Did not receive/read in time due to technical error on kindle/tablet. Not having left feedback has due to error has impacted my shelves. Leaving 4 stars.

I did not have a chance to read this book, but it is effecting my feedback rating. I am giving books 5 stars that I haven't read to improve my feedback rating. I am not recommending the book for my classroom or students since I have not read the book. There needs to be a better system of leaving feedback for books not read.

The story continues and I’m so emotionally invested...not sure if I should feel good about rooting for David and Olivia or if it says something about me that I AM rooting for them.

Reading this book (series) is long overdue, just as I stated in my review of the first...but honestly, I’d been in a bit of funk lately and these books have completely eradicated that!

As Olivia battles internal demons, and abusive words from people who claim to love her, the only person she can turn to is the one she keeps trying to push away. I have never been more thankful for Gretchen than I was in this book...she proved what true friendship is, and when things turn sour, Gretchen is Olivia’s safe haven and sounding board.

You see, this series is more than just about infidelity and happily ever after with the new guy. Hawkins writes with such depth to her characters that you can’t help but fall in love. The backstory, the heartbreaks, the emotional torture...it’s worth losing sleep, not leaving the couch, and reading until the words are blurry and physically can’t anymore.

Stay tuned for the finale...I’ve finished book 3 and I’m floating.

**4.5 City Light Lovers, Stars**
