Not for me. I'm sorry, I could not get on board. I was totally hooked on the tension between them, but man, It felt like they kept teasing us with the question of whether they would end up together or not, and it went on for way too long.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to be able to read and review this book!

In Dishonestly Yours, they follow Rocky and Phoebe, who come from different con families. They have been complicit in crime, lying and scamming in several cities. But when a scam goes wrong, Hailey, Rocky's sister and Phoebe's best friend, decides she wants to get out of it and convince Phoebe to join her and start a new life in a small town in Connecticut. Rocky catches up to them and decides to stay.
.
Phoebe and Hailey chose a rich coastal town for their new life, but this town is full of people who would be the perfect victims for these scammers and are a great temptation. We meet a couple of the townspeople and on the surface they seem quite modest and harmless but the further the story goes you start to realize that there is a lot more beneath the surface and these townspeople have a lot of secrets of their own that I'm desperate to discover.
.
Rocky and Phoebe's relationship and dynamic were very good. They have a strange but strong bond. I loved how protective they both were of their loved ones. I loved that they didn't lie about their feelings, even if they fought against them and believed it wouldn't be possible to become something.
.
Hailey, Nova, Oliver, and Trevor were great supporting characters in this book and I really hope we get books for all of them. They are very intriguing and I definitely want to get to know each of them better. There's a lot of potential for this to become one of my favorite found families.
.
Overall, I have been completely hooked by this book series since the first book. There are elements of their previous writing, characters, and the overall vibe we all know and love about Krista and Becca, so if you're nervous about diving into their work outside of the addictive series, I think you should dive headfirst into this amazing new series. 'Webs We Weave'. Especially if the found family was what drew them to the Calloways, they surely won't miss any of this!

A group of con artists stole my heart and made it theirs to keep… welcome to the summer of lies, love, and KBR ❤️
When all the lying becomes too painful, will the truth be enough to set you free? In a time when a lot of romances have started to feel same, Dishonestly Yours is anything but predictable. Phoebe and Rocky’s love hits you like a ball of darkness that explodes into a brilliant light! To uncover this con, you have to wade through a lifetime of deception; but damn, I’ve never loved the lies more!! 🍓🕷️
Dishonestly Yours is the incredible first book in a new series from Krista and Becca Ritchie! I was honestly hooked from the first chapter and the introduction to this world felt fluid, organic, and never forced! I felt the lies and the truths and everything in between to the depths of my soul and I loved every single second spent with these characters! I have read the book numerous times and I still don’t know what I can say to adequately express how I feel about the book, its characters, the concept, and the trajectory of the whole series… I became lost in a world of lies that lead to so many truths I was unprepared to learn through all the twists and turns! This book was filled with flawed characters, heart wrenching angst, and the familial bonds that readers have grown to love from Krista and Becca’s books!
I believed in Rocky and Phoebe from the very beginning because their constant honesty with one another contrasted so starkly to the lies all around them… they may speak in half-truths to one another at times, but their internal self-honesty felt like a breath of fresh air in a book that left you guessing everyone’s motives and whether the words they spoke rang true or were meant as a deception. I became invested in their feelings and emotions as well as their connection to one another! They feel like two halves of a whole that have yet to figure out how they fit together in this life that has been crafted and molded for one specific purpose; to deceive for personal gain. Their depths and complexities as individuals were seen most inside of their heads, where the truth felt safe and the lies seemingly couldn’t touch them… their moments of vulnerability felt authentic and necessary for the development of the story and their characters and gave us such an understanding of what makes them tick, who they are, and who they truly want to be!
The love between Rocky and Phoebe made me gasp, cry, and smile, made my heart hurt for the struggles in the past and the decisions that left them in their current situation, and made me have to set down the book and walk away for a minute so I could breathe and try to contain my excitement at what would happen next! They poked and prodded each other and goaded the other into admitting truths, all the while fanning the flames of desires with undeniable chemistry and a history of friendship, struggles, and an innate love that feels like it could move mountains if they needed it to!
Phoebe and Rocky’s siblings were fun and dramatic and such a character study on how different siblings can be but how that doesn’t lessen the ferocity of their love, devotion to one another, and the trust they put in each other above all others, even when they disagree… the six of them felt like such a core unit that, over time, has become this force that lives in falsities but thrives because of each other… Hailey, Trevor, Nova and Oliver each bring so much to Phoebe and Rocky’s story and the past between them shows their flaws and humanity so well that you root for the six of them to succeed and remain united!
The twists and the turns made me feel like I was one of the authors’ marks, like they were running a con on me just like the characters do to the unsuspecting in their world. Just when I felt for sure I knew what was true, BAM! - I’d get the rug pulled out from under me but in the best possible way! And the ending?? It was the perfect series of cliffhangers that leaves the reader wanting and NEEDING more from the Graves and Tinrock families! It left me with more questions than answers and the desire for the next book now sits heavily on my chest in anticipation of what is going to become of my new favorite group of con artists!! And what’s next for Rocky and Phoebe? The world feels like it could be theirs but is that just another lie in the webs they weave?
I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys flawed yet redeemable characters, strong family bonds, love stories with serious angst mixed with a complicated past and an uncertain future, and a plot full of twists and turns that keep you guessing throughout the entire book! If you’ve loved Krista and Becca’s other books (Addicted, Calloway Sisters, Like Us), you won’t be disappointed with adding Dishonestly Yours and the Webs We Weave series to your lives!! The characters are complex and diverse and each contain so much heart you feel them jumping off the pages and leave you wanting to wrap them all in your arms to keep them safe! This book is exactly what we’ve come to love and expect from Krista and Becca in developing relatable characters, stories that make you think and feel deeply, and a world that you’ll want to dive into again and again!! These two authors continue to remind me why I love reading books: I get to enter a complex world that doesn’t feel like my own but is familiar and loved all the same. Krista and Becca always leave a piece of their hearts in their novels and it shows in every scene, every storyline, every character. They make it so you can’t help but fall in love with what they have so beautifully created and long for what they will come up with next!
I received an eARC from Krista and Becca and all thoughts and opinions are my own

This is my first Krista and Becca Ritchie book, and I had mixed feelings about Dishonestly Yours. The story follows Phoebe, a con artist trying to leave her criminal past behind alongside her best friend, Hailey—who happens to be the sister of Phoebe’s love interest, Rocky. The dynamic between Rocky and Phoebe is complicated, filled with push-and-pull interactions that can be both frustrating and entertaining. I appreciated the banter and angst, even if it sometimes felt a bit repetitive. Rocky, with his intriguing personality reminiscent of Loren Hale, stood out for me, while Phoebe’s character still feels a bit elusive.
I enjoyed the supporting characters, especially Hailey and the rest of the family, who added depth to the story. However, I couldn’t shake the feeling that some elements fell flat. The relationship between Phoebe and Rocky, while hinted to be deep, often felt surface-level. The flashbacks to their past cons, intended to add context, felt unnecessary and didn’t enhance the overall experience for me.
The tension of their “will they, won’t they” relationship became tiresome, with Phoebe’s immaturity and Rocky’s hot-and-cold demeanor hindering my connection to them. Although I liked Hailey and Jake as side characters, I’m starting to question if this author duo’s style resonates with me. Overall, while I enjoyed aspects of the book, I’m left feeling uncertain about continuing with their works.

4/5 ⭐️
KBR is never a let down! Being in a different world besides the Core Eight/Kids was definitely weird. But I must say that the dynamic of these characters was great. Can’t wait for the next one in the series!!

THIS WAS SO MUCH FUN. I am a big fan of the authors and did not know what to expect when I dove into this new release and was so surprised, in a fantastic way! Thrilling, swoony, fast paced. I am so excited for this new series.

I liked this book a lot, but it was missing something for me. I really enjoyed the family drama and the romance between the two main characters, but I feel like it took a bit for the plot to actually kick in. The cliffhanger really got me, though, so I'm dying to see what happens for all of the characters next.

Okay, where do I even begin? I ate this book up. Like literally devoured it in less than 24 hours. From page 1 I was hooked, it was honestly one of those moments where I wish I had no responsibilities and no children! (I love them, I swear).
I absolutely loved how this was written, you all know I love a book that jumps between timelines, that has a dual POV & a bad boy. But to make this even better the FMC was also badass and subsequently turned me on just as much. Phoebe & Rocky are our two grumpy con artists that we follow on their path of love. If you love enemies to lovers, well this book is for you. The tension, next level - I swear I could cut it with a knife. The angst, was just perfection and had me reeling. The ‘if I can’t have you, no one can’ vibe absolutely slapped and had my jaw on the floor.
Phoebe, my babe. I wish she was my girlfriend, in every sense of that word. She was hot and I absolutely loved her character, she was a badass and I wish I had her balls. She was a seductress, so you can imagine in the world of being a con artist, how she’d be treated in that role. My heart ached for her and her level of self worth. However, she’s strong and so so damn resilient.
Rocky … angry, sexy, cynical, sarcastic & oozing with confidence - need I say more? Wait, I can protective. The way he cares for Phoebe, was just like the cherry on a sexy chocolate cake.
I’m not saying anymore other than you need to read this book, it was one of the best books I’ve read this year. It’s top tier and now has me questioning why I haven’t read the Addicted series yet!
𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘬 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘰 𝘝𝘢𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘗𝘙, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘳 & 𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘳𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘤!

"I've always been dishonestly yours."
Krista and Becca Ritchie have been on my top 10 favourite authors ever since I started the Addicted/Calllaway Sisters series, so you can only imagine my excitement when I got an ARC for their newest release. Better yet, I was searching for a best friend's brother for the longest time so it kinda felt like destiny that this book dropped on my hands - or my kindle if we're being specific.
I haven't read anything from KB Ritchie except for the firsst 5 books of the Addicted Universe so I didn't know what to expect of this book. One thing I can tell you - I didn't expect to love it as much as I did. This book just became one of my top 10 of this year.
So let's talk about it.
1) Plot
If you're skeptical about the plot like I was, don't be! This book was so original, so new. Usually when you have "criminals" in a book as main characters it is usually a dark romance but this one isn't (or at least I don't consider it). It gives off the same vibes as addicted and maybe it's because it's written by the same people but the truth is, this book might be even better than the best book in addicted (which for me, right now, is kiss the sky).
2) Characters
Oh, I don't think I have ever loved characters this much ever since Shatter Me. I truly cared for this characters and I felt like I've known them for decades even though it took me 2 days to read this book. Phoebe and Rocky but also Nova, Hailey, Oliver and Trevor - I loved all of them with my whole heart and I cannot wait to read more from them and spend more time with them. I don't understand how I can love this characters so much, having known them for only 400 pages.
3) Plot twists and fun things
Were there plot twists? Yes. Was I expecting them? Yes. Did I know what was gonna happen? No. And I loved it. This book was more than just a simple romance and I think that was what made it even better for me. My heart was constantly leaping of my chest with excitement for what was gonna happen next.
4) Others
Obviously, and this is something I've felt with both addicted and magnolia parks, I love non-fantasy series with books that are related to each other - what I mean is NOT interconnected stand-alones but actually having more than one book about the same characters, and I do suspect (and I'm basically sure) that's what KB Ritchie plan on doing with this series and than honestly made me like it even more because even though I love every character, I'm not ready to push Rocky and Phoebe to the background. I wanna know more about them and I wanna explore their past and their future, so I'm very excited for the next book.
If it wasn't clear enough after all of this - I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!

I LOVED THIS BOOK! K&B just never miss. I love how raw and real the characters were. Theyre messy and human and i wouldnt want it any other way! This story was so intriguing, i felt like i was staring at a train wreck and just couldnt look away!

10/10 this book was so good omg. k&b ritchie always wrote such rich worlds & there is so much depth to the story. i loved rocky & phoebe. the whole premise of this story was so cool & i can’t wait to see how it continues!

The mastermind.
The seductress.
The silver tongue.
The chameleon.
The getaway.
The psychopath.
Includes: best friend's brother, morally grey characters, two con artist families, fake married/divorced couple, childhood friends to lovers, manipulative parents, found family, small town mystery, angst and tension
I am SO excited and grateful that I got an early arc of this book because K&B are two of my favourite authors. The Addicted/Calloway sisters series is so close to my heart and it's so cool that we're starting a new chapter and universe filled with brand new characters
Krista and Becca's writing is addictive from the very first page, and like a chocolate bar you don't want to put down.
This was a little bit more gritty than their other books and felt like a whole other side to their writing which I absolutely loved experiencing. I also absolutely loved the small Fizzle mention <3
Phoebe and Rocky...! love these two! Phoebe is slowly reclaiming herself and finding self love again after some horrible experiences and people. They're both scared and reluctant to be together for multiple reasons. So there's a good bit of slow burn, tension and will they...won't they in this book
Loved getting to know Hailey, Nova, Oliver, Trevor and Jake and I hope they each get their own book too. The ending though... I'm dying to know what happens nextt! I'm already missing these characters and the Webs we weave world.
Can't wait for book 2

I liked this a lot! It just felt like it was missing something for me—there was a lot of build up for the job gone bad in the past and then it felt like that tension didn’t really pay off. Then, quite quickly, two other high-stake subplots were brought in via Jake’s sister and Trevor’s past. Because of this and the ending, it felt a bit like not enough time was spent on those plot points to make them have the necessary emotional impact.

OMG the first in the Ritchie's new series was fantastic! Dishonestly Yours left me with a dropped jaw and gasping for air

Dishonestly Yours is everything we needed for a deceptively cunning read, following two best friends who’s families are intertwined in more ways than one.
Phoebe and Hailey are best friends, their families are on the run, con artists that move from one city to the next and never stay put.
After a harrowing con gone wrong, the girls decide to split from the family and settle down in a small town in Connecticut that feels too good to be true.
Hailey’s brother joins them as they leave the con life behind, to make sure his sister is safe and that this is what she actually wants. It has nothing to do with his confusing relationship with Phoebe, that neither of them can admit or accept.
I enjoyed the high society life that is portrayed by the families with each con, even though you would assume con artists are lower class and struggling to get by. The glitz and glam that made the con lifestyle seem like a dream come true was enticing and almost made you want to join them.
Phoebe is constantly used by her mother to trick men with her body or seduction, but she doesn’t see it that way. She believes her mother is doing what she can to protect her, the families and the business. Rocky knows what he’s always wanted, but what he can never have: Phoebe. She will not allow her mother to be given that power over the two of them. Being used in cons because they love one another? Absolutely not. So they cannot act on their feelings, no matter what they feel for another.
I was reminded of The Great Gatsby parties, lifestyle and luxury, plus the mystery of trying to figure out what went wrong on “the con that shall not be named” that has Phoebe and Rocky so messed up.
Truly could not put this down and had it complete in a few reading sessions. Cannot wait for the next, Destructively Mine.

*Dishonestly Yours* by Krista and Becca Ritchie is a captivating addition to the series, blending humor, romance, and emotional depth in a way that keeps readers thoroughly engaged. The authors have a remarkable ability to create complex characters, and in this installment, the chemistry between the leads is palpable and delightful.
The plot twists and turns keep the story fresh, and the witty dialogue adds a lighthearted touch to the more serious moments. I appreciated how the authors tackled themes of trust and vulnerability, making the characters’ journeys relatable and heartfelt.
While some subplots felt slightly rushed, the overall pacing of the narrative was engaging, and the emotional payoff was well worth it. The rich world-building and supporting characters added depth to the story, making it a well-rounded read.
Overall, *Dishonestly Yours* is an entertaining and thought-provoking novel that fans of the authors will love. It's a perfect mix of romance and real-life struggles, leaving readers eagerly anticipating what comes next.

I don't know how KBR makes me care about so many characters at one time, but they have truly perfected it. And that's honestly what I read their books for - the characters drive the stories, the plot is just extra fun.

For years, I’d heard so many amazing things about Krista & Becca Ritchie that I knew I had to check out their latest release, Dishonestly Yours, and I have to say—the praise is well deserved!
First and foremost, the writing was phenomenal. From the very first sentence, I didn’t feel like I was reading a book at all, especially with these characters. They were so vivid they practically leapt off the page.
I’ve never read tension quite as exhilarating as the tension between Rocky and Phoebe. The scenes where they introduced each other to others, with the low-key (but not really low-key) jealousy, had me screaming. The slow burn was definitely burning, and their push-and-pull dynamic was intoxicating in the best way!
I loved the chemistry and back-and-forth banter between Rocky and Phoebe, the family dynamics with the siblings, and the characters as a whole. More than anything, I loved watching the story unfold. The concept was so interesting: growing up in a family of con artists, the implications of exploitation and deception, that leads them to grow resentful of their upbringing and want out of the family business. Watching them, two people shaped by lies, navigate their way beyond the fabrications to find themselves—both individually and together—was incredibly heartfelt. I was practically a blubbering mess for most of it and when I wasn’t, I was dying over their sizzling chemistry.
The only con (hehe see what I did there) would be that the book felt a bit too long, and some parts dragged—mainly the flashback intervals. Though they are important to understand the full scope of Rocky and Phoebe’s relationship, the pacing could’ve flowed a bit better in my opinion. But honestly I was so invested in the characters and the ‘will they won’t they’ dynamic that it still continued to consume my thoughts despite the lulling.
And the ending completely blew me away. Without spoiling anything, I’ll just say I cannot wait for the next book, it’s literally all I think about!
Overall, Dishonestly Yours was an addicting, emotional rollercoaster, and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves a gripping romance with amazing character development and unforgettable tension.
