Oh, I hate to criticize because I know how hard it is to write a novel.
I love vanilla ice cream. There's nothing wrong with vanilla, but vanilla books are not my taste, and this book was just so vanilla, and by that I mean tame, mild, conflictless.
The characters were all just white, vanilla, boring. The conflict was mild. What was the conflict even? A single mom after a bad divorce must choose between two men? Big whoop.
One of the guys was obviously a jerk. The other was perfect. What is hard about a choice like that? Try choosing between two great guys--now that's a hard choice. That's some conflict.
And Sammy, the FMC, obviously liked the perfect guy, and he obviously liked her. So where is the conflict in that? What is keeping them apart? The fact that she's a single mom? No. Uncertainty? No. Nothing. Nothing is keeping them apart. So why does it take a whole book for them to get together?
The characters were meh (the children did not talk like children), the plot was meh, the conflict (such as it was) was meh. I chose this audiobook because I love the two narrators, and their performances certainly elevated the lame material.
But I was bored by the story. I didn't feel anything for Noah, the MMC, though I wanted to. The prose was overwritten, overexplaining things the reader already has gotten and understood (see how I didn't need to use both those words in this sentence? That's what the prose is like, except with entire sentences that repeat the previous sentence).
And the so-called "twist" at the end came out of left field and turned out to be a big nothing-burger as it was too easily resolved.
The post-car-accident opening chapter was a tease.
I'm sorry I didn't like it. I wanted to like it. I wanted to be entertained. I wanted to be swept up in it. But it just didn't happen for me.

In this book, I was drawn into the world of Sammy Baker, a relatable divorced mom juggling life's challenges in New York. The story's blend of humor and drama, centered around a perplexing love triangle, kept me engaged. The unexpected hospital scene, revealing a pregnant woman claiming to be the girlfriend of Sammy's love interest, added a compelling twist to the narrative. The audiobook, narrated brilliantly by Elizabeth Louise and Sebastian York, enhanced the experience with dynamic storytelling. While some parts were predictable and heavy on pop culture references, the overall charm and wit of the book made it a delightful read. Max Monroe's skillful writing made the characters' journeys both entertaining and heartwarming, making it a recommendable rom-com.

Id probably give this book three stars, whilst there wasn't anything particularly wrong with it, not much seemed to happen in the majority of the book and it felt quite boring. Half hearted attempt at a lovely triangle which kind of went nowhere.
The voice acting on the audiobook wasn't great, particularly when she was doing the kids voices.
Great to see a single mum book with rep for women over 40. Whilst I wasn't in love with this book I can definitely see people enjoying this.

I liked this story a lot. Sammy felt very real to me. She had the same kind of doubts we all have. I love her relationship with her boys. Their antics were fabulous in this story. The ups and downs of this story had me chomping at the bit wanting to know what happens next. The story had me invested pretty quickly in the characters. It was a good mix of humor and angst. The ending was pretty fun too. I will definitely look for more books by this author. I received a copy of the audio book from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Sammy is on the mist of a divorce and moves her and her two young sons to be near her sister Brooke. She’s not sure about going back to the dating world. This is a slow burn with a love triangle. I don’t normally like love triangles. I hate to see someone getting hurt. But I missed reading from this duo and was captivated by this story and hope for love after 40’s. Highly recommend!

3.5⭐️ This book was made available to me through NetGalley. Big thanks to them for sending it to me!
This was a sweet little rom-com with more tiny human vomit than I’ve read in a book, two suitors, a couple concussions, two adulterous pigs, a couple of weddings, and two babies to round it all out. There’s quite an extensive cast of characters, but the main couple is Sammy and Noah. They traverse several obstacles on their way towards each other, but it was a fun ride for me, as a reader.

This is the 3rd book in the series. It was a little over the top, but not as bad as the 2nd book. This one was more realistic. Afraid to love again because you think the other person will disappear again. I love how the MMC slowly proves his love to the FMC slowly and remind her he'll always be there. I love the chronic illness represented in the book. This was a quick read.

This was my first time reading/listening to a Max Monroe novel, and I really enjoyed it. The narrator made the story come to life, and I lost count of how many times I literally laughed out loud. Very engaging story, and I would recommend it to everyone. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

This was a great story! It is a now and then storyline and it really sucked you in right away. The audiobook was great, the narrators never disappoint! There is a bit of a love triangle, which I usually don’t like, but don’t let that turn you off of this book! It’s done so well and truly adds to the story.

We briefly met Sammy in Brooke’s book so when she got a story of her own it was nice to get her story , the sweetness between Sammy and Noah was super cute , Noah was super cute with her kids , her kids reminded me of my nieces who are crazy haha , this was a sweet story that showed a strong single mom and a guy who was so perfect for her ,

Cluelessly Yours was a fun, heartwarming, and steamy listen. I don't usually go for love triangle stories but this one captured me from the start and I couldn't put it down. Sammy and her two sprightly little boys moved to New York to be closer to her sister after being deserted by her husband. She is trying to start a new life with all the complications of being a single mother. She meets a charming business man who wants to take her out, while her sister is also trying to fix her up with a sexy doctor. Life isn't easy for Sammy, and she's uncertain how to navigate the messy waters of love and desire. This story is both touching and funny, and I fell so hard for Sammy and the Hero. He was so sweet, thoughtful, protective and swoony! I loved how they connected, and the adorable little family they were making together. The story starts out leaving questions then flashes back in time, allowing us to get to know everyone, care for them and cheer for their HEA!
Elizabeth Louise, and Sebastian York brought this story to life so beautifully. They did a terrific job capturing each characters personality, and I love the emotion, and passion they brought to their performances. York always brings his 'A' game, but this is my first time listening to Louises' voice, and I really enjoyed her performance. They both had me completely invested in these characters and their story. I really enjoyed listening to this sweet, witty, and steamy romance!

I really am a sucker for a good Romcom. I listened to this, and thought the narrators did a great job! This is the third book in this series but can be read as a standalone. I was also pleasantly surprised that there was mention of Kawasaki disease, which is not a very well-known disease and as someone with a daughter who has this... I was pleasantly impressed.
This book had me laughing along, while also feeling very empathetic for the variety of characters involved. It was quirky and funny and cute and at times sad. Loved it!
I listened to this via audio from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

This was such a cute, fun read! I absolutely adored the relationship, and how it progressed in this book. They were parts that made me laugh out loud, part that made me swoon, and that made me emotional. This book really gave me all the feels. I wasn’t a huge fan of all the swearing, especially the unnecessary F bombs. However, if you were looking for a lighthearted, fun, book to get lost in I highly recommend this one.
I listen to this one on audio and thought the narrators did fantastic job! They really made the story so. There were some unusually long pauses in between chapters which could easily be fixed with some more editing but overall the audiobook was fantastic.
Thank you NetGalley for a copy of this audiobook.

After loving Best Frenemies, I was so excited to be selected to listen to Cluelessly Yours, the third standalone novel in an interconnected series (I'll have to go back and read the first one now!). This story was engaging, Sammy and her swoony pick are incredibly easy to root for, and the epilogue tied up all the loose ends leaving you feeling fulfilled with a huge grin on your face! I loved that the main characters were in their early 40s with established lives, it felt real and relatable. The narrators did a fantastic job. I can't wait to read more from this author!
Thank you to Max Monroe and NetGalley for this ALC!

I absolutely love this series! I LOVED Sebastian York and Elizabeth Louise telling this story. They did such a good job and kept my attention through the whole book. I adored Sammy and Noah's story. This was fun, fast paced, and swoon worthy. I can't wait for more books in this series! Keep them coming Max Monroe!! I would HIGHLY recommend this book and series.
Thank you NetGalley and Max Monroe for allowing me to listen to this ARC for my honest opinion.

Cluelessly Yours
Max Monroe
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 book
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️5/5 audio
OK, it’s official. If Max Monroe writes it, I’m going to read it (or listen). These these two ladies know they can write an incredible story. One that will suck you in instantly.
The main characters, Noah, and Sammy, gosh they’re perfect. Noah, that man we really need him to teach a class, he’s simply amazing. Sammy’s two boys will have you in stitches laughing.
There were so many laugh out loud moments in this book and plenty of swooney ones too. There were quite a few shock and surprises, and this one as well. This book is definitely a must read. I highly recommend it.
The narrators did a phenomenal job. The way they brought every character to life was incredible. The witty dialogue was absolutely nailed by these two narrators.

Okay to start off this is not what I would consider a romcom. It’s not laugh out loud funny as stated in the author’s note but it does have some wild moments though not what I personally consider lol, more cringe worthy. You will get whiplashed as our heroine considers two guys as potential love interests. The love triangle starts strong with jealousy and runs for about 10 chapters (3-14) but thankfully ends. The story kept me engage with the character building and had me listening into the early morning hours for that dangling carrot — how did Sammy and the man she loves end up in a coma and who is that other pregnant woman.
Sammy is a single divorced mother of two boys. Overwhelmed with life and her boys, she can’t or don’t want to think about love, romance or bringing another guy into the picture. Her pushy sister tries to steer her towards the successful and attractive anesthesiologist who somehow seems to always be around when her family needs a helping and comforting hand. But she is unsure since he hasn’t actually asked her out and gets lots of attention from the ladies.
Meanwhile Sammy keeps crashing into Gavin, the attractive businessman who told her more than once he would like to date her.
Both Noah and Gavin wooed Sammy with charm, compassionate words and thoughtful actions that an attention starved and overwhelmed mother of two young boys desperately needed. Can’t really blame the whiplash. Fortunately, Sammy instincts stopped her from making a mistake with the wrong guy.
Sebastian York finally jumps in on chapter 16 to narrate the other POV.
Omg, part 3!!!!! Why do all books need this part 3 or act 3? I guess we got to have some conflict to make us value that HEA. This is the coma scene described in the book blurb. Assumptions and misunderstanding is sprinkled throughout this book but concentrated in part 3. Sammy and her beau does get a happy ending but not all the side characters.
Things I really like:
1. Emphasis on your body your choice
2. Taking responsibility for your actions
Both Elizabeth Louise and Sebastian York were great narrators. Both Elizabeth and Sebastian utilizes many voices and the voices were decent, none were cringey for the given characters.
This is my first book from Max Monroe, I will definitely follow their works and read/listen to other titles from them.
I received a free digital review copy of this audiobook from Max Monroe and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
TROPES/ THEMES: cheating, pregnancy, divorcee, absentee father, single mom, being present, responsibility, he falls first, misunderstandings, friends to lovers, 40s romance

In Cluelessly Yours by Max Monroe, Sammy is a single mom that recently moved to New York City to be closer to her sister. Sammy has her hands full juggling her two young boys, Seth and Grant, and managing a restaurant. Like most moms, she finds it hard to make herself a priority and is pushed by her sister to get out there and date. Sammy is pursued by two men. Gavin and Noah both want Sammy‘s attention, but she isn’t sure if she’s ready to give her attention to anyone else besides her boys. As the reader, we are along for her wild ride!
I read the book, as well listen to the audio, and both were fast paced and straightforward. I enjoyed the narrators voice and pace. I really liked that there wasn’t a whole lot of fluff, and I was able to enjoy Sammy’s journey without any unnecessary parts. I really appreciated reading a story that showcased the love life of someone over 40. It was refreshing to read about issues that I might face in my stage of life as a mom at 40, rather than trying to relate to someone in their early 20s.
The epilogue did a great job of tying up loose ends, and answering all my questions. I finished the book feeling fulfilled. I had no lingering questions.
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I had listened to the book before this one and that one was so funny I laughed out loud. I was expecting the same thing from this book, but for me, that wasn't the case. I liked the story, but it lacked some of the comedy that the other one had. I felt sorry for Sammy and her life. The love triangle isn't really what it looks like. I absolutely LOVED Noah! He was the perfect book boyfriend and I was so glad when Sammy finally allowed herself to SEE him. This was a cute story and I hope there is another in the series!
The narrators did a great job. I really loved listening to them.

I LOVED this book. The story was so good and it was so funny and relatable. Sammy is a recently divorced mom of 2 crazy young boys and I loved her story with Noah. He is so amazing and my new fav book boyfriend. I listened it the audible book and they delivered the story wonderfully!
