I don’t typically read a lot of this genre, but I really enjoyed this book! The pace was fast, there was a lot going on which made the story fly by, and the luxery resort setting was fun.
There were a lot of characters in this story that made the first part of the book seem overwhelming, but I found that I quickly fell into the story and had no problem following along.
I will say I found the “mysteries” to be a bit predictable, and was able to figure it out almost as soon as each were introduced.

Mary Kay Andrews is always a favorite of mine for summer. I especially love her books for setting a summertime tone. Summers at the Saint really makes you pay attention in the beginning, there are a lot of characters and set up. It didn't quite sound like Mary Kay Andrew's voice and I was really feeling concerned that I was not following along until just after the half-way point, then it all started coming together. To be honest, I almost gave up on it. I am glad that I didn't! This book is friendship, a little romance, a little mystery and a lot of entertainment, especially during the second half. Thank you very much to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book for review.

Thank you to Netgalley, St. Martins Press, and Mary Kay Andrews for an advance copy of Summers at the Saint in exchange for an honest review. The more and more I read of Mary Kay Andrews, the more I need to read. Summers at the Saint was another out of the park book by Andrews. I truly have always loved the idea of going somewhere exclusive and lavish for the summers so going to St. Cecelia (The Saint) satisfied that itch. We find ourselves meeting Traci (our MC) as she is attempting to refurbish and bring the life back to the Saint. Throughout this process and the summer, we meet many exceptional characters with different back stories that all add to the picture of what The Saint is becoming. Sprinkle in some crappy family members, murder, and stealing and you get yourself the perfect summer read. This one will be out on May 7th and I cannot recommend it enough for your summer beach reading.

This was an interesting twist on a MKA story. This had a bit of mystery, drama, and romance. I really enjoyed it. The perfect summer read.

Another great read from Mary Kay Andrew’s!! This has all of her usual rich character development. A shocking event happens early on that is surprising but then acts as a thread for the twists in the rest of the book. This book had me wishing the Saint Cecilia resort was a real place I could visit! Definitely recommend this book!

a lot of characters to keep track of and relationships between them
a little romance, drama and mystery
but too long and slow in the middle

I do love MKA and her books but this one really did become a very quick listen for me. I listened to it whenever I have minutes to go. The author paints an exclusive hotel that anyone would like to go to. After years of being in the red this resort owner has to think outside the box and offer extra housing to fill in some of the need positions in the resort. What could go wrong with employees living in dorm style housing? Well a great deal apparently. What follows is a murder and then plots that unfold of employees doing horrible things that hurt the reputation of the resort and it's owner. There were so many heart wrenching backstories but I love that idea that the women conquer in the end . I loved the book and the narrator was great. Thank you #NetGalley for the ARC

Thank you, St. Martin's Press for this advance copy in exchange for my review.
I think this might be Mary Kay's best book yet! What a beautiful cast of complex characters.
Summers at the Saint is heartbreaking all while making you laugh out loud. The murder mystery plot throughout surprised me in the best possible way.
Mary Kay's summers in Georgia are always wonderful but something about the Saint Cecelia is just absolute perfection.
I hate to compare the two beach reads queens but if you're a fan of Elin, or more specifically Hotel Nantucket and you've never read anything by Mary Kay Andrews please let this be your first read. This is 100% the book for you. You'll love it, I promise.

This book was fantastic. Definitely a great summer read. However, I will say some of the scenes were pretty intense; they include a fire and drug use.

Fun summer read with romance and mystery. Mary Kay Andrews pulls you in immediately with this one! Traci is such a great character.

What a great book
Thank you allowing me to read an early release copy
Mary Kay Andrew’s did it again
This story draws you in. I could put this down
it is a mix of. Murder mystery, love, revenge
Loved it.

I loved this book! It was a fun beach read while having a fun murder mystery aspect and not being too boring. Highly recommend!

Mary Kay Andrews' latest novel is a delightful departure from the typical summer romance I expected. Instead, it blends elements of chick lit with suspense and mystery, resulting in a captivating and engaging read. The book artfully weaves together a thrilling mystery with a touch of romance, exploring themes of betrayal and deeply buried secrets.
What sets this book apart is its perfect balance of mystery as the main course with romance as a side dish. True to Mary Kay Andrews’ style, the plot is full of twists and turns, but it's the depth and intricacy of these plot points that kept me hooked until the very end.
While there's much to keep track of in the story, the narrative flows smoothly. The hard-earned HEA is a fitting conclusion, making the journey worth every moment. This book is not just a beach read—it's a perfect read for any time of the year!
Special thanks to NetGalley, St. Martin's Press, and Mary Kay Andrews for the opportunity to read and review this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

I love Mary Kay Andrews' writing and this was one of my favorites she's written in a while! From beginning to end, I was just hooked on the characters and their stories. I felt like I was apart of The Saint family. I just love the way MKA develops the characters so you really feel a connection to each and every one of them. They all have such relatability too which I really appreciate. I enjoyed this story a lot and thought there were a lot of good lessons woven into it as well. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

4.5 Stars
Summers at the Saint was such a captivating story. I did not want to put it down. This is a murder mystery based at an old fancy resort. Besides the murder and attempted murder, the Saint seemed like it would of been such a fun place to work at for the summer when you were young. There were so many twists and turns that this book kept me at the edge of my seat. This is the perfect summer cozy mystery read.
Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martins Press for the opportunity to read this book.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I read it over a few days and kept coming back to it. The reason I give it 4 stars is because the beginning felt a but long and drawn out. Traci is the CEO of a hotel looking for staff, and she is kind of picking people up throughout the first chapters of the book. While this is helpful to get to know some of the characters, overall I just thought it took awhile to get the real story started! I loved (LOVED) Whelan. I wish we had more of him in the book! I loved visualizing this amazing property in a lazy beach town. There were certainly ups and downs in the book but overall it was a great vacation read that once the plot got started, I was totally hooked and excited to come back to. It just took me a little longer to get there!

This was an intriguing read! So many layers with complex family relationships, romance, secrets, and a mystery. An interesting mix of characters as they tackle class divisions in a small resort town. I enjoyed the plot of challenges of running a historic upper-class resort with a mix bag of young employees and suspicious circumstances that keep the twists coming. This book has a lot of depth and will have you turning the pages.

WOW! Mary Kay Andrews, author of “SUMMERS AT THE SAINT” has written a captivating and amazing novel again! I am a huge fan of Mary Kay Andrews’ novels, and this will be a huge winner! This summer escape is to The St. Cecilia, a distinguished hotel, known as “The Saint” on the coast in Georgia. The elite clientele are known as “The Saints”, and those who work there and live in town are known as “The Aint’s” The genres for this well-written novel are Contemporary Fiction, Mystery, Suspense, Romance,Women’s Fiction, and Chick-Lit. I loved everything about this novel!
Mary Kay Andrews is a “Master Story Teller” and vividly describes the scenery, landscape, the plot, and the dramatic and colorful characters. The timelines for this story are set in the past and present at “The Saint”, especially when it pertains to the characters and events. Traci Edding, was originally one of the “Aint’s” who married a “Saint” . Now a recent widow, Traci wants to upgrade and bring The Saint back to its original esteem in society. Traci is faced with problems, when staff is leaving, replacing staff, and strange occurrences at the hotel. Years ago, a young boy drowned in the pool at The Saint, and Traci was one of the lifeguards, as well as her friend, Shannon. After that incident, many things changed. Traci and Shannon no longer are friends.
There are secrets, betrayals, danger and murders that cloud the sunshine . Mary Kay Andrews gives us suspense, twists, and surprises. Some of the adults recently hired at The Saint were children who were there, years before. There is also Romance, and budding friendships. This is also a novel about families, mothers and daughters, friends, second chances, forgiveness, love and hope. I highly recommend this memorable and thought-provoking novel.

Summers at the Saint belongs in every beach bag this summer! This page turning mystery kept me engaged from the first page. Luxury, family, and colleague drama all take place at a beautiful resort that is a vacationers dream…. Until someone gets murdered. Deep secrets are revealed as these likable characters start to dig into a hidden past.

“Summers at the Saint” by Mary Kay Andrews
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Release Date: 5/7
Genre: Contemporary Fiction
Andrews has done it again! I still remember picking up “Sunset Beach” because it was on a must read Summer list. Since then I’ve read an additional 10 of her books and plan to get to all of them one day! I love that the main character is always a strong woman finding herself and typically solving a mystery at the same time! This book had a cold case and a new murder that multiple people were working to solve.
Traci Eddings now partial owner of The Saint a resort hotel off the coast of Georgia. Growing up she was considered an Aint meaning her family had no money and she didn’t get to go to the Saint for Fun. She worked there as a lifeguard with her best friend Shannon until one summer she fell in love with the owners son Hoke. After Hoke died in a plan crash a few years ago she took over the daily operations of the Saint. The problem is the profits have gone down and she can’t figure out why. Traci hires a group of young adults to live in their newly built staff dorms to work in various places around the resort. When one gets murdered two of the staff work together to figure out what happened. What they didn’t expect was they were putting themselves in danger.
