Summers at the Saint is a mix of a beach read, a mystery and a little romance on the side. Traci Eddings was once an "ain't" - someone who is not a regular, who vacationed at St. Cecilia (also called the Saint.) She was lucky enough to get a job there once summer and met a "saint" (Her boss's son) who she ended up marrying. Sadly, she loses him early in their marriage and now she is trying to rebuild the hotel she owns as his widow. She hires some new employees and comes up with a plan to open a staff residence, like she once lived in, years ago, when she worked there. While she has great ideas, and great staff, things are not going as they should, and two of her staff members are racing the clock to see if they can figure out what is going on.
This book is full of twists and turns and is a very fun read. It is a page turner, once you get into it a little bit, and Mary Kay Andrews creates some wonderful, strong female characters that you cannot help but fall in love with. If you are looking for something to bring on vacation this summer -- Summers at the Saint would be a good pick.
Thanks to St. Martin's press and Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I recently picked up "Summer at the Saint" by Mary Kay Andrews, and I have to say, it exceeded my expectations as a summer read. As a newcomer to Andrews' work, I was simply looking for something light and enjoyable to help combat the spring blues, and this book delivered so much more.
Set against the backdrop of a lavish beach resort, the story unfolds with a captivating blend of allure and intrigue. The diverse ensemble of characters adds depth to the narrative, each with their own compelling backstory and motivations. I found myself engrossed in the mystery, trying to piece together the plot twists and secrets, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I couldn’t predict until the very end.
One of the standout features of this book is its strong female characters. They are both lovable and fierce, each facing their challenges with resilience and authenticity. I appreciated how the story navigated themes of friendship, love, and personal growth without losing its engaging plot.
Ultimately, "Summer at the Saint" is more than just a light beach read—it’s an epic tale filled with drama, romance, and unexpected turns that left me both satisfied and reflective. If you're in the mood for a novel that encapsulates the essence of summer while delivering a rich story, I highly recommend giving this one a try!
Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, St. Martin's Press, and the author, Mary Kay Andrews, for this ARC. The book has been released, so get it at your local bookstore.

This was such a great beach read. Glamours setting, drama and a little mystery mixed in. I loved escaping into the world of the luxe hotel and all it's secrets. Some parts felt a bit slow and predictable but overall it was fun and entertaining.

*Summers at the Saint* is a fun, beachy read that totally nails the vibe of rich-girl drama mixed with a little mystery and romance. The story takes place at this luxe old-money hotel in the Hamptons, and it follows three women—Liv, Whitney, and Claire—each with their own secrets and complications. It’s got that classic summer escapism feel, but with just enough tension to keep things interesting. If you're into layered characters, family drama, and the kind of setting that makes you want to sip rosé by the pool, this one’s worth throwing in your beach bag.

Once again, love anything by MKA. One of my very few auto buy authors! Will be purchasing a hard copy for my collection!

First and foremost I would like to thank NetGalley for a copy of this ARC even though I’m about a year behind😅
I’m not sure why I put this book off for so long, but I did. The start was really promising and I liked it but then I feel like too many characters were in the book and I should have made a “family tree” of who is related to who and who knows who. It got a little confusing with the amount of characters and how much the author was trying to incorporate.
With that being said I didn’t hate it! I purposely did not read what this was about and strictly judged a book by its cover and I’m not mad about it! It was not the book I was expecting but it was the book I think I needed!
Overall I think this was a really fun summer read of a “who done it” and would recommend it!

Typical MKA summer read. Great characters and perfect for the beach! I love all the interconnected characters and storylines MKA always has, and the southern country club atmosphere this book takes us to.

Thank you for the advanced copy of this book. My reviews can be read on my GoodReads account here: https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/1335387-kelly

As a long-time fan of Mary Kay Andrews, *Summers at The Saint* did not disappoint. This captivating summer read is filled with twists, family drama, and a touch of romance. The charming Georgia coastal setting is the perfect backdrop for a story that mixes mystery with heartfelt moments. While the large cast of characters and multiple subplots can sometimes feel overwhelming, the intriguing storyline and strong female lead make it a great beach read. Andrews' signature style shines through with relatable characters and a compelling plot, making it a solid 4/5 stars for me.

Looking for a fun getaway read? "Summers at the Saint" takes you to a charming hotel on the Georgia coast with a mix of heartwarming moments and intriguing secrets. You'll follow Traci as she navigates the challenges of running the hotel, deals with family drama, and even unravels a mystery or two. It's a fun and engaging story with well-developed characters that makes for a delightful read, especially if you enjoy a blend of romance and suspense.

After the initial pages, I found myself not connecting with the story or characters, so I decided to pass on this book. Did not finish

A cozy mystery wrapped up in a women’s fiction novel.
Traci manages The Saint, a posh resort that has been in her husband’s family for years. But she grew up an “Ain’t”, someone from the wrong side of the tracks who married into money. When her husband dies she learns of all the secrets and lies his family have kept hidden.
I do like Andrews’ books, this story went on far longer than necessary.

Mary Kay Andrews has done it again! I love her mysteries and this might be my favorite book yet. I loved the location and the big pink building of St. Cecelia. This is a story full of family drama and a bunch of summer beach action. There is some love, old friendships, and a few bad boys. I read this book in two days and highly recommend this book to everyone!

This is a great beachy read (or listen) full of unexpected plot twists and charming lovable (and not so lovable) characters. Really made me wish I could take a vacation at The Saint. Such a well-written and attention keeping story.

Summers at the Saint was such a fun read. The book hooks you from the beginning and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Don't feel discouraged by the length and introduction of the different characters because the author is able to keep things flowing for the reader. Romance, mystery, friendships....this book has it all!

This was a flashback coming of age story that had the typical twist and turns you expect from MKA! Great beach read for sure. You feel the characters stories and emotions as we learn the truths and secrets of The Saint.

This was my first Mary Kay Andrews book, it came with a high recommendation and it just fell flat for me. I am more of a younger romance reader at this point, I struggle because I'm not into young adult romance but I also am not into older adult romance yet either. I'm not sure what I expected, maybe more between Elin Hilderbrand and Carley Fortune and I didn't feel like I got that.

This book had some family dysfunction in low-moderate stakes mystery and a vacation setting, which I always love! It was relatively lighthearted and had enough mystery to keep me engaged, and I had fun reading it. It didn't stand out to me, but was enjoyable and I would recommend as a beach read. 3.5/5

Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for the advance electronic copy of this title.
Some time passed between my receiving this ARC and actually reading it. I had read books by this author before--fun seasonal titles--and the cover suggested it was going to be a light beach read. I was in for a surprise! There was an interesting assortment of characters at The Saint--long time employees, brand new employees, and guests. At first it seemed obvious whom I should like and I wasn't really expecting any bad guys--just maybe some rude and obnoxious ones. But...the blurb did in fact mention a tragic death, and suddenly concerns about a hotel losing money turned into a murder mystery.
I was sad to see people I thought were good guys turn into bad guys, and I was a little surprised to see who some of them turned out to be. But I was also delighted to see people trying to make good on past mistakes, friends reunite, and new relationships form.
Though not as light as I expected, I would still recommend this as a beach read!

Mary Kay Andrews has captivated my heart and sucked me into another great story! This is full of many different characters that grow and change throughout the book. It was a great read and definitely should be added to your list!
