If you like fast-paced, messy, con artist families and relationships then you should give this a try. I did not really enjoy this book but I think others especially fans of the author's other works will have a good time with this one. I liked the plot, the con artist world but unfortunately, i didn't think it panned out in a way that I liked with the characters. I would still recommend this book, the writing is good and there's action, tension, and steam though it just wasn't for me. Thank you Berkley for this arc for an honest review.

Thank you, NetGalley and Berkeley Publishing for this ARC. I truly enjoy Krista and Becca Richie’s writing. I read through their addicted series and enjoyed every minute of it. This new series had definitely taken me for a wild ride and it’s fantastic. This book is everything that I love it has great relatable characters , humor, mystery, suspense, romance, and spice, it has it all. I only wish the entire series was available for purchase right now. I highly recommend all the books that Krista and Becca Richie write and this book is definitely on the top of my list. I will continue to read all of their books !

I was so hyped to get my hands on this book by the Richie sisters. The premise sounded so fresh and unlike anything I've ever read. The first few chapters had me totally hooked, dying to find out what went down in that job that made them quit being con artists and why Phoebe and Rocky weren't already a thing. I thought it had the potential to be a 5-star read. But dang, I was wrong. I'm so bummed that I didn't enjoy it. I just couldn't connect with the characters, you know? Maybe as more books in the series come out, that connection will grow. It's such a letdown because I'm a huge fan of the addicted series

I loved the idea of this book more than its execution. I never fully connected to either of the main characters and found Phoebe especially to be immature and not that likable. Rocky is a bit all over the place with his thoughts and the way he acts, so I can’t say I was 100% behind their supposed chemistry. I would’ve appreciated more moments with them connecting now, instead of being told how in love they were with each other through flashbacks and past jobs they went on. I was expecting excitement and thrill from them being con artists, but none of that played a real part in where the characters are at now in their lives, so it ended up feeling pointless and disjointed in the end. I wanted to like this, but it just fell flat for me unfortunately.

I hadn't read anything by these authors prior. While, this wasn't one of my favorite reads, I do believe several of our library patrons will fall in love!

I honestly did love the addicted series and I think I need to give it another try after finishing this book! I really did love this book so much, it was hard because my brothers name is Braedon so the name block was hard for me but the nickname helped so much!

The plot, the characters everything was just how I expected and ate it up non the less! I'm having trouble putting my thoughts into words because this was truly like any book I've ever read. I love Becca and Kristina's ability to create amazing, realistic characters that leaves the reader able to relate.

Reading any of their books feels like a cozy home but this one in-particularly. Definitely a must read in my book!!!

Okay so this book is about a family of con artists so at first I was like ewww because nobody likes con artists right? But then I realized they were forced into this by family and that the people they con are often elites who are horrible people, so then I was like okay maybe I can get behind this. 😂

There were a lot of characters so at first I was a little confused, but this is going to be a series, so that will definitely be easier over time, that’s the only reason for my one star deduction.

Other than that, I really enjoyed the story, I think that the 2nd book will be even better, because the last 100 pages had so much going on and left on a cliffhanger.

There were also flashbacks throughout the book to their younger lives and previous cons which I really enjoyed and helped to provide background of their relationships.

Also the chemistry between Phoebe and Rocky was through the roof!! Can’t wait to see more of them in the future.

“I’ve always been dishonestly yours. And it looks like that’s not changing.”

The angst. The tension. The chemistry. The banter. This was so good!!

At first I was hesitant because a story about two con artists is sure to be filled with lying and deceiving and I wasn’t sure how that would work out, but the thing is those two would lie and deceive everyone except each other and that was everything to me. Deceiving and lying is their natural instinct, but when it comes to their feelings towards each other they’ve always been honest and true. They won’t act on their feelings, but it has always been there.

“Divorced?” I whisper to phoebe. “What happened to wanting to live honestly.?”
“I honestly feel like you’re my ex-husband.”

Rocky and phoebe’s relationship and dynamic was so good. The angst, tension, chemistry, and banter were everything! I loved these two so much and I felt so much for them. They have a weird but strong bond. I loved how protective they both were for those they love. I loved how they didn’t lie about their feelings even if they fought against them and believed it won’t be possible to turn into something.

The beginning was kinda slow, but the story was so interesting and enjoyable to read. The characters were flawed and three dimensional. I loved them all, and ugh I hate their parents so much!! But that bond and the found family trope was everything.

Rocky and I, together, are a volcanic eruption. One that’ll never end, not until the whole world is coated in magma.

The last ten percent was crazy and the ending got me feeling so mad that I don’t have the second book! I grew so emotionally attached to those characters and their journey and I desperately want more. This was such a ride and it truly have potential to turn into a really enjoyable series.

This landed somewhere between 2 and 2.5 stars for me. I loved the concept and thought it started off well enough. Two members of two elaborate con-families wanting to move to a small coastal time to live a normal, crime-less life. However, pretty early on I started having issues. For people who have been committing crimes, especially crimes of deception, for almost their whole lives, they were honestly terrible about hiding their feelings. So many inappropriate (and frankly unrealistic) conversations happening, especially with Rocky and Phoebe. The first landlord scene was true standout. But truly, I don't know if I have been less invested in a main couple than I was with Rocky and Phoebe by the end. The "tension" was not well-written and the psuedo-love triangle was poorly handled.

However, I really did like all the siblings, I liked the town and I liked various other small aspects of the story. It's why I didn't DNF. It just felt like it kept missing the mark when given the opportunity to hit it.

This was... fine. The story started off strong enough but lost its steam and some of the plot. To me, it felt like it jumped to SO many tropes. to throw a few out there, forbidden romance, best friends' brother and fake dating. The fake dating one came completely out of left field and was over as quick as it happened. Pacing was off, and parts felt really choppy between Rocky and Pheobe. I can't say I would continue this series, even with the huge cliffhanger.

Thank you so much to Berkley and Netgalley for a chance to read Dishonestly Yours as an ARC!! I adore Krista and Becca Ritchie and was so excited to see a new release from them- Dishonestly Yours is such a unique premise and different from what I expected, but in a good way. Con-artist (?) romance is just not something I ever thought I'd be diving into, but hey, here we are!

I am giving this book 3.5/5 stars (rounded to 4 for Goodreads/Netgalley purposes), but I am pretty confident that I will like the next books in the series even more (which is also how I felt about the Addicted series). I will most definitely be purchasing a physical copy for myself and reading the next book in the series, and I'm so glad I got a chance to read this early! Dishonestly Yours releases in early July, and I can't wait for it to be out in the world!

This book took all the best elements from Krista and Becca Ritchie's beloved Addicted/Calloway series and put them all into a new, exciting, and dramatic series setup. Found family, jealousy, tension, secrets, angst, flawed characters; this book truly has it all!!! All the elements of romance from KBRitchie that we know and love, plus small town and mystery???? Sign me up.

I adore Phoebe, Hailey, and Rocky and each of their individual personalities and strengths, and I'm really looking forward to future books to get to know the other siblings better. I would characterize Phoebe as a combination of Rose and Lily's personalities; and Rocky as Connor and Lo combined. But, each of them are so uniquely their own character and so easy to love already. Rocky is the definition of "I hate everyone but you" for Phoebe, who would go to the ends of the Earth for those she loves. The TENSION throughout the entire book between them was torturously amazing, and I'm so excited to see how they blossom in future books.

Given that this is the first book in the series, it had a lot of background information to cover that made the plot a little slower at times; but it overall kept me on my toes and especially after the ending threw my brain into a blender; I can't wait for future books!!

Thank you to NetGalley for providing an e-arc for an honest review ♡♡

As a huge fan of the Addicted series, Dishonestly Yours was one of my most anticipated reads in 2024 and it did NOT disappoint!

This book features everything I love from KB Ritchie - angst, found family, and characters that I can easily connect with. The plot is so unique in the romance space and I cannot wait to continue this series!

It's been a while since I've read a Ritchie sisters' novel, but I remembered enjoying their writing and thought I'd try out Dishonestly Yours when it popped up in my NetGalley feed. I went in to the novel totally blind and, honestly, it took me a few chapters to settle in and feel like I understood my surroundings. Another bit of honesty? I found this cast of characters to be pretty unlikeable at first...but I think that's what they wanted us to feel...like who the heck are these people and why are they so scammy? If you're feeling like that, I would suggest that you keep reading. Phoebe and Rocky and their gang of misfits (aka, their siblings) start to become people you like, as you get to know and understand how and why they are the way they are. As a matter of fact, I became so absorbed in their story that the ending (that ending!) snuck up on me and I felt really very disappointed that I'd have to wait to get more of their story. I felt like I was just getting to know them and like them and then BAM! the last word is there and I'm just like dammit! I need more!

I love it when that happens; when a novel that I feel a little uncertain about turns into a page turner that I can't put down. I need more Phoebe, Rocky, their siblings, and this dysfunctional town ASAP, Ritchie sisters!

I have ADORED every book I have read from Krista and Becca Ritchie so I was thrilled to be able to read their latest novel! Dishonestly Yours is the first installment in their brand-new series and right off the bat, I have to say it’s an absolute must-read! This romance novel manages to be darkly sweet and heartwarming edgy all at the same time!

"Dishonestly Yours" isn't just a book—it's a rollercoaster ride of emotions! Krista and Becca Ritchie have masterfully crafted a world where drama, angst, and romance collide, leaving this reader staying up way past my bedtime. With twists and characters who defy convention, this book is a five-star marvel that will leave you craving for more. Get ready to be hooked from the very first page, because this series is an absolute must-read!

this idea is definitely a fun and interesting way to start a new romance series. i was quite invested and intrigued by the first 45% of the book, but once we discovered what happened during 'The Job That Shall Not Be Named,' I feel like a lot of the tension was lost and the plot was less interesting.

for a story surrounding 2 major con artist families, the angst wasn't really... angst'ing ? If that makes sense. it kinda lost my attention by the end and I stopped caring about the romance.

I am definitely interested in future books in this world! I want to know more about what happens next within both of these 2 con artist families (and if Hailey ends up with her own love story).

Krista and Becca Ritchie always have fun and unique romance books and this was no exception.

I love the concept of a family of con artists that include the heists, cons, fun shenanigans and it had this eerie start to the book that immediately hooks you. you're left wondering what's going to happen and there is so much angst and tension that really adds to the book. It was like one big found family of heists and getaway cars.

Phoebe is just so smart and interesting. She plays her role so well yet we see the darker and sadder side of the things she's forced and grew up doing and how that affected her. Rocky is just so grumpy and cynical but also so sweet and protective and will do anything for her and his family. Their relationship dynamic was so fun to watch them slowly fall for each other and become each others comfort. I thought their relationship was so sweet and well done. This book is so fun, page turning and I hope to see more of them in the series as it continues.

I’ve been a fan of Krista and Becca Ritchie for almost five years now, ever since I read Addicted to You. I have read almost all of their books by now and they never cease to amaze me, I love how realistic their books are, how flawed and deep their characters act, it always makes for a compelling read.

Dishonesty Yours is everything I was expecting and more, there’s so much drama, anger, love, angst I couldn’t stop reading it and honestly I can’t wait for the next book.

Phoebe and Hailey were raised by a con artist family, deceiving rich folks and stealing their money are all they ever known, but after a job gone wrong Hailey convinces Phoebe they need a fresh start. so the best friends move to a small town in the middle of Connecticut, so they can live the normal life they never had the chance before, but it’s not so easy to do so especially because Rocky, Hailey older brother decides to tag along and his and Phoebe’s relationship are a very tension filled one.

Rocky and Phoebe relationship reminded me a bit of Lily and Lo’s one, from Addicted to You, as in they have that childhood friends-to-lovers, epic type of romance, even if it’s also filled with snark remarks and tension, I’m glad their story isn’t over, it’s seems the next book is going to continued with them as the protagonists and I can’t wait to see what Krista and Becca have in store for us!

Thanks Netgalley and Berkley for sending me an arc in exchange for an honest review
