I am honestly amazed and captivated with the authors because this book was so bingeable, fun and interesting. I have never read anything like it before. It felt like watching a tv show. It was hard to put it down because there were so many things happening and it kept me on my seat.

I loved the characters: they were complex and unique in their own way. They had their own struggles and the whole dynamic / relationships between Phoebe, Hailey and Rocky was the perfect example of how found family should be. I loved it. I had a great time. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

Krista and Becca have done it again! This book is hot and filled with so much tension and mystery and banter. RED THIS BOOK!!! You'll never see the plot twist coming and the ending will have you on the edge of your seat.

My God, THE FEELS!!!! What an amazing start to the series. Though, this is little different than the other books by the author but definitely amazing all the same. The angst, the tension, the engaging plot; everything about this book had me hooked since the very beginning. I can’t wait enough to see in which direction this goes.

This new series by Krista and Becca Ritchie is sure to be a hit with romance readers. Personally, I didn’t love it but still want to see where the story goes with the next book. I found myself skimming at some parts that felt repetitive. I like the idea and of course the cover art is divine.

Messy angst love, lots of money, family drama. This book was impossible to put down. Both pheobe and rocky are such complex characters and I can’t wait to see what happens next in they’re story

This title is the first in this series and contains a lot of background building. This is the first title I have read from the authors and it did take me a while to get through. The writing and story was okay, I think the characters were just a little too young for me, the situations they had been through just seemed very far fetched.

Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this title!

This book was so fun to read! i’ve never read anything like it before. I loved the unique idea of these con artists wanting to start fresh and anew.. and struggling not to continue to be caught up in lies. I enjoyed that the authors incorporated chapters of previous heists/cons pulled throughout the years giving the readers an inside of what that dynamic was like.

This book had so much angst and tension. It was a constant push and pull between Phoebe and Rocky. They have such a special connection/relationship and never know where they stand with one another. The friend group/found family was also great, cant wait to see more of that in the next installment. After that cliffhanger.. I need the next book like tomorrow!

Thank you to NetGalley and Berkley for the ARC!

4.5 stars

I don’t know where to start but I guess I need to say first that I wasn’t expecting this from Krista and Becca. What I mean is that I’m used to the Addicted series, it’s sweet, it’s welcoming and joyful. Not a lot of pain just a good time. And I love that ok but THIS ??? The angst ??? The tension ???? The pain ???? I was not ready for that and I’ll send my therapy bills to them.
It was so so good and such a good book to start this new phenomenal series (i’m certain it’ll become a favourite for a lot of people). The characters have so much depth as always and the way it’s written is so gripping! I love the way there’s a bit of a thriller/mystery vibe to it.
And the romance ? to die for. Guys if you loved Magnolia Parks, this is for you. It’s painful but so sweet at the same time it hurts. I’m so excited for the next books in the series!

I absolutely devoured this book! This is the first book from Krista & Becca that I've read that wasn't the Addicted/Calloway sisters series. It is a little slower, but I am excited to see where the series goes.
Also can we talk about this cover? It is amazing!

I will post a full review soon on goodreads and instagram! Thank you for the ARC!

kbr’s books mean the world to me, so i was unbelievably excited to start their new series. this was sooo different from their previous books but in the best way — i LOVED it. it was so unique and had me hooked from page one, i could not put it down. the plot was paced so well and i found myself thoroughly engaged throughout the entire story (which is slightly rare for me). also, the romance was to DIE FOR. i love rocky and phoebe’s relationship, it felt so special and unique compared to a lot of the romances i read these days. i have a feeling i won’t be able to stop thinking about this one and i can’t wait to share more of my thoughts online once it’s out!

YALL. THIS. BOOK. I was super nervous going into this because I haven’t read a Krista and Becca book that doesn’t revolve around the core 6 from Addicted/Calloway due to my love and dedication to that series. But this DID NOT disappoint one bit.

This book is giving drama. It’s addicting. It’s undeniably creative. It can be so hard these days to come up with a book idea (especially one marketed as a romance) that hasn’t been done before. But I have truly never read anything like this before, and I ate up every bit. In the words of my friend Taylor, Krista and Becca are lowkey in their thriller era. 🕸️🕷️🍓

I absolutely flew through this book. Krista and Becca know how to write spice, complex characters that you deeply want to root for, and a hot headed MMC that I will undoubtedly start pining for (🤰🧎🏻‍♀️me after literally any scene with Rocky). I loved the flashbacks where we got to see the cons the characters and their families were doing in the past. Honestly, I truly think that this series could MAYBE be on par with the Addicted/Calloway series for a lot of people (perhaps even myself??) 🤭🤭

I don’t want to talk too much about the plot and details of the story too much since there’s still 5 months until release, so this is all I will say for now. Everyone preorder this book because you won’t regret it one bit. I need book 2 now!!!!

Thank you Berkley and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions.

I’m somewhere between a 4.25 - 4.5 for this book and I can’t decide! But I LOVED this. If you know me you know Addicted / Calloway is my favorite series of all time so I was dying for a new book by my favorite ladies.

This one did not disappoint!!! I was glued to this book, couldn’t put it down. The best way I can put this is it was pure entertainment. I literally felt like I was watching some kind of reality tv with how wild and entertaining this book was.

As always, I love KBR’s writing. It’s so engaging and entertaining and they really pulled me right into this story. I’ve never really read a story about ex con artists wanting to make a new life for themselves so this was a first for me, but I think they did an excellent job. I loved the flashback chapters to previous jobs to kind of give me a feeling of Phoebe and Rocky as characters and some insight on their history together.

As for the characters, I really loved everyone we were introduced to. I loved how badass Phoebe was, her friendship with Hailey, and the TENSION and ANGST between her and Rocky. I didn’t feel a 100% connection to these characters yet but I get the gut feeling that I will as the series goes on. I’m already pretty invested in this story and these characters, and with that ENDING? Go ahead and give me the second book. I’m sold!

Thank you Berkley for the early copy in exchange for my review :)

I am between a 4-4.5/5 on this! I think I’m still processing my thoughts and full feelings because #1 this was a wild, wild ride of a book #2 this is very different than anything I have read before in a positive way. I really admire KBR’s creativity in making almost “unconventional” romance series, and I see SO MUCH potential in this series. For a first book in a series, this 100% fit the bill for me. We follow Rocky and Phoebe, childhood friends who grow up together participating in con heists because of their mothers, as they attempt to break away and have a chance at living a normal life in a small coastal town. I felt like KBR built the setting and the how/why of Rocky and Phoebe’s con artist families really seamlessly. From the moment I picked up this book I was entertained up until the very end which had me gasping!

I don’t think we are 100% there yet on the characters and the family dynamics, but not in a bad way. I really enjoyed getting to know Phoebe and Rocky and their angsty and sweet dynamic, in addition snippets of their respective siblings. I can totally see where we are going and the band of brothers we are to join in for this series and I can't wait for the element of found family I felt was built over the course of this book. I’m not surprised that I didn’t feel 100% here and I definitely see this as a positive thing because I feel like there is still so much to unfold both romantically and plot wise. Because we don’t get 100% right of the gate, I find myself that much more engaged for the next installment in the series.

I loved seeing the different cons their families have pulled off over the years. It felt like I was watching a TV show. This book was giving angst, sensuality, and DRAMA. The slow burn in this romance was amazing & honestly dare I say I feel like is still burning? Also the small coastal town setting with gobs of rich people drama, the PERFECT backdrop to this story 🤌🏻✨ All of this to say, I am SO excited for this series and I need the next one ASAP.

The Addicted series is one of my favorites of all time so I was super excited to read this! It’s also one of the most popular book series in the library where I work so anytime I can add another book by these authors is a great day. It wasn’t exactly what I expected book wise and the romance aspect wasn’t as strong as I was hoping but once I changed my perspective I really enjoyed it. It is a bit info dumping at times but the characters really pulled me in and by the end I was hooked (ahh cliffhanger). Would for sure recommend and will be purchasing for our library!

It was a slower start than some of their other books, but the writing style carries. Fans should be pleased. I stopped after chapter 1 (4%), but likely a solid three to four stars for their fans and five for the right readers.

Thank you to NetGalley and Berkley for the ARC.

Thank you NetGalley and Berkley for the ARC! One of my most anticipated reads of 2024.

Dishonestly Yours was such an entertaining read with tons of twist and turns that literally had me gasping out loud. I love that we got familiar tropes (childhood friends to lovers, fake dating, brother's best friends, etc.) with a refreshing spin due to the unique premise of this book. Our main characters are part of two con artist families who grew up side by side pulling all kinds of scams with their families, usually resulting in swindling people out of a lot of money. It was unlike anything I've read lately.

Phoebe and Rocky are objectively bad people who do a lot of shady stuff, but I love how despite it all, you know that their hearts are truly good. The love and care they had for each other was very sweet and it made it that much harder to watch them refuse to give in and be together. It was angsty and the tension was so good. The build up was perfect and definitely worth the wait.

I like the way the authors revealed more about the character's backgrounds by sprinkling in previous con artist jobs that they'd done in past. It was such a fun way to switch between the past and the present and also a great way to get to know all of the side characters and to understand the dynamic of their families.

I did not expect this book to end on a cliffhanger so BE WARNED. This was definitely a solid start to a new series though and as much as I love the whole Calloway/Addicted universe, it was so cool to see them do something totally new. I see a ton of potential with this new series and I can't wait to see what they do (no, like actually.. I need the next book now). Oh and, I loved the little Addicted/Calloway easter egg hehe. Definitely recommend picking this up on release day!

4.25⭐️
Krista & Becca Ritchie have done it again! When I saw that the premise for this book followed two con-artist families I said sign me up! I also knew that this was a must read book because it was written by two of my favourite authors. While I just finished this book, I’m already chomping at the bit for the sequel because that ending?!? While this book introduces us to the world of cons that are run by the Graves and Tinrocks, there were also so many great tropes in it like found family, childhood friends-to-lovers, slow burn tension, and a dash of mystery. In true Ritchie fashion the main relationship is not going to be an easy one…but it was definitely worth it when the tension finally came to a head ;) My only reservations with this book were that I felt lost at some points and that the introductions to characters/settings was a little choppy and hard to follow, but since there is a mystery element to this book I do feel like that was possibly intentional. Overall I feel like this was the perfect blend of a steamy, angsty, mysterious romance and I’m going to have a new fave series to look out for!

I love KBR and the addicted series is one of my all time favorite series, but this book wasn’t my favorite. I am curious to see where it goes in the series with the other characters. This book just felt like a lot of information being dumped into one book. I was bored for a majority of the book, and didn’t care so much for the romance. As always thank you to Negalley and Berkley for the ARC in exchange for a review! ♥️

Dishonestly Yours was a book that pulled me right in! I’m not usually a fan of the messy and toxic love relationship trope, but this one definitely worked for me. This book was so well written the subject matter is heavy at times
but the authors pulled it off in a way that just worked perfectly.. I was able to binge this book in one day. I found this to be a highly engaging story. I would definitely recommend this book to other readers.
