I love Mary Kay Andrews, and unlike most authors, her books just keep getting better. This is the perfect beach read - a little romance, a little humor, a little mystery. It's the perfect combination! Highly recommend the audiobook!

This was exactly the kind of fun summer romp I wanted it to be. I found it page-turning and sparkling, and I was rooting for Traci all along. My first MKA but not my last!

I'm such a fan that so many authors are adding a little depth to the genre they write. Instead of a chick lit or summer light read, this one had a little suspense with it. You would never classify it as a mystery, but it had me guessing about a few things.
I love that there are multiple ages of characters represented that are all relatable and interesting. All of them leading into multiple storylines of love, family, grief, secrets and scandal. This might seem like a lot, but the layers align and make for an easy to follow plot.
While I never want to lose anyone in my family, I always dream of inheriting a hotel/spa/inn to run. This is the perfect backdrop for a summer read. It kept me engaged and wanting more. The complex layers and unique and likable characters, made this a great read.
I read this as an immersive read while listening to the audiobook. Kathleen McInerney was a terrific choice of narrator and made listening a pleasure. She brought it all to life and let the story shine.

This book was SO dang good. The twists, the turns, the plot. At first, I wasn’t sure what to expect with so many characters, nor where the story was going at the start, but once it started, it never stopped. It was so, so well paced, the alternating POVs really added something to the story, and the character flesh outs were phenomenal. I really felt like I knew the characters… that is, until the twists came! Eek! Such a good story and MKA is a WONDERFUL writer. So sad I waited to long to read this one, but I really enjoyed it! Thanks for the opportunity to read as an ARC!

Mary Kay Andrews' books are always perfect for summer...some mystery, some romance, some beachy atmosphere, and a bit of glitz and glamour. And she's done it again with Summers at the Saint. As you read the book, you can just picture yourself at the resort as i a Saint or an Ain't. Grab this book, throw it in your bag, and head to the beach, pool, or just your front porch. Enjoy!

I really tried liking this. I enjoyed the story until Parrish died but honestly after she died, I felt like all Tracey was concerned about was the reputation of the resort. When she did show empathy it felt very fake. I'm thinking Mary Kay Andrews writing just isn't for me... STUNNING cover though!

Summers at the Saint is classic Mary Kay Andrews—fun, breezy, with just the right mix of mystery, drama, and beachy vibes. The setting at the old resort is super charming, and the mix of past secrets and present-day scandal keeps things interesting without getting too heavy.
Perfect for a poolside or weekend read especially if you love stories about friendships, second chances, and a little coastal intrigue.
This was my first time reading any of her books. I enjoyed it well enough.

This book wasn’t at all what I expected! I guess I judged a book by its cover and was surprised. It was so much more complex and intertwined and just.. good. I was anticipating summer vibes and some drama but this one teetered on the edge of thriller once certain events started happening. There was twists, drama, love, grief, and family. There was a heavy introduction of characters in the beginning, but each was important and was provided enough of background to decipher who’s who. Worth reading!!

Mary Kay Andrews is my favorite Christmas author and I was sooo excited for her to come out with a summer book!! I’m obsessed with her witting style and I loved every single character. And the plot twists!! Loved this book and can’t wait for whatever she has coming out next!

A very interesting read. It’s definitely more of a mystery/literary fiction than a romance, there’s a little bit of romance but not that much. I found the concept really intriguing, the mystery kept me guessing throughout the book. I also appreciated some of the themes/messages. There were a few too many characters and they got confusing at times. It was hard to keep track of everything going on. I enjoyed the ending and think this is a great summer read to pick up!

I'm never disappointed by a Mary Kay Andrews book. This one was mostly mystery and had twist after twist. The coastal setting in the southeast was vividly described, and the resort where most of the story takes place sounded like the perfect vacation spot. Her characters were great. Traci grew up as a "townie" but fell in love and married into the prominent Eddings family, who own the resort. Her niece and her former best friend's daughter are both working at the resort, and she has hired a new superstar chef. Unfortunately, tragedy occurs and dredges up memories of another tragedy from the past. Law enforcement and some amateur sleuths chase down lots of interesting theories and possible suspects. I like the sassy writing and entertaining story that I can always count on in an MKA book. Thanks to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for a digital copy to review.

MKA can do no wrong for me! Summer is just not a summer without a book by here. This one did not disappoint. I loved the setting and the characters in this newest book by Mary Kay Andrews. A little bit of mystery, a little bit of love, and the perfect backdrop for a perfect beach read!
Thank you to Net Galley for this copy of Summers at the Saint in exchange for an honest review!

Only the elite vacation at the St. Cecelia hotel, known simply as “the Saint”. Traci Eddings grew up working there, but married the son of the boss, and now runs the hotel. Short staffed for the summer, Traci makes a plan to recruit new workers and return the hotel to its glory days. However, tragedy strikes when a death occurs on the property, and new information regarding a drowning at the hotel in the past may push Traci to the brink of breaking.
This was such a great drama-filled summer read! I love the luxurious resort hotel backdrop, the large cast of characters, and suspense. I liked the mystery elements of the book, and it makes for the perfect beach read, especially given the idyllic setting. I enjoyed this as an audiobook but I think I’d prefer the physical copy - I’ll need to reread via my Kindle copy in the future! This is the perfect book to throw in your beach bag this summer and devour by the ocean’s edge!
Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for my gifted digital copy!

Mary Kay Andrews writes fun and easy to read books every year. Yes it can be predictable but I always enjoy her novels and this was no different. This is a perfect summer reading escape that involves a great setting, a little mystery, and light hearted moments.

I’m just starting to read this author and I totally got Elin Hilderbrand vibes, which is just what I want for a summer read. I love that this book had all the aspects I wanted, romance, mystery, thrills, intrigue. I want nothing more than to read this author’s whole backlog.
I love how there were so many character’s intertwined throughout the book. We got an assortment of ages, which I always find fun. The family dynamics were twisted and it made for a great time.
I will be recommending this book to so many people, I mean I already have. There were even twists I didn’t see coming.

This was unexpectedly so good, I loved the mix of summer vibes with an ongoing mystery. I’m not one to like being scared while reading, so I often stay away from anything involving a mystery aspect. However this was perfect for those who don’t want to be scared, but rather follow a mystery unravelling, I loved the setting and the large cast of characters. Overall, this is great for someone looking for a beach read with a bit more depth to it.

If you’re looking for a murder mystery at the beach, this book is for you.
Giving it a three because while it was fairly enjoyable, it had too many characters & was longer than it needed to be.

Summers at the Saint was a fun, breezy summer read—perfect for lounging by the pool or escaping into a world of glitz and secrets. The setting was lush and atmospheric, and the drama kept me turning the pages. While it didn’t go especially deep and some plot points felt a bit predictable, I still enjoyed the ride. If you’re looking for a light, entertaining escape with a hint of scandal, this one fits the bill.

Summers at The Saint by Mary Kay Andrews is a fun, feel-good book! The setting is a cute coastal town, and the characters feel super relatable. The writing makes everything feel so real, you can almost imagine yourself there, enjoying the beach and the sunny days. The story is about second chances and family, with a great mix of lighthearted moments and some deeper emotions. I really enjoyed seeing the main character grow and figure things out, it was inspiring and easy to relate to. The inn, “The Saint”, is also a big part of the story, and it’s described so well that you’ll want to visit it yourself. The whole book has this perfect summer vibe that makes you want to keep reading. Thank you NetGalley for the ARC.

I just really did not care for this one. I was not bored per se, but not invested either which sucks because I've hear great things about this one.
