Dishonestly Yours follows two best friends and former con-artists, Phoebe and Hailey. They both move to a small, affluent town in Connecticut to live a quiet, honest life away from their families. Hailey's protective older brother, Rocky can't stay away and their chance for an honest start in tested by his presence. Phoebe is unsettled for a completely different reason and it has everything to do with forbidden thoughts about her best friend's brother.
At a little under 500 pages, this is a lengthy start to a contemporary series. The pacing was up and down for me — while the concept of con-artists is intriguing there wasn't much action as I was expecting. This book set up a lot of the ground work for the series, so I'm anticipating that the next book will dive right in and progress quicker based on the ending.
I enjoyed the romance, in fact, it was the main appeal in this instalment. Rocky and Phoebe had great chemistry. If you love slow burns and angst, this is for you. Their dynamic is further complicated by their childhood friendship and close family relationship. The timeline was well balanced, with flashback scenes to give you an insight of their history and contained more action-centric scenes from their past jobs. In the current timeline, the will-they-won't-they saga dragged on for too long. When we finally get to the pivotal moment between them, it was worth the wait but it was over too quickly. I'm interested to see how their dynamic will play out in the next book.
I didn't have much of an opinion on Hailey and I think it's mostly because we weren't given enough of an opportunity to get to know her. The story is told in dual POV, split between Rocky and Phoebe. I did care for Phoebe and what she went through. - the story covers some heavier themes. Rocky hates everyone but his sister and Phoebe and I loved how protective and loyal he was. The found family was great, i'm hoping the authors will explore some of the side characters in the future.
Imagine rich, entitled and misogynistic socialites being tricked. What's not to love? I hope to see more of the con-artistry in the next book!
Thank you Valentine PR, NetGalley, Berkley & the author for sending me an advanced reader copy!

Huge thank you to Berkley & Netgalley for the arc!!
There aren’t enough words in the dictionary to describe how much I loved this one!!! If you read & loved the Addicted/Calloway series, especially the found family aspect — imagine it with a little bit of a darker twist of con artists, crime, & lots of tension.
Phoebe Graves is an incredibly well-written female main character. I can’t adequately describe how much depth her character holds or how perfectly crafted she is. She’s feisty, caring, funny, and extremely loyal. The way she loves & cares for those close to her is truly admirable. Her story and trauma is something that makes me want to give her the biggest hug & never let go. I love her so much and I truly think she is such a special character. love love love!!!
Rocky Tinrock blew me out of the water. Imagine a darker, more emotionally hardened Loren Hale, that also happens to be a con artist. He is so well-written. Similarly to Phoebe, he’s extremely loyal, caring, funny & abrasive (in the best way). He holds very few people close to him, but the ones he does, never fail to know how deeply he cares. His depth is absolutely remarkable & heartbreaking. Something about seeing his vulnerability shine through at times had my heart feeling like it was being ripped out of my chest. I love him so much!!! he is so beautifully done.
Phoebe & Rocky’s relationship is complicated at best. It’s full of a convoluted past that has created the dynamic they share. However, the love, care & desire these two have for each other is palpable, to say the least. There is so much passion between these two. Their love for each other runs so incredibly deep that it literally HURTS to read. Their banter, chemistry, and overall story made me cry, blush, and giggle. Their relationship development was so perfect to me!!! I love them soso much & i cannot wait to see where their story goes. They mean so much to me!!!
The overall premise of this book is unlike anything I’ve ever read, personally. The con artist trope is so unique to me & that made it even more enjoyable. It was fast paced, intense, emotional, and truly SO well-done. The ending of this book still has me spiraling mentally and I physically can’t wait another day for the second book!!!

Okay, let me just thank Valentine PR and of course, the wonderful authors of this book, Krista & Becca Ritchie for sending me this arc!
I absolutely love Krista and Becca's stories, I was extremely excited to jump into this whole new one with brand new characters! Right off the bat, I absolutely loved Phoebe and Hailey. I loved their friendship and just how much they would do for one another, even if it meant leaving behind everything they've ever known.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I loved how there was a little bit of mystery surrounding the one con they pulled and surrounding the parents! I loved Rocky as a mmc and I loved that it was dual pov so you saw what Rocky was thinking and feeling. I was so shocked when it ended and I'm so ready to continue reading about these characters and read more about their past and future. I am especially excited to read while these characters unravel all the secrets, and perhaps lies, their parents have told them their whole lives.

Thank you to Valentine PR and Krista and Becca Ritchie for this advanced readers copy and the opportunity to review.
Best friends Phoebe and Hailey have been conning their whole lives with their families. This includes Rocky, Hailey’s older brother and Phoebe’s long time crush. But when they start new in a small Connecticut town, truths unravel after lying for protection.
I would give this book 4 stars. It was edgy, fast paced, suspenseful, and had a sweet slow burn romance you were rooting for from the beginning.
Dishonestly Yours by Krista and Becca Ritchie is available July 2.

I can just tell that this series is going to be a wild ride. I am already so in love with all of these different characters and I can just see the family forming each character has such a different vibe they are bringing to the group and all the twists and turns were amazing. This is such a unique story. I’ve never read anything like it before. Just the premise of two con artist, families that work together on different jobs conning people and communities to benefit themselves. Phoebe and Rocky are just chef’s kiss, the angst and the slow burn was so delicious and then finally at the end it exploding was fabulous. I’m just giddy to continue the series.

Krista and Becca Ritchie did an amazing job writing this book. The cover is stunning, and I knew of them from the Addicted series, so I was excited to read this.
Phoebe and her family have been in the conning business for a very long time. Thank goodness she has her best friend, Hailey, by her side during the tough times. Conning is great, but what if you want to live a normal life? Can Phoebe and the crew leave the con artist world behind and start fresh, or will the past come back to haunt them?
Phoebe and Hailey’s friendship is one you would wish for. They would do literally ANYTHING for each other, and that is shown in this book. Their story was heartfelt and shows what a true best friend relationship is.
Rocky is every woman’s dream, especially Phoebe’s. I love their relationship, how they are there for each other no mather what. They met when they were kids, and have been friends ever since. However, there is more feelings between them that are growing.
This book was amazing. I am not a slow burn gal normally, but the angst between Phoebe and Rocky is *steamy*! I love the tension between them, and their dynamic is so die for. The twists and turns in this book had my jaw on the floor. I was hooked from the first pages and read this book in one sitting.
Overall, I loved the dynamic between characters and enjoyed the backstory about how they became con artists. I cannot wait to see where this story goes, and how the parents come into play. 5 ⭐️ from me!
Thank you to Valentine PR and Krista and Becca Ritchie for letting me read and review this AHMAZING book!

The concept was interesting, where they’re a family full of cons lol. But like the storyline was ehhh but the tension between our MC’s was there.

I got this book as an ARC and I absolutely loved it. I have never read anything with a plot like this one. It was so uniquely gut wrenching the whole time. The tension? Out of this world. I am so in love with these characters and I am devastated that I have no damn clue on when the next books come out. I NEED THEM.

I love the Ritchie twins and when I found out they were releasing this book, I knew I had to read it. This book was a masterpiece and I loved the new story the authors created. The story follows con artists who tried to find normalcy but things are getting out of hand. As a fan of the Addicted series, I loved seeing how the writing style was still the same. It was fun and kept me hooked on the story. I loved the different povs and the alternative timelines so we can learn more about the con artist’s lives. the setting was well done and the pacing was perfect. This book is told from both Pheobe and Rocky’s pov.
Pheobe is known as the seductress whose used for her body and is seen as an object. I loved her character and seeing her development. There are so many lies in her life and she doesn’t know what’s real and if she loves her job or not. Then we have Rocky whose the silver tongue and wants to protect the family he loves. I loved both of these characters and their chemistry. They are amazing together and I just loved the angst, friends to enemies to lovers, and best friend’s brother. Their moments together are so cute and I loved reading how much their con artist life changed them. There are many side characters in this book and like the Addicted, I believe we will be getting their books too.
The ending was a cliffhanger and I just need book 2 right now. After so many secrets are being revealed, I want to know how these characters go on with their lives. This is such a fun story and I love how the authors wrote another series that is perfect for their Addicted fans.
*this e-arc was sent to me by the publisher to give an honest review in return*

Phoebe and Rocky were incredibly complex characters who I LOVED from the start. Krista and Becca knocked it out of the park with this series, and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for them next 🥹

Best friends Phoebe and Hailey were raised by con artists and have been drifters for their entire lives. After their last con job in Carlsbad goes awry for unknown reasons, Hailey convinces Phoebe to make a break from their deceptive families and move to a small town in Connecticut to live an honest life, without conning. But their plans go south right from the get-go when Hailey’s brother Rocky, who has a complicated relationship with Phoebe, insists on accompanying Hailey and Phoebe to Connecticut. Will Hailey, Phoebe, and Rocky be able to stay on the straight and narrow, or will they be sucked back into their parents’ conning lifestyles?
I haven’t read Krista and Becca Ritchie’s popular Addicted or Calloway Sisters series, but I have seen them talked about a lot on social media, so I knew I had to give their newest release, the first book in the Webs We Weave series, a try!
Dishonestly Yours is a dark and suspenseful romance featuring the boy obsessed and forbidden love tropes. It would be perfect for fans of books like Dark Succession by Katee Robert, Things We Left Behind by Lucy Score, and Twisted Lies by Ana Huang. Themes and topics present in Dishonestly Yours include family and parenthood, love and heartbreak, deception and revenge, truth and lies, appearance versus reality, sense of self, grief, trust and loyalty, secrets, manipulation, found family and friendship, abuse and r*pe, mental health, and good versus evil.
Dishonestly Yours was a little slow to start and you spend the beginning of the novel waiting for Phoebe and Hailey to inevitably get caught or brought into a con. The novel wasn’t about pulling off a big high-stakes con, like in Ocean’s 8 or The Italian Job, like you might expect, although there were some brief flashbacks throughout describing previous cons that the families had pulled. I feel like it’s important to mention that some of the con flashbacks could be disturbing or graphic for some readers.
Rocky and Phoebe’s “will they/ won’t they” spicy tension was a definite plus and will keep you turning pages. Various mystery or suspense elements were enjoyable (like what happened to Phoebe and Hailey in Carlsbad that made them give up conning?) as they keep you engaged and guessing throughout. Even though it was slow to start, I got more invested in and excited about the plot around the two-thirds mark as this is when the action and suspense really started to ramp up. I don’t think it’s a spoiler to say that Dishonestly Yours ends fairly abruptly in a cliffhanger, which was frustrating because the book was really starting to get exciting in the last few chapters. However, it will be interesting to see where the story goes in book two! Dishonestly Yours focuses on Rocky and Phoebe and I’m hoping to see more of Hailey’s story in book two as I enjoyed her “Funshine Bear” optimism and bookish personality.
Dishonestly Yours was darker in nature than what I usually read, and it was slow to start but it was still enjoyable, especially Rocky and Phoebe’s steamy slow burn romance.

4.5 ⭐️
Okay WHAT!? I loved this book so much! I truly loved Rocky and Phoebe’s character AND I’m obsessed with their siblings as well. I am way too invested in their lives I cannot stop thinking about it 😭😂 like, I BEG for the next book to be released next week if possible… the way it ended had me 💀 I NEED ANSWERS!!!!
I loved the found family in this book SO. MUCH!! The tension that slowly but surely kept building between Phoebe and Rocky was just, so good!! I loved the flashbacks so much because I feel like it helped me become super invested in their relationship. Rocky is such a moody and sweet man…ugh I can’t. I love him!!
Thank you so much to Valentine PR and the authors for the arc 💖

This was good! I love their writing style. Very different from their other series but I enjoyed it. I wish there was another book to follow this one!

YES PLEASE!! I loved this book. Went into this one purposefully not looking too much into what the story would entail and I am so glad I did. Krista & Becca never cease to entertain me.
Cannot wait for book 2!

Thank you to Valentine PR for the e-ARC!
As an avid Krista and Becca Ritchie stan, I was more than excited to see what their new writing adventure outside of Addicted/Calloway would be. I genuinely enjoyed my time with our con-artist family of kids and am beyond intrigued to see where else the story is going.
If I wasn't enthralled by Phoebe and Rocky's undeniable chemistry and magnetic pull between them, I was by the every plot line that was brought to the surface. Whether it was shown through flashbacks or from the light brushstrokes of exposition, I was antsy for more information on this rag tag group.
If there is one thing that Krista and Becca Ritchie do well, it's the family aspect of their stories. I never once doubted the love and care each character had for their siblings or best friends turned family. The devotion that all of our characters share for each other had my heart in a chokehold. If the last few chapters taught me anything, it's that I am in for a wild ride and I am highly anticipating what comes next.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher Berkley Publishing Group for providing me with this book for free in exchange for my review! All opinions are my own. @BerkleyPub @BerkleyRomance #BerkleyPartner #Berkley #BerkleyBookstagram #BerkleyBookTok
This book wasn't awful but I did have a hard time connecting with any of the main characters and I thought they were a little annoying and vain. I am dissapointed because I was so excited to read this book. I would check out more books in the future from the Ritchie sisters in the future though.

I DNFed this book. There was way too much going on - I was 40% in with no answers, just questions. I might pick this back up when the additional books release, but it was very long, written really young and just had way too much going on.

I have not read a book by Krista and Becca Ritchie and wow im regretting that!! I absolutely devoured this book!! The plot of this whole story constantly had me on my toes the entire time! I absolutely loved it.
The tension between Rocky and Phoebe was sooooo good! I loved their banter and the spice was definitely doing it for me! It was on such a good cliffhanger I am so excited to read the 2nd book!

4/5
P.S. all opinions are mine in honest appreciation of my reading experience and were in exchange of the arc.
Thank you Netgalley and the authors for the arc, you made my dreams come true ✨ and pulled me out of the readers block of a lifetime.

I love Krista and Becca Ritchie's Addicted/ Calloway sisters so I was excited to start their latest series. Phoebe and Rocky's relationship is a beautiful push-and-pull dynamic, full of tension and chemistry. Their bond is so strong and honest, making their connection truly compelling. The enjoyed the sense of family in this book. With two sets of three siblings, they would do anything for each other. Their tight-knit group is heartwarming and intense, reminding me of the Addicted series. While the story starts slow, it quickly becomes captivating. The flawed, three-dimensional characters and unique plot full of secrets kept me hooked. The detestable parents only strengthen the found family trope central to the story. So many questions remain unanswered, leaving me eagerly awaiting the next installment. This was a beautifully crafted story that blends romance and mystery perfectly. Thank you Valentine PR, Berkley, and the authors for sending me an advanced reader copy!
