

This may only be a novella but it is the real deal
Scary, creepy, sociopath Bob who is a courier sees something he shouldn’t as he delivers a parcel to a customer and all their lives are then fast tracked to an orgy of lust fuelled nightmare
I loved the narrative from Bob, how he answered himself and had his double thoughts, saying one, keeping the other silent but he was kinda terrifying too
I read this is one go, I daresay everyone will as once you start its not an option not to finish
Skin tingling reading and I doubt I will ever look at a Courier the same way again

No one pays attention to the courier, right? That’s the idea here. And the courier has a lot to say. In this instance, he narrates an entire novella of obsession, murder, and love.
Imagine Joe Goldberg, everyone’s favorite obsessive psycho from YOU series, as a fifty-year-old, new age-y nobody stuck in a small English town. Okay, there you go, that’s the protagonist here. At least, the version he may have of himself. In real life, he’s more of a loser nowhere near as clever or accomplished as Mr. Goldberg in his …dark arts. But he’s also hooked on love. And saving women he loves from evil men and themselves.
And so, he proceeds to save the woman he espies on his route … until the situation takes a sharp turn. Which is to say, there is a fun (if not entirely logical) twist in the end.
Overall, not particularly original, but decent, and a fun, quick read. Thanks Netgalley.

Bob is a local courier who becomes obsessed with woman on his route. When he realizes that she is being abused, he takes things into his own hands but they don't work out as he hopes.
This was a quick and easy read to start the year. Bob is an older gentleman who becomes obsessed with a woman named Natalie. Natalie is very much out of Bob's league but that doesn't seem to bother him. He behaves like a typical creep would. If you need a short book to get through a reading slump, this may be what you need. This book will be released at the end of January.

This is a great book, the plot is one that can be far fetched but also in the current climate could come true! So this added to the creepiness of the book for me.

Solid, well-written novella about a delivery man who becomes obsessed with a woman he sees in the background after delivering a package to her potentially abusive husband. He starts thinking about ways to get rid of the hubby then move in on the grieving wife. It moves along nicely to a not-so-surprising ending which nevertheless satisfies and brings the story full circle. A quick read I enjoyed. 3.5 stars bumped to 4 for the quality of writing. Thanks to Netgalley for the free ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you NetGalley, Zoe Rosi, and Lighthouse Press for giving me the opportunity to review this book! All opinions are my own.
What happens when your local courier becomes your stalker? Read this novella to find out!
Zoe Rosi really hit the creepy, stalker vibe with this one! And the ending! I was NOT expecting that at all!
Out on January 30th, 2024!
